I would love to find a buddy who is close to my situation that we can get through this together.I am a 28 yr old mother of 3.My starting weight was 212 when I started all this I began phentermine on aug 20th and have dropped 19 ponds so far.I am taking 30mg and trying to walk daily a half hour to a hour depending on my time.I would LOVE to get down to 140.My mini goal is 175 by christmas.I am currently taking a week break I am waiting on my new pills should be here by weds.As for eating habits I am trying to get 1000 cals a day fruits vegs slimfast and yogurt are my new best friends.I would like someone we can just compare our days and progress with.Well good luck to all and hope to talk to some of you soon. Hi Tanita,

I'm Kristen, 31 yo stay at home mom to 2 boys. My starting weight was 226 and I've lost 13 pounds the first month on phen. I'm taking the 37.5mg and working out using DVD's here at home. My goal is 185 (I'm 6'1") preferably by the first part of next year.

I'm trying to stay around 1200 calories a day, no more than 1400. I'm also using slim fast daily - and I'm really enjoying it. If you'd like to be buddies, that would be GREAT! Feel free to PM me!

I am looking for the same thing!!! I need a buddy!! I am in my mid twenties ... about to get engaged/married ... working full time and have had many ups and downs in the past with weight! I am 5'5 in the 170's (higher 170's) looking to get to 145 by January! My phen is arriving this week!!! Along with my winsor pilates and I am going to try to do elliptical/treadmill as much as I can!! HOWEVER ... until the phen arrives I am eating like I am going to the electric chair! I really hit an all time low today when I pulled into wendys got my #4 then pulled in right accross the street to Dunkin Donuts for a jelly and a choclate donut! I did 2 drive-ins in under 10 minutes!!! Who does that??? Does anyone else have this problem ... is it okay to go crazy before a diet and to eat all the things that you think your going to miss??

I know what you mean, I am supposed to be going to my tablets this week (hopefully tomooro) and i have been eating non-stop!! I think it normal or so people say! good luck

It is just so cruel what food can do to a person!!!I just ran out of my first months supply and am waiting for my next order to get here so I am on a week break.I feel so guilty eating when I know I have not taken a pill.It is all a head game.I can see where these could be habit forming but the benefit is sure worth it in my option.I love my phen I have never made this much progress in trying to lose weight.Does anyone have any good tricks on trying to get yourself to drink more water that seems to be my biggest challenge.Well have a good day and good luck!

Hey there, in regards to drinking water - it's ESSENTIAL in weight loss - trust me! If you're having a hard time getting enough water in (I cant imagine...doesnt the phen make you thirsty!!??) But, if you are in fact having a hard time, how about those Crystal lite to go packets? They are only 5 cals and I hear they are very good. Try to drink a whole bottle of water with dinner....I have a Dasani water bottle that's 33.8oz, and I drink at least 4 of them a day - and a whole one with dinner. I start drinking as soon as I get up and take my phen...and dont stop until right after dinner time. It's hard to get started, but once you get used to having a lot of water each day - it'll get easier. You'll be able to tell when you need to drink - my body tells me! Good luck!

Imac, don't feel too bad about your drive thru fiasco. You are about to make a life change so if it makes you feel better to get one last does of "not good for you" food, then so be it. Just try to see this new "diet" as a lifestyle change instead of a temporary diet. You can still have Wendy's and jelly donuts, just not in the same day. You can eat whatever you want, you just have to keep it reasonable and you have to work out to burn off what you ate.

I had a McDonalds happy meal the other day. Before I started this journey I would have a Big n Tasty meal and a large soda. The happy meal cured my craving just as well and I was full too. Of course it is better to eat healthy foods most days, but some days you gotta let yourself have a "bad" food so you don't feel deprived. Just try to keep your calories between 1200-1800 and you will be fine.

If you haven't already you should start tracking your calories, before you start your "diet" to see what you are really eating normally. Then, try to cut it down. I was eating 2500-3000 calories a day! Now I try to keep it below 1800, but sometimes I eat 2000 on bad days. I track mine at sparkpeople dot com. It lets you track your calories, and your workouts so you can see how many calories you burned also.

