Someone sent me this info this morning and I thought it was interesting so I wanted to share:
WATER: 1. 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. 2. In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger. 3. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as much as 3%. 4. One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of Washington study. 5. Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue. 6. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers. 7. A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page. 8. Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less to develop bladder cancer. |

That is some great info...so for me who has been literally forcing myself to drink anywhere between 100-150 oz a day , I should be in better health. Maybe this is why my back is not hurting me at night when I sleep. I use to wake up 10-12 times a night to change positions from a stiff back ( lower back injury )since I started exercising and drinking water , even the very first night I slept with no back pain for the first times in months.

Wow, that's great that the pain is lessening! My hubby and I have a really bad mattress and boxsprings and we wake up EVERY morning with backaches. It stinks when you want to sleep in on the weekends but can't because it hurts too bad! I guess that's a sign that I need to get my butt up and stop being lazy!

I know what you mean...the last couple of days it has been a little sore, but i think that is because my monthly is due any day now, but nothing compared to what it usually is. My husband has even noticed. He asked me the other day if I have been sleeping better because he noticed I have not been moving as much and I am snoring he said!
I told him he was full of S***, I dont snore, he said yeah, right , and you dont **** either!!!! He said like a train sometimes.
