Upset but not letting it hold me back :(

Well yesterday I thought I would take a chance and e-mail my new doctor(we switched to Kaiser after being with Cigna for years) about getting a script for Phentermine and I got back a not so friendly e-mail telling me no way and that Kaiser had OTHER options to help me lose weight

She also mentioned she hadn't meet me yet which was sort of strange knowing that I just went in to bring our 2 boys in for a check up and talked to her for about 30 mins about my husbands upcoming appointment on the phone.

I am not trying to get to upset there is a weight loss clinic here in Denver that has a program I can get Phen from and other stuff I was just hoping to use my primary doctor.

I bet she meant by actual appt and getting to know YOUR medical history. Make an appt with her, let her know at your appt you want to and have thougorly (sp) phen. Let her know you are going to go to a clinic to do it if she isn't but that you would rather be under her care since she is your pcp. (but not all threatening whiny sounding..haha)

I did put in the e-mail that I was planning on going with a weight loss clinic but I preferred to go with my pcp. I sort of ha a feeling that she wasn't going to give it to me but I figured I would ask. She also mentioned in her e-mail that she will not prescribe any diet pills what so ever.

I am just glad I have at least another option.
