Has anyone ever heard of using Topamax with Phen to lose weight? The doctor I have an appointment with prescribes these together for weight loss along with a B-12 shot.

I tried Topomax a long time ago and it made me behave like I had Alzheimers and didn't curb my hunger. I don't take it. The Dr said sometimes it affects people that way. I felt like a real dumb head

I recently went to a doctor and he prescribed me Phen and Topamax. I thought I was losing my mind! All I could figure it could be would be the Topamax because I had taken Phen before and it didn't make me feel like this! I couldn't stand it so after only 3days of taking it I stopped. I have lost 11lbs in my first week. I feel normal since stopping the Topamax.

Ugh lol my dr put me on topamax for migraines and omg it makes u feel like a freak who forgets what ur trying to say In the middle of talking lol that stuff is weird, I won't take it abd have like 12 refills lol it does make u lose weight tho my friend lost 100 pounds in a year from taking it alone! And she didn't even diet! But I don't care how much weight it would help me lose I would rather have my sanity instead of being thin lol taz

Lol I completely agree! I couldn't stand the feeling. I would try to answer the phone at work and couldn't remember what to say! It scared me. I don't know...I guess if you don't get weird side affects and it works thats great but otherwise it's not worth it! I want to lose weight and feel great! Not like feel crazy and forgetful! lol But, I am glad that I now know that it wasn't just me who had this feeling.
