    Thanks mrsace! I have to be honest though, I'm really starting to struggle with it now though. I guess it really is true what they say about those last 10 pounds. I think I still need to lose more like 12-15 or so but close enough. This week I have finally budged the scale again. I lost 0.2 and 1.25 inches. I also decided, just for the fun of it to measure around my widest section of my body (hips) and pull as tight as humanly possible lol. Just to see how small I can get to eventually lol. I measured that at 34inches! So in theory, i should be able to get down to at least 34 inches eventually lol. I know I still had fat in the way and might be able to get down a little bit further, but I doubt very much. I'm going to take a yucky belly picture today so I can monitor how much my belly is firming up over time. My belly now is slightly smaller I think than eathansmommy's before picture, so I am hoping that I will eventually have as firm of a belly as she does. I never have in my entire life. I honestly think that my belly is smaller now than it ever has been, not counting early childhood, but at least since I was like 12! As fustrated as I get with not losing every week etc, I am greatful for that.
    The best part of all of this is that I have met such wonderful supportive people who really know what I am going through. Thanks to all you ladies for being so supportive of me all this time. I promise, even when i finally get to my goal I will still be coming here to cheer you on all the time. Phen and my Phen friends really changed my life and I will never forget it.

    YAY Im excited about this thread! I took some pics last night of me when I was getting ready to go out. Ill try and get them up here soon.

    Im kinda irritated about none of my clothes fitting! I know its a good thing but when I want to get cute to go out I have to "modify" my clothes. It gets frustrating bc I have some really cute clothes and most are brand new! Like last night I actually had to pin my shirt. I was a long tube top that I wore once or twice and then I went to put it on last night and it kept falling so my bra showed I had to wear the straps on my bra so I had something to pin it too. And the white sweater I put on over it was super baggy too! OYE. LOL I didnt have time once I got home and was ready to find something to wear to go to my sisters and raid her closet so I had to make due. LOL I still felt cute tho so I guess its ok.

    LMAO Maria- I did the same freaking thing last week! I swear! I even had hubby help measure and pull it as tight as he could. Sometimes you and I are on the same wave length. HAHA I thought I was the only one who would do such a thing...

    I'm Laura! I'm doing pretty good. At a standstill at 249 right now. I'm hoping that I can start walking again soon so that I can get more weight off. I really have come to love this group of girls. Y'all are always there and you actually understand where I'm coming from!

    I completely agree with you Laura! Its hard to find a good group of girls esp that understands. Your doing good!

    I started at 258.8 the first week I lost 7! Then it seemed like forever to get out of the 240's once I was in the 30's it took a long time too. In fact I just got out of them officially on my 1/12/10 weigh in I was 228. Then on my 2/9 weigh in I was 216.8. Today I weighed at 214.9! So when it moves it moves but it can be slow at times...

    11/11-12/10 I lost 19.6lbs
    12/11-1/10 I lost 11 lbs
    1/11-2/10 I lost 12.4

    But it all adds up in the end! I never thought that as of 2/13 I could say Ive lost over 43lbs in 3 months!

    I didnt make my goal of losing 20lbs before seeing my brother on Vday, BUT I did come close 16.1 not too bad! Well I still have tomorrow morning before my deadline BUT I know I wont lose 4lbs over night. Im still happy with it tho. Now if I actually see him will be another story.

    I will never leave! Seriously if I did I would probably gain a lot of weight back!

    Ok so yesterday was the start of my V-day celebration. Were going to Pittsburgh today for some more fun but I am not going to be bad in the dood area like I was yesterday. I am going to list what I ate yesterday below. If the words will tempt you, don't read the next few lines I swear it's really bad.

    Breakfast as usual
    2 eggs = 140
    2 bacon = 80
    grapefruit = 100
    Total = 320

    Lunch @ Chili's
    Half an appetizer of loaded chicken nachos = 530
    2 mini tacos = 365
    half of the beans and rice that comes with the tacos = 135
    all but three bites of the paradise pie = 1290 (yea it was that bad I didn't realize or never would have ate it, that is the cal for the entire thing but I left 3 bites which was only about 1/8th of it) so I ate about 1128 Cals of it I guess! OMG!

    Total = 2159

    Dinner (as if I needed it)

    one chicken fajita = 300
    about 1 cup of mushrooms w cheese = 300
    Total = 600

    Snack in hotel room I am so ashamed now!
    7 chocolates = 525
    2 glasses of champagne = 300
    Total = 825

    OVER ALL TOTAL = 3904

    That is like three days of food in one! I have to tell you, I paid for it too. I was so sick to my stomach last night it was horrible! I'm not sure if my dinner or champagne calories are exact, I don't have a way to look them up but the rest are right and I'm sure the others are close if not a little high.

