How do I go about asking for the Phentermine? How did you ask the doc?

You may have a hard time getting a doctor to prescribe it. Some will....most wont. If you are way overweight....you should just ask for it. I would call first and see if they will prescribe it. You can just go to your family doctor. My doctor is the one that recommended that I take it. I have been very successful with losing....I lose an average of 3 lbs a week! Good luck!

I looked up "weight loss clinic" in the yellow pages of the phone book. The dr is the one who suggested taking phen. you had to be at least 50 lbs. overweight.

mom of 3 is right,look weight loss clinics in the phonebook or online like i did. make sure you call around though. i found different prices and different prerequistes. the one i am going to this week the minimum BMI has to be 27. i am right at the and only need to lose about 20. i called a few others and the BMI were different. just do some calling.

Also look for "Bariatric Doctors" or "Bariatric Clinics". I went to the PCP and said, look, I am way too fat, my BMI is like 46 and I need help. I was up front and told him that I am committed to working out regularly and limiting my food intake. He just wrote the ** and that was that. I think, unfortunately, that you do have to be very heavy to just be given it by most docs.
