Am I losing too fast?

I have been on phen 37.5 for exactly two weeks today. I have gone from 223 to 209.5 in that short time. I should not complain about losing, however I worried about it coming off so fast that I end up with sagging skin in my mid section, since that is where most of my excess weight is.

I should probably give a little bit more information. I also have PCOS (which is why my weight is in the middle) which has caused me to be insulin resistant. So I am also on Metformin. I am currently taking 1 pill of 500mg and working up to taking 2000mg (having to take it slow due to the nasty side effects). I am under the care of my endocrinologist and am not required to check back in for blood work until being on phen for 3 months.

I am doing good with my water intake but could be doing better!! I am drinking around 60oz a day.

As for food intake I eat close to what a diabetic would. I watch the carbs but am allowed 160 per day. I eat really healthy during the day and for dinner I eat whatever my daughter and I feel like eating (just not fried food) but just watch my portions.

As for exercise....does walking through the mall last Saturday count? I did just get my winsor pilates DVD's and resistance circle and I plan to start doing them, and get a membership at YMCA so I can use the treadmill and take my daughter swimming.

So is this much weigh loss in the beginning completly normal? Will it slow down?

Great Job! 14 lbs in two weeks is great and your weight loss will most likely taper off to less pounds lost each week. Much of the initial weight loss is water weight.

This is true ... You really should start excercising to help prevent from skin sagging. When my sister inlaw got her script I told her make sure you excercise (she hates to do anything physical) or you'll get saggy skin & she was so afraid to get that also. Well she has lost about 40 lbs now (2 months)with saggy skin. She is freaking becuz of it and regreting not listening to excercise.
I hope you do that way you don't have that problem as you lose.

Thank you for the responses.

I think I remember reading around and seeing posts about making sure you drink enough water while help your skin form back to your new body.

The other thing that I heard was to do resistance training, which I am hoping the pilates will do. Then I am going to do the treadmill for my cardio. I living in the frozen tundra so going for walks outside it out of the question till at least April.

I think staying away from the weight machines at this point would be the best idea until I start getting to a lower weight. I am wanting to get back into the 130's (which I weighed before pregnancy and PCOS)Maybe once I get back into the 140's-150's I can start the toning/building mucle process.

How much did your SIL weigh when she started Phen?

Congrats and I don't think the weight loss is too rapid. I lost 12 lbs my first week (and I am 12 days into taking phentermine and phendimetrazine) and I am going to start an exercise regiment so that I will not have the saggy skin problem.

I am now at 3 weeks and I am down 17 pounds!! I did measure myself and I am losing inches but I am not really noticing any difference in clothes yet. I will try again in my old smaller clothes after I lose another 15 or so.