    I knew I was going to bad but I didn't realize until just now when I looked it all up that I was THAT BAD! I did drink water only all day except the champagne so I can be happy with that...haha yea right!

    Ok so I am going to be an angel all day today I swear!

    Today's breakfast was
    1/4 of a waffle w/strawberry sauce and berries = 200
    Banana = 100
    cereal w/skin milk = 165

    Total = 465
    Not off to a great start but it was all the hotel had to offer really. I will stay under 1500 for the day though!

    I have not eaten like that in over 1.5 years! I cannot believe I ate that much food. I was so sick last night that i know I wont eat like that ever again either. I am sick from shame now too blah! It makes me feel so yucky. I'm actually sorry too cause I feel like I let you all down too

    Well I gotta get ready to go..about time for checkout!

    Maria...you didn't let us down. I ate really bad this weekend too. I think that sometimes we need to do stuff like that to remind us of how bad it makes us feel. Don't look at it as falling off the wagon....look at it as reinforcing the ride! I'm back on the treadmill and the diet 100% tomorrow. I actually think that I gained a pound or so back but I'm not going to dwell on it....I'm just going to get it back off and keep going! *HUGS*

    Im always the optomist or try to be.... Maybe if you did gain anything when you get back and work out that plus some will come off!

    Dont stress about it Im not sure how many cals I ate yesterday but Im pretty sure it was over my "allotment" too.

    I had a yogurt for bfast- 70 cals I found these carb friendly flavored yogurts with serious only 4 carbs even with the fruit in them! I was soooo happy!!!!

    Lunch and dinner were at the inlaws. I had bunch of veggies with ranch dip made from the sour cream, 5 chips with cheese, I wouldve had more, Im not gonna lie, the only thing that saved me was the cheese was seriously like jelly! LOL One small scoop of potato salad, 4 little smokies in bbq sauce, strawberries with some of this dipping stuff, hamburger patty with cheese no bun, and a small slice of chocolate bundt cake.
    IDK how many cals are in that stuff bc I didnt see any of the packages but I tried to mostly snack on the veggies.

    So your not alone Maria!

    Idk why Im so freaking sleepy these last few days. When I wake up from 8 hours Im still tired!!

    Hello, ladies! This thread is a good idea!

    My name is Donna. I am 38, married, mother of 2- a cutie pie son who is 18 and a little girl who is 13 and full of life! I also have a smart, athletic 11 yr. old stepson who is with us most of the time. Makes for a busy life!

    Yesterday I was bad- just for dinner, tho- cuz the hubby took me out to Italian for Vday- where we had our first date so I couldn't say no, right? Anyway, the carbs are tough on my weight, so I am up a tad today, and of course I felt crappy about it last nite, as well as today, like you girls do!

    So, I guess today we just need to turn the page and start back on our exercise and nutrition plans as before and it'll come back off, right???

    Maria - Don't be too hard on yourself. I've watched how you handle yourself and 1 time is not going to completely break you. When you say your ashamed of yourself I know u have nothing to worry about. u've helped me soo much and i'm very appreciative of it. i've had a bad couple of day these past 2 but i'm trying real hard to stay on top of healthy eating. i did go out for supper last night but i was pretty proud that even though i wanted some of the appetizer he ordered i didn't eat any of it. but for some reason i've been so hungry and just feeling blah.

    I enjoy reading everyones post on here and the other threads because it's so inspirational and makes me know that i can do this to. thank you all. All of you have done wonderful so far and look fantastic..

    You are all so sweet but I fear you're really understimating the damage I did. I weighed myself this morning and the damage is really bad. I gained

    3.1 pounds

    I know a little of it is likely water retention, but not most of it! I know they say 3500 calories = a pound, but I swear that is not true for my body. If that were true I wouldn't have been able to gain 3 pounds. I ate that many calories on Saturday, but I couldn't have ate more than 1500-2000 calories yesterday and I was shopping for like 3-4 hours which should have burned SOME calories. For me to gain 3 pounds means I would have had to eat 10500 calories and not burn any! That's impossible WTF!

