    Talking My 1st Weigh In

    I went to the doctor today for my first weigh in to learn that I'm 18lbs down in 1 month. Woo Hoo!!!! I have worked so hard for this. I wish it were possible to lose 18lbs every month but sure will try hard to lose at least half that per month. My doctor was VERY impressed!!! I was a little disappointed though to learn that they had run out of phen when I got there and the next shipment doesn't come in until monday How in the hell could they let that happen without notifying their patients? Oh well, I guess I'll go back Wednesday since it's my day off to go get it. I wouldn't care all that much but that place is SOOOOO far whether your on public transportation or in a car. Well just had to share the good new with you guys!!!!

    Just wanted say CONGRATS on your weight loss! 18lbs is great!! Keep up the good work! I was wondering how many calories you have been consuming & how much are you working out? I'm on my 3rd week, only lost 7lbs so far, haven't been eating much & I trying to get a workout routine established.

    Hi Momandwife, I don't really count calories because this never works for me but what I do is try to eat 6 meals a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner with healthy snacks in between. I drink TONS of water, eat only whole grain bread (which is not very often I'm not really a bread eater) I eat a small salad with each meal. I never leave home without my snacks for the day, fruit, carrots, rice cakes, fiber one bars, fruit & nut bar or 10 almonds. I also try to work out at least 5x's a week using one day with a personal trainer. I work out mostly at home to DVD's like walk off the pounds,Taebo or Pilates dependingt on how im feeling. Hope this helps!!!

    YAY!! 18 lbs is AMAZING!!! You are doing so well!! Keep up the hard work! I totally know what you mean about being armed before you leave home. I stuff all kinds of things in a one gallon zip lock bag and I know I look like some crazy person pulling out all sorts of fruits, veg and cereal bars from my purse but hey we have goals we have to meet! Wishing you much success!! =)




    02/03/10 - 224.8 (First weigh in at the doctor's)

    02/17/10 - 218.6 (2nd weigh in / Lost 6.2 lbs)

    03/04/10 - 211 (3rd weigh in / Lost 7.6 lbs)

    03/17/10 - 210 (4th weigh in / Lost 1 lb) I was on vacation!!!! So happy I didn't gain any weight!! =) YAY!

    03/31/10 - 208.6 (5th weigh in / Lost 1.4 lb)

    04/14/10 - 204.6 (6th Weigh in / Lost 4 lbs)

    04/28/10 - 202 (7th Weigh in / Lost 2.6 lbs)

    Yay that is awesome!! I too lost 19 lbs my first month and know it's gonna slow down too bad it wouldn't stay that way I would be at my goal in no time then!!

    That's awesome!! I just posted my update yesterday too and I'm down the same amount. I agree, I wish we could keep up this "18 lbs. a month" trend, but hopefully we'll still lose 9-12 lbs. per month.

    That stinks about your doctor running our of Phen!!! I would not be a happy camper. Will you be without Phen for a few days or do you have enough to get you through since you took 1/2 a cap in the beginning? Either way, I know I would be seriously annoyed especially because of the distance involved and the inconvenience.

    Speaking of, my doctor doesn't dispense Phen, he just prescribes it. He only gives a 1 mo. prescription and you have to go in each month to get a new script. I went in yesterday, not knowing what to expect, and it ended up being painless. Basically, they asked me a series of questions, like:

    Have I had insomnia?
    Have I lost weight?
    Do I have more energy?
    Have I had headaches?
    Any shortness of breath, heart palpitations?

    and then handed me the prescription. No weigh-in and no fee. They just said that's the way they have to do it because Phen is a controlled substance. They cannot prescribe for more than one month at a time and cannot call in or fax in a prescription. It has to be picked up in person.

    So onward and forward we go. Congrats again!!

    3/19/10 - 244.7 - Month 1 (-18.3 lbs.)
    4/19/10 - 238.4 - Month 2 (-24.6 lbs.)
    5/19/10 - 233.8 - Month 3 (-29.2 lbs.)