I have been off my phen for 9 days now and I can tell I want to eat more, but am trying my best to stay reasonable. I have to control myself! It is really hard, but I don't want to go backwards. This is a lifetime thing for me, I never want to see 215 again!! Smaller portions, healthier choices, and exercise are the keys!! Good luck!!

As far as water I cannot drink enough either!! I try to drink more but only get in about 48 oz a day. It is really hard to drink that much water! I use fruit punch flavor packets in mine, they are sugar free, no calories, no sodium or anything. It's Walmarts Great Value brand. Good luck with that too.

I am on my way out the door now I will have to pickup some of those packets.I am thinking about putting a gallon of water in the fridge that says moms only do not drink!and I have to drink it by the end of the day maybe I can come up with some kind of little daily reward for myself till I get use to it. My biggest symptom with the phen is not sleeping well at night.The dry mouth has not been a real problem.I am on a break right now I am waiting on my 2nd shipment of pills to come in should be here tues or wed I am really wanting to kick it up a notch when I get them.I think I am going to have to make a water bottle my new best friend I will try to accomplish the goal of having it with me every waking hour maybe I can find a really nice looking one and put motivational stickers on it so I can remeber why I am doing this.I cant complain I lost 20 pounds in a month with my first pills I am taking the 30mg I order from ******** very smooth transaction and I had them in 3 days of ordering.I have a long ways to go yet about another 45 lbs but darn it I'm worth it time to do something for myself.Hubby isn't complaing either ;] Tanita

Tanita, I think that's a good idea about the water bottle. I use a Dasani bottle that's over 33oz. I drink several of those a day! It's easier to me to drink more with this bottle, for some reason. LOL

Thats great about losing 20 lbs in a month! Way to get a kick start huh!?? Keep us updated after you get your next pills....keep up the good work!

Thanks Kristen!I started out at 212 and now am at 192 I never thought I would be back in onederland again.I think I might have a bottle of water w/ a really long straw attached to my hip know any docs? Ha Ha I have a new goal of 175 I decided to make a weigh in on weds for eveyone else with the same goal.Its on another post By christmas would be so nice I only see my husbands family a couple times a year and I would love to knock them over at christmas.Well off to the treadmill have a good day! thanks guys for the great advice ... I am definately taking my binge eating down a notch preparing for the new diet. The phen is on its way ... I should be startin wednesday/thursday. Thank you for the advice about the tracking calories ... I am really going to do that because I have never done it before! Also what are some calorie regimines you guys follow .. like I said I am close to 180 and I want to get to 140 ... so how many calories should I be consuming??? hey guys - I never thought I'd be here again, but I am. I got into taking phen about 4 years ago when I THOUGHT I was fat. I had some mild good luck at it but gave up because of the cost.
4 years later and now I really am fat! I used to be a muscular size 12 - I looked like about a 10. Now I am a size 18.
After living in NYC for 4 years and eating too much take out, then getting pregnant, I am up 60 pounds! YIKES! NEVER EVER EVER thought I'd be 200 pounds or over! EVAAAAAR!
So I am once again going to give phen a try.
I've worked out my whole life, and had a 60 pound weight loss at the age of 13. I was a fat kid, but got down to a size 2/4 by 9th grade. Oh how I miss those days! I slowly got up to about 160 in my late 20s. God I can't beleive I thought I was such a cow then. UGH!!! 4 short years ago!
Anyway, I'm not trying to get back to a 2 or 4, but 8 or 10 would be great! at 32, I have to be realistic.
I tried Nutrisystem a few months back, and it was prety bad. I am a vegetarian, and the food selecton was not great. Ok, fine, I can deal with that, but the food gave me the SERIOUS trots and I was SICK TO MY STOMACH EVERY DAY. It took me a while to accept the fact that it was the food, because I really wanted it to work. Very dissapointing. The food is so full of preservatives that I think it's easy for it to cause a reaction in some people.
Anyway, so now I am trying to lose my babt weight PLUS the extra 30 I put on since 2002 before getting pregnant. : (
My Dr. refused prescription, so I am going to go back to one of the online sites and HOPE to get decent meds and not expired or fakes.
if ANYONE knows a great pharmacy that prescribes without perscription and does not charge $179 for 90 pills, PLEEEEZE PM me, I will be EVER GRATEFUL! thanks!
