I asked my doc the same question. He told me I could have wine or a mixed drink but do not to over do it(more for calorie counting than anything). I haven't had a drink yet but it is Saturday and I've had a day. A glass of wine sounds nice right about now!
He also told me to stay away from beer.
WHY NOT BEER? IS IT JUST B/C OF THE CALORIES, OR DOES IT NOT DO WELL WITH PHEN?
I have personaly stayed away from alcohol. I don't want to add the calories.
What about that 55 calorie beer. Can't be that bad, lol
Not to sound like a lush, but I have been drunk (from beer) while on phen. I rarely drink and I am a light drunk..so I don't know if mabye it just affects you faster or not..

it does effect you a little faster. I have had some drinks while I have been on my Phen. A little tip of advice is to drink at least a glass of water for every drink though. I didnt drink anywhere near enough last time, and I ended up gaining weight for the 2 days after because I was retaining water from being dehydrated. So I spent that whole week tryign to recover from one night out. Definitely wasnt worth it so I only have a drink or two now when I am out and I drink TONS of water.
I've read alcohol can increase the affects of Phen or is the Phen can increase the affects of alcohol? Geeze...now I cannot remember. (side effect of Phen I am sure). Either way, I have had a few glasses of wine with Phen and I think because I had not drank in sometime I felt the affects quicker and more...
I have not really wanted to drink (for sake of extra calories) plus it just doesn't taste like it use to....
I think I would avoid alcohol if you can but if your out with friends...just remind yourself that those calories will do more damage than you probably want and just don't beat yourself up after. Have a good time and just limit how often....![]()

I usually don't drink beer but I did Friday and noticed i felt bloated yesterday and today... My weigh in is tomorrow and the scale is up so I am a bit nervous that my dr won't keep me on Phen since i went from a 9 lbs loss to a 6 lbs loss. I wish I would have taken my measurements when i started because that scale is a dirty liar lol.
Anyway it sounds like we both got some good advice in this area.
Lost 65 on lowcarb before this, gained 9 back over the holidays

I must say that watching calories and drinking don't mesh well. However, there are times that are unavoidable.
Think about the calorie/food intake for the days in general. We are eating much less and are gonna be susceptible to being intoxicated faster than normal. Be careful.