    I said I wasn't going to do this. I said I was going to enjoy myself and just burn if off later...Grrrr I hate that my weight controls my life I mean seriously it ****s! i'm so pissed right now. I know the worst thing I can do is not eat but I seriously have no appetite. All I want to do is workout all day. When I'm done here I am going to eat I swear and then work on some homework. After that I am going to exercise for at least 1 hour on the treadmill and then do the total gym for a while. After that, more homework...I have a lot!
    Then I have a meeting at 5:00PM tonight in Oil City. When I get home I will workout again. I will let you all know what my scale says tomorrow morning. I'm going to hope that it's down quite a bit and that I have lots of water retention today lol...Yea right.

    Thanks for being so understanding though. And Laura, you are right this slip has reinforced the ride!!! I will be kicking myself in the *** all week like never before!

    I did have a great Valentines day though and NOTHING can take that away. My hubby and I had an amazing time and I was relaxed the whole time. It was something I really needed so I guess it was worth 3 pounds to feel that good anyway.

    I'm proud of all of you though. It sounds like you all did really well this weekend.

    It is so bad that it is so easy to eat 3500 calories but to burn 3500 calories is so hard!! This is so unfair in life!! You have been doing a lot of working out and your muscles that you have made are burning calories too.

    Give it a week before you weigh in after vacation, you know that food is still in there, you walked while shopping so your muscles are holding water plus regular water retention.

    Hiya...I know its been a while since we've chatted. Way to go on the good work. Those 3.1 lbs will be gone and then some...but yeah just like you said those calories can get away from you if you allow it. You had what you wanted and you had a good time. I'm also learning that I can't punish myself if I go over my daily calories, but I know its not a habit, don't throw myself a pity party and not to let that one period of indulgence turn into a spiraling descent into food hell.

    However, for me...I haven't had cravings for all of the bad things...I might want the occasional piece of dark chocolate or heavy coconut milk based curries. I tried eating a enchilada from a mexican restaurant and I ate 1/4th of it and was ill mid-way through dinner and didn't want anything else. I guess that's a good thing.

    Let me know how the grad school decisions pan out...Chicago is not a bad city to live in, the cost of living is higher but there are a lot of things to do...it has a healthy mix of residential and commercial. Atlanta...well what can I say...its my home. I love the diversity of the state...you have the beaches, the mountains, the city, the country all in one state...not too many places you can get that.

    So far...my progress is slow but steady and I'm alright with that because my focus has shifted from getting my numbers down ASAP to creating a lifestyle I can maintain long after I stop taking the phen. I'm taking concern with paying attention to the behavior that got me up to 236 lbs and working on breaking those unhealthy attitudes towards food and myself.

    I didn't meet the one-der-land goal...but hey I lost 31 lbs in 3 months and that's damned good. I can't beat myself up about not meeting that goal I've come to the realization that the challenges actually stress me out more than motivate me...so i'm just going to be a cheerleader and step back from participating.

    I've been off the phen for about 2 weeks now...and I think I'm going to start back up today or tomorrow and see how my body reacts to it. I've lost 3 lbs in those two weeks which was cool and showed me that I can do it without the phen.

    Valentine's Day was just another day for me. My dad called to wish me a happy valentine's day. My "special friend" and I aren't on speaking terms and guess what....I'm alright with that. A few people have been eliminated from my life along with some unnecessary junk and clothes that are too large...I donated them. I went to the gym and swam 10 laps (500m), did my grocery shopping and rested. My swim coach got me this pac-man mug that I wanted as a surprise, so that was pretty cool.

    Phase I- 199.0 lbs- completed on (3/14/2010)

    Phase II- 179.0 lbs
    Phase III-164.0 lbs
    Phase IV (the home stretch)-150 lbs

    Hi everybody!

    I just wanted to stop by and say hello!! Everybody of course is doing amazing...yall give me such inspiration!! I have been doing this for 1 month and on Friday I hit my 20lb mark...I was soo excited. Well this weekend was my 2 days off on the mayo diet, and saturday I did ok. I ate normal food but just ate really lightly, got up Sunday Morn and was down another lb. But for whatever reason I decided on Sunday to eat some of the chocolates my kids gave me and then my husband took me out to a really nice mex restaurant for dinner and I had some chips and hot sauce, 1 glass of sangria, 1/2 of a cheese enchilada, one chicken fajita in a flour tortillia with beans and rice and 2 shrimp brochettes....UGH!!!!!! if that wasnt enough I had half a piece of Tres Leche cake too!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!!!!! sooo Ive done good the whole month, havent cheated even ONCE and in one day I eat like there is no tomorrow!!! I told myself this morning I wouldn't weigh until wed, but sure enough I walked by the scale and couldn't resist.....ugh!!! 3lbs!!! WTF???
    So my point was that Maria I completely understand where you are coming from, I feel so ruled by what I eat and my weight I couldnt even enjoy my nice dinner out that my hubby had planned...made me feel like crap both ways....guilty for eating...and guilty for not enjoying!!!!

