    Default Help! I'm Stuck

I started Phen in Jan and I've been stuck at the same weight for about a month now. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. It is very depressing considering I have 34 pounds to go. Please, any advice would help!! Thanks!!

    Goals:

    140 lbs - September 7, 2010

I hear ya! First thing's first. End your sugar intake. So take out soda, and limit on breads and rice.

Try to get a mini-stepper or a treadmill so you can work out at home more. Good luck with everything!

I am right there with you. I have been stuck since March 4th. No added sugar and no starches. I am doing sugar busters. I haven't a clue. I am hoping my body is just resetting itself and it will start figuring things out soon. I do my spinning bike and elliptical 4 days a week. Good luck!

I've read on here that you need to change your calorie intake, your body is used to the one thing, so it needs to change in order to continue losing. I also read, its good to do a "flush" on your system and get rid of all the NASTY that's in our bodies when we are at a set weight for a few weeks or so. They said to use Magnesium Citrate, guess you can get it at walmart and grocery stores and such. I have not tried this yet, but I am going to get some for when this happens to me.

You can use magnesium citrate if you want a bad case of diarrhea and dehydration. Do not use this as a flush. Your intestines will get irritated. Only use it as a prep for procedures. This is from a nurse.

liz...i'm glad you said that about magnesium citrate. there was a post from another poster on here that had to go to the hospital and her condition was aggravated by magnesium citrate.

I'll put it like this...because many of these cleansers aren't regulated by FDA, be careful unless one is suffering from extreme constipation where it is causing abdominal pains, discomfort or tearing when passing stool...Please, first, see your PCP (primary care provider) before taking any stool softener, laxative or detoxification program. The body does a decent job in cleansing itself, however one of the side effects of phen is constipation, which means we have to make sure we have adequate fiber in our diets and be properly hydrated.

Perhaps your body may be getting used to your routine...the exercising and your diet, it's just like with anything...once you become more proficient at it, you expend less energy in completing the task. see if you can experiment with some modifications in your caloric intake...maybe modify your food choices if you are eating the same thing everyday. some people have eased up on exercise and the scale moved...some people increased calories and the scale moved. You are already at/around 1,200 cal/day...unless your PCP recommends it, I will NEVER ever suggest you go below 1,200 cal/day.

Experiment with what works for you, i've experimented with my diet and exercise...some things worked, others didn't...sometimes i gained, sometimes i lost...i'd try it over the course of 2 weeks to make a fair assessment, however some people don't want to use that time doing something and it is a crap shoot regarding getting results.

If i didn't see any results, i'd recommend that you talk to a nutritionist or dietician.

..i know a lot of us on here are fearful of going against the doctor's orders or what they told you initially, but you know what....while the doctor has an MD behind his or her name. I live in my body and if I don't feel right or I know my valiant efforts are going for naught...we need to sit down and have a chin wag about how we're gonna get right.
