    Question HOW CAN I TIGHTEN MY SKIN?

    Hello Everyone.

    I have lost 80 lbs. so far since Nov. 2008 and have some loose skin on my stomach and legs. Is there anything BESIDES exercise that I can do? My doctor said that no matter how much I exercise I will have that. I know there HAS TO BE other ways to tighten skin. Shots from the doctor, lotions, pills??? And obviously plastic surgery which is wayyyyy expensive. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! I AM IN DIRE NEED TO TIGHTEN.

    If you have any personal experience or tips that work, LET ME KNOW ASAP!

    check out this post from ethansmommy...she's lost 70 lbs and kept it off for almost 2 years and she tightened out without plastic surgery a few others on here have done the same thing....there was another poster KittyVentura that lost significant weight, has kept it off and tightened up without plastic surgery.

    too many to pm.. here it is.

    Phase I- 199.0 lbs- completed on (3/14/2010)

    Phase II- 179.0 lbs
    Phase III-164.0 lbs
    Phase IV (the home stretch)-150 lbs

    I lost about 90 pounds in one year, and used Nivea Skin Firming lotion throughout almost the entire year. I honestly don't know if the lotion helps a great deal; I like to keep my skin moisturized anyways, and it's a good lotion...spreads easily, not sticky, and smells nice IMO. I definitely wouldn't let what your doctor said discourage you from exercising to tighten loose skin. The reason I say I don't know if the lotion helped very much is because I also exercised often, which may have been the main reason I don't have a lot of loose skin. I do still have some on my tummy, inner thighs, and arms that I would love to see go. I also still have about 30 pounds to go in order to reach my goal weight, so I'm sure that will help a lot once that extra fat is gone.

    Alright thanks! Yeah I am going to keep exercising. What is your exercise regimen? Do you suggest just cardio until I reach my goal weight and then add in the weights?

    i went to see a plastic surgeon, lol and i can still hear his french accent in my head telling me that i can "exercise til i'm green" and it wouldn't do any good. i cried!! but then i decided that i was going to do what i could then if i needed it i'd know that i did everything that i possibly could without having jumping into the surgery. i do really like the palmers firming butter though.