    UGH!!!! oh well nobody ever said this journey was going to be smooth!! at least I have a place to come to where others understand!

    Ok wtf is going on here? Maria gained 3.1, Tosh gained 3 and guess what! I gained 2.9...!!!! I weighed in on saturday morning and took a pic of the scale to send to Taz bc it was the end of our Vday challenge. It was 214.9. I got on today and its 217.8! What the Hell is going on here??? I KNOW I didnt eat nearly enough to gain... Let alone 3lbs!

    I even walked/jogged a mile on saturday with the dogs. And did a lot of walking yesterday! Mu back has been super sore since Saturday night so Im hoping its holding water in the muscle I pulled back there.

    Well My butt is going to the track today and Im going to sweat my butt off! This is not good! I didnt even drink this weekend!!!

    Well, Misery loves company! I honestly would rather be alone in this misery but since circumstances say we are together at least we can understand how each of us feels right now We will all get it off and then some there is no doubt about it, but we all know how irritating it is anyway. Looking forward to seeing some weights tomorrow though I'm optomistic that they will be down.

    Shauntel, I have no clue what is going on either, last night when we were sitting in the restaurant and i was feeling so guilty for eating like crap, i look around and see all these little skinny girls eating whatever in the heck they want to and i tell my husband how in hell do these girls/women eat like this and still stay so small?? You can't tell me they all went home last night and worked out...lol!! I know, im being silly, and a tad jealous, everybody is different, but damn i would have never of thought that my meal would make me gain 3lbs. Like Marie was saying 3500 calories is a lb and i know i didnt eat 10500 calories!!!!! I know it will come back off but its frustrating to me, I get to a goal i have for myself only to blow it a couple of days later. ugh! oh well...On a different note, I drank some of the apple cider vinegar and honey today, it made me feel kinda weird and made me feel really flush feeling. Im gonna try it again tomorrow and see how it goes, if i could get past the smell it wouldnt be so bad. Well i guess ill get off of here, i need to go and get kiddos ready for school tomorrow, ill post my weight in the morning to see if anything changes. good luck to yall!! and good night!!!

    ahh at least were not alone on this. Maybe there is some weird cosmic shift that is making our scales read wrong! LOL I could hope...

    I just went and had a tough workout! I did a 20 mins on the Elliptical + 5 min warm up, jogged 2 miles in 22 mins, + 5 min cool down and did weights and crunches too.

    I was sweating like a mad-woman!

    My weight was down 1.5 this morning! I would have liked to see 2.5 at least but hey it's all right. I started my monthly cycle this morning too so AHHAAA, I should have known lol! I tend to lose more weight the week of my period so I'm hopefull! The gain and the cravings for sweet stuff are however explained a little and so I feel better. Now if I can get it all off by Saturday I will be stoked!

    Ok well I got up and weighed this morning and I was down 1.5 AND I started TOM this morning as well...how funny!! Hubby suggested maybe we were retaining water before TOM and that would acct for the 3lb?????

    That is so crazy!!! Yeah, water retention is what I was thinking at least part of the issue was. I also eat a ton the week before so that may have something to do with it all too. I am still hopefull that I will lose it all by saturday, especially since i tend to lose more weight during TOM.

    Sawntel, how did your weigh in go this morning? I hope you were down!

    Maria, your before and after picture is such an inspiration!!! I hope one day I can make as much progress as you, and a lot of others on this site, have! As someone who's struggled with her weight her whole life, I am very eager to find a solution.

    My signature picture will show you how I looked my senior year of high school (2006) and it also contains current pictures. In that 3 1/2 year time period I have gained 100 lbs!!! Thats like...an extra person! Its extremely depressing and I am tired of avoiding mirrors and dodging cameras. If anyone has any tips or suggestions I would love to hear them!!!

    Well i got up this morning and stepped on the scale and was down 2.5 lbs from yesterday, so that is good. Hopefully the scale will keep moving down this week and I can move into the 170's.....Im crossing my fingers!!!!

    Just stopping in to say hi! I wasnt on at all yesterday so it looks like I have some reading to do.

