Thread: Advice Needed If you can

    Hi All-

    I posted before in regards to my starting Phen and the shots, and in the first week I lost 6 pounds... Here are my 2 questions though that are still nagging at me....

    1. The night sweats...Oh My Gosh...someone please tell me how to stop satan from breathing on me, because I am literally sweating during my sleep, and not be crass, but I sleep nude..*laughs* but I am still sauna sweating...Started when I started taking the Phen.....any advice? Also, I work out at night for up to 2 hours...... and hit the hay about 2 hours after.....

    2. Other problem..I am losing the weight, inches,,,cool...but are there any recommendations from you all on toning? I mean I am not seeing results for my mid section yet..everything else is toning but not my tummy....*sighs* and yes, I am doing the crunches, smunches and anything else for that section.And I know I wont ever have a flat flat tummy, but I want a more firmer rounder one.

    Ok...thanks for letting me wallow....

    Tahiti, I can't help with problem #1, but maybe with #2. My oldest is a physical therapist and I will talk to her about it when I see her Thursday, so I will get back to you soon.

    In order to reach my final goal weight by the end of 2008, I need a 7.5 lb loss per month. So, a 7.5 lb loss per month will be my goal. Anything more than 7.5 will be icing on the cake I didn't give in to.

    Update-

    Just got back from the Doctors and I lost 2 pounds...I kind of sighed about that one...Thought it would be a whopping 20..*of course I am kidding* But...Check it..I gained 2 pounds in muscle..so...yahoo... Riddle me This- the nightsweats are still happening. He is thinking menopause... at 36...yeah..so they took my blood.... I dont want to be in menopausal at 36..Cant I still get my groove on??? Anyways- he suggested for me to do my weights first for 45 minutes, treadmill for 30....So I will let you all know how that goes next week...

    tahiti - I talked to my daughter the PT and she said that lifting weights in addition to exercising is the best for general toning. The bad news is as far as the tummy it is very difficult to tone it up if you have been very overweight. I know in my case I will probably need a tummy tuck to get rid of the extra skin. When I lose enough weight to have that problem I will most likely try lifting weights while I hold my abs tight. I'm not sure, I'm just getting started with this whole thing. I went to the gym yesterday and did a difficult for me 30 minute preprogramed weight loss workout on the treadmill. Then I did 10 minutes on the stationary bike. I plan to keep moving every day so that maybe my skin will tone with my loss and not be too much of an issue for any areas other than my mid-section. I will do more toning research online and let you know if I find any good ways to tone the tummy. Happy losing and congrats on the 2 lbs!!

    I almost forgot to respond to your menopause comment. I'm only 36 too and I had a hysterectomy 3 1/3 years ago. I was told on my 30th birthday that I needed the surgery, but I put it off for 3 years. I regret that because the surgery was the best decision I ever made for my health. Sometimes I feel some of the "menopause" symptoms because of the surgery, but I don't let them get me down. If it is really menopause, and you were not planning on having any more children, then try to keep your head up and think of the reward of not having the time of the month thing to worry about ever again. I love that part.

    Thank you for the advice and info. No need for looking for more info, I will just do what I know of to do and look for a rich man to pay for lipo... *laughs* actually, it is over stretched skin after my son...11 years ago...it just hangs...talk about a turn off the bedroom light mood enhancer...At any rate- I will work something out...Also, you are doing well and will get better! Keep it going, and dont give up. I am taking a small 30 minute workout today as my cycle is on and I am dying....At any rate keep in touch via email and let me know how you are, or if you need a buddy......
