I had to stop phen!!! Have you?

I have only taken Phen for one full week and the past 3 days I have had some really bad heart palpitations and also chest pains that will come and go all evening. It was beginning to freak me out and I decided to just stop phen. But I have been off for 2 days now and I am acting like a pig with food. I did so good with this pill that I lost 5lbs in that first week and I felt amazing as far as energy and no hunger. But I'm worried about long term effects. Can any of you help me out and give me some info and if this has happened to you? I really want to take it again because I'm so tired of this pregnancy weight!!! HELP!!!!!!

The same thing happened to me. I had been taking it for a couple of weeks and on and off I would have palpitations at bed time and then on the second week I had them for 3 hours so I stopped taking it. I hadn't lost anything my second week on it anyway but I am done with it.

I had the same thing happen to me with the heart palpitations, so bad that I went to the doctor to get checked out. Everything is fine he said its just my bodies way of adjusting to the pill, but he said I could take the pill every other day. I have been taking it every other day and the weight is coming off. Always be safe, as my doctor says "There are no stupid questions or concerns when it comes to your body." Good luck!

When I started the Phen, my doc warned me that may happen. Fortunately it didn't, but I did have mega-energy.

My take is, don't endanger your health to lose weight. Like hbg said, maybe talk to your doc and take the pill every other day or if you have the 37.5 mg pill, break it in half. If Phen won't work for you there are alternative medications that others have talked about on here...I don't have any experience with anything else, so I can't give you more info. And if you don't want to take any meds, then good ole changing your eating habits and exercise is the way to go. There are several people here who don't take phen, but please, stick around for the support!! You can lose this weight!!

Same thing = palpatations, couldn't sleep, "wired" feeling, after 10 days on Phen. I quit taking Phen, but I also quit Diet Coke. Now I am taking 1/2 the Phen , 15 mg. instead of 30 mg, but this is only my second day back on it. I feel okay so far.