    Well I got a kick butt work out in on Monday. Then got on the scale yesterday morning and it was up again! WTH... 218.9? I was so mad! but trying to be optimistic I thought okay water weight and bc my muscles are repairing... So yesterday we only did cardio. Jog and power walk mix for 2 miles. Then ran the bleachers...

    Today I got on the scale and it said 215.9! So YAY! Only one more til Im back to last weekends weight!

    Tonight were gonna do some light cardio and strength at the gym then to the track for some more cardio.

    Hope every ones doing good today!

    Congrats on the 3 pounds back down Sahwntel, and the 2.5 for you Tosh!! I lost 1.5 the first day, then down 0.4 the second, but back up 0.4 today! I ate bad yesterday though so I wasn't surprised I think I'll be down again tomorrow though and I'm going to try like hell to get back to where I was on Saturday by Saturday. I'll be pissed if I end up with a gain this week! I only lost 0.2 last week! I have no gained inches though so at least that is good. I measured myself this morning just to see and they're the same. I only checked the id section though so who knows what the rest of my body is doing. I did do some shopping yesterday and I am officially wearing a women's size 10 and smalls in all dress shirts I tried on! I got some mediums too but they were from the petite's section so they're basically the same as the smalls. I was stoked about that, but I still wish the scale would move down too. I wouldn't care except that my BMI still says I'm overweight and I just hate that word!!! I have not been eating good though so maybe if I get back to that I'll see the pounds drop too. UGH I just really love the bad food. I am still exercising though. I do a lot of that I have to make up for the bad foods I eat!

    YAY I got on the scale this morning and Im back to what I was 214.9! It had to be water!

    Maria Im sure you will get back down... Tuesday I was 218.9 but today Im 214.9... There is no way I gained 4 pounds from eating and theres no way I lost 4lbs in 2 days unless it was water! So Im sure your the same...

    YAY for being in a 10! and smalls and petite mediums!!! Thats so good!

    I wouldnt take the BMI chart to serious... It doesnt account for any muscle you have that is over the "normal" amount... Especially since you've been using your total gym I know you have "extra" muscle that someone like my sister doesnt have...

    I just talked to my brother in law on Monday night about the BMI chart and it says hes overweight... The kid has a 17% bf... He has all kinds of muscle from playing football, tae kwan do, and lifting weights... Same thing with my brother... Mr. 3% bf is 5"10 168lbs and it says he's overweight... I know you would like it to say that your "normal" but I wouldnt take it too serious.

    Thanks Shwantel! I try to tell myself that but it doesn't seem to help. I have been overweight all my life...seriously ALL MY LIFE lol. other than when I was born I don't think I have ever been Normal weight range. The reason I know I should see that number is cause I know I still have lots of flabby fatty under my skin to lose. I still have not taken that picture yet lol. I think I'm avoiding it. Maybe tonight lol.

    So where has everyone been? It seems like were not having the Chit chat sessions we were having. Is everyone else super busy too? Well I hope to see everyone back soon. Shiela is coming over tonight so I have to get ready to work out! ttyl

    Hi sunny!! of course there is always room for more!!!

    Ive been a little busy this week but im off today and just enjoying being lazy, im getting my hair done at 230 so im excited about that. Well yesterday I got on the scale and was a little bummed because it was only down .5 fromthe day before and then today i got on and had lost 2 more so Im figuring that Im probably varying so much because of the water weight from TOM. I wish i could step away from the scale until monday but it wont happen...i walk by it in the mornings and cant resist.
    Marie i cant wait until i am in a 10 again, i miss those days and actually feel very comfortable and look good in a 10...im 5'5 so a 10 looks good, im sure an 8 would look better though!! lol...aaahhh im never satisfied..lol!! oh well, i guess i better hop off of here and figure out what im going to do for lunch, i havent taken my phen either yet today so i gotta go do that also and get my water in....have a great day phriends!!!!!!

    Tosh- whatcha gettin' done to your hair? Cut, color, new style? It's exciting to have that done. As a reward for losing 20 pounds I got some highlights put in mine about a week ago. Usually, I let myself have new workout clothes or shoes, but I really didn't need any, so I thought, 'Having my hair done professionally always makes me feel good. I think I'll do that.' And it felt so good! Changed my whole attitude, which has been kinda low lately due to the huge snows we've been getting. I am happy that (hopefully_) Spring is - soon- on the way where I live! We've had way too much snow for me here in southern WV!

    Anyway, enjoy your pampering day!
