Thread: Calorie counting Need some help!!!

    I am trying to find out how many calories are in different kinds of meat such as ground beef, pork loin roast, chicken, etc.... I am wanting to watch my carbs but I would also like to keep track of calories just so I know what my intake is. Anyone know where I can find this info online or have a book they can look it up for me. I would appreciate any help!!!!

    Have you tried www.fitday.com ? Usually I can find the calories I am eating there.

    hi mim i lost 55lbs.by watching calories it took me 3 months to loose 35 then summer hit but i stayed with counting calories and the other 20 came off by the end of summer. i went from size 13-14 to size 2-3.i always ate low carb but after i had a baby low carb was not working for me so i lowered everything cal,carbs and fat.and it did the trick the book i use gives cal.and carb totals. the name is calories and carbohydrates,by barbara kraus.this book became a very important helper while dieting i also wrote everthing down breaking it into its three total catorgories and at night when the great munchies came upon me sipping green tea kept my mouth and hands busy.good luck i hope i helped........ madeit

    Go to www.caloriecounters.com/chart1a.htm
    There is a free extensive list there. Also type {in Google search} Calories(example) Taco Bell and it will pull up calorie/carb list for their food items. Chalupa Baha 450 calories Chicken breast is 140 for 3 oz size.
    Sometimes you can get those head aches from not having sugar, caffine, etc. I'd call it withdrawals..You can eat yourself thin. But in the long haul you can't starve yourself thin and keep it off according to studies made by wanttobethin and TLgreen and others. Check out TLGreens comments on the My experience page under Calorie Counting Question.....
