Question HAS ANYONE EXP AN AVERSION TO FOOD THEY NORMALLY LIKED?

HI, I AM THE BIGGEST SWEETS EATER OUT THERE. THAT WHY I AM WHERE I AM TODAY. AND I WORK AT A GREAT DR'S OFFICE THAT HAS THE SWEETEST PATIENTS THAT BRING US HOMEMADE GOODIES ALL THE TIME. ANOTHER REASON WHY I AM WHERE I AM TODAY. ANYWAY TODAY SOMEONE BROUGHT IN HOMEMADE PEANUT BUTTER BALLS DIPPED IN CHOC. SO I HAVE BEEN REALLY GOOD AND THOUGHT I WOULD JUST HAVE ONE. WELL I PUT IT IN MY MOUTH AND STARTED TO CHEW IT, AND IT DIDN'T TASTE RIGHT SO I SPIT IT OUT. EVERYONE ONE ELSE SEEMS TO THINK THEY ARE REALLY GOOD. HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIECED SOMETHING LIKE THIS, COULD IT BE THE PHEN?

I can't say I had an aversion, but I'm a huge carb lover, and the day I started taking Phen, my carb-tooth almost went away. Bread and potatoes and pasta were my favorite parts of a meal, and I just didn't want it much anymore. And not because I got full, but just I had no desire for it. (It's slowly crept back, but not with the strength I had before Phen.)

You know it's funny, pre phen I love love love pop! I am Pepsi obsessed. Shortly after starting Phen I can hardly drink pop anymore! I will have a can at lunch but the rest of the day I am craving water!!! It has definately cut down on my sweet tooth cravings! I bought some fudge cicles for those "have to have chocolate moments," and half the time I don't even finish it!

yep...i have a few food aversions now. I hope it stays that way actually because if I could spend the rest of my given days being at a healthy weight and BMI and not enjoy the things I used to, I'd be perfectly ok with that.

    - i can't stand the smell of fried chicken...the people at KFC last month weren't too pleased with me hurling on their floor. I know...TMI

    - i can't stomach the smell of someone cooking a hamburger on the stove...now if you grill it, i'll be fine...but on the stove it smells terrible to me.

    - i have an aversion to peanut butter...but i've grown to love dark chocolate.

    - i notice now...most juices are too sweet for me since I drink water primarily. I went to a restaurant and asked for cranberry juice and it was like I was drinking syrup...it was so terrible, I had them send it back and I just had water. For apple juice...I can drink Tropicana 100% apple juice or I have to drink Motts for Tots.

    - i also don't have a taste for alcohol since I started phen....plus I think about the calories in the mixers since I was a cosmo or martini fan.

    - i actually prefer brown rice to white rice.
    Goals...everybody's gotta have them

Every so often I have a gag day. The other day I was eating something I really loved, can't remember what it was, and I had to spit out what I had in my mouth because I started gagging. I figured it was time to stop eating I wish it happened with all my food.

Hamburger meat makes me wanna hurl thinking about it.

Oh definitely....I'm in the used-to-love-pasta boat, and now it hardly crosses my mind. Also, chocolatey and really sweet things do not agree with my stomach anymore. I treated myself to a slice of cheesecake for a special occasion and it was just overwhelming what all that sugar did to me! But agreed...the carbs just don't seem appealing anymore, which is definitely helpful!

The biggest thing I have noticed for me is drinking anything with flavor. I cant even drink iced tea or crystal light. I take one sip, and I want nothing to do with it...but I can drink half a bottle of water in one gulp. Also, I've noticed I have a thing for more proteins than carbs. I used to be the opposite. Now I am more than happy to have a piece of chicken/fish/steak with an egg or two for dinner. Although I am developing a serious salmon addiction. I have always liked it but I eat it at least twice a week, and its the only thing I order when I am out lol But I guess its all healthy issues

The only thing I really cannot stand right now is alcohol. I use to love a nice glass of red wine every now and again. Everytime I go to have a glass, even just as a treat....it tastes awful!! I guess this is one aversion I should be happy to post since alcohol can sabotage my weight loss and get me off track.

Ok, so i'm not the only one...i just don't have a desire for it anymore. wine or liquor...i just don't have a taste for it. Like you said, its pretty darned great...and i'd rather eat my calories than drink them anyway.

I'm a big carbaholic myself. Had my favorite homemade roll this morning and actually didn't enjoy it. Was REALLy surprised.

Actually my doctor told me that the phen was really designed to help curb eating sweets.

And he's right, I've never been a huge sweets eater, but on Phen I don't seek out carbs and my fav chocolate or cheesecake like i used to. Can turn it away and not feel bad. The only reason I gave in this morning, my friend brought over the bread before my Phen was taken since I slept in.
