    hello guys haven't been on in a while I've been working two jobs. I'm still doing my diet and very thankful my two days off are saturday and sunday. I don't think I could eat anymore salad lol. I had awesome weight loss but its tom in the next copule of days. My scale read 189.8 today!! I started at 200 lbs so it is definitly working but I am very worried about my two days off. I am hoping Iu can just splurge a little and keep my maintained but it is soo hard with Valentines!!

    Great Job Jen! I'm sure you'll be fine.

    Well, I got checked by the Doc today and she gave me the go ahead to walk on the treadmill again but it can't be anything too intense. Not much point if that's the case but I'll do what I can. No weight change this morning.

    I know how you feel semperfi but i guess anythings better then nothing!!

    So Happy Hearts Day Girls!! How did everyone do on their two days off?? Me I guess I did ok. I had a Snickers almond bar (opps) and 5 dallas wings at Winghouse and a handfull of onion rings! But what I did really bad was slip right back into my rountine of not eating at least three meals. What I said I ate was all I ate all day yesterday. Today at 4:41 pm I've had 1/2 glass of oj and a piece of bacon its really a problem for me and now I realize its worse then I thought. I went on the tread for 2 1/2 hours today burn 800 calories ( its my stress reliver with 7 children and working 60 hrs ) If anyone has an idea how I can break this difficult habit please toss it out there. Hope you all had a great weekend

    JenPuma- maybe try setting alarms (like people do for pills) and make sure you eat something, even a protein bar( I like the Detour bars) or a meal shake that is easy to have on hand. So then you can get some of the calories you need. I'm a natural snacker(sometimes I wish I wasnt lol) so I try and eat 6 times a day even before I started the Adipex. Hopefully you find something that works for you

    Hey everyone! Hope u had a happy valentine day mine was good I didn't have any choclate temptations around cause hubby knew better then to buy me candy I did enjoy my two days off didn't do to bad! I'm still on my horrible Tom so haven't been near the scale, I'm waiting for it to leave then will weigh in! I think I'm gonna b ok tho may have gained a couple pounds back from all the bloat n Tom symptoms but this is a new week and I'm back on track and planning on kicking butt this week! Glad everyone Eise is doing goood! Sorry I been MIA but the weekends r always so super busy for me! Soooooo hears to big loss this week for all of us))))) taz

    Don't worry about the cheat it was ur days off ahd u deserve to splurge! I kinda binged one of my nites off cause Tom got the best of me! Had a couple slices of pizza, apple with peanut butter, 2 peices sugar free candy, whole 16oz bowl of cool whip ( ugh not proud) didn't eat it at one sitting just in one day! Then had a cupcake lol ohhhh ahd a cookie! It was crazy it was like I wanted to eat the entire house out! I'm never like that so I no it was Tom plus I been really sick so my body may have been trying to tell me it needed a little more food then salad! And I no how u feel about wanting no more salad lol! I'm startinh to feel like a rabbit hehe! Girl it must b so hard having 7 kids! My sister has 8 and can never take time for herself much let alone eat! So I agree with the other lady who mentioned setting alarms or something! Cause u do need to eat! I hope when I weigh in Sunday I'm
    not to dissappointed! Have a gooood weeek and hope we lose lots more weight! I no u must b soooo happpy to see the 180"s!!! Goood jobtaz

    Thanks Taz your always there to give me some support Hope everyone had a great Valentines Day. I had to work but it was a good day.Since chocolates were completely out of the question my hubby surprised me with a couple pairs of new jeans LEI one was a size 12 and the other size 11. OMG the 12's fit but sadly the 11's were too tight ! I'm not complaining but my hubby was feeling soo bad he offered to return them but I told him no give me a couple of weeks to get into them. So now my new mission are those jeans starring at me giving me a smug look lol. Hope everyone has a beautiful Monday I'm gonna go but I'll pop back on later.

    I did have a pretty good weekend. We didn't do anything for Valentines Day but Hubby had the whole weekend off! That's a rare occurance so we enjoyed each other's company. I didn't weigh all weekend and I ate pretty bad but when I got on the scale this morning I was still 249! I'm just glad that I didn't gain anything! I did get back on the treadmill this morning and Only walked 20 minutes at a slower pace but at a higher incline. I stayed between 7 and 9 incline and even though I wasn't going as fast I could feel it in my tush! Here's to a new week and LOTS of weight gone for all of us!

    Ur welcome, I must say ur hubbby has awesome taste cause I loveeee LEI jeans,and I SOoooo remember when I bought my first size 11 I was freaking out! Gosh wish I would have kept all my lei jeans I would have sent them to u I was so sad when I had to get rid of them cause when I first got them I remember how good they looked on me, gave mE the perfect butt and everything haha I even wore them until they were falling off me and was still tryin to come up with ways to make them fit! Silly me! But yea u will b in those size 11 soon! That will for sure make u work hard) that's cool yr hubby didn't get u candy! My candy Is now other things like clothes, shoes lotion tshirts etc.... Way better then candy Ur gonna have to post some new pics sooon))) I really wish I could post some I'm thinking bout going up to town and taking my lap top to mcdonalds and loading some pics lol I have tons that I would love to show u all!!!!     Ahhh that is a big plus when u eat eat eat but don't gain any weight sounds like u had a relaxing weekend, I love just staying home n relaxing! That's cool ur hubby had off all weekend! I bet u felt really good getting back on that treadmill! I'm so looking forward to working out again to if this sickness goes away and also if my Tom hurry up and leaves! My body Is so run down right now so I am taking it easy until I'm better! I'm really hoping to see good numbers at the end of this week! I got on the scale this morning, but I didn't look I made hubby look n write down my weight that way I no how much weight I lose at end of this week! I just couldn't get the nerve to look right now cause I knew I had to b up from my Tom and my few cheats last week! Soooo anyhow.     Hey there, ok this is a tough one cause ur really not supposed to substitute any of the foods, do u not like egg beaters either? I'm not sure how it would effect the diet but I guess u could either try a protein shake or mayb just skip the eggs and add a couple more peices of the bacon? I'm not sure, mayb someone else will have better suggestions! I mean I would prob just stick straight to the plan but exchange the eggs for bacon and see how it works! It can't really hurt much and I'm sure u will still lose good if u follow the rest of the diet! Let me no what u decide and how it works for ya! This plan really truly works if u follow it lke it says! Goood luck to u! Taz

    I really wanna try this.. hmm nope dont like egg beaters.. nothing. I was severly allergic to eggs growin up.. i grew outta the allergy but never acquired a taste for eggs.. tried scrambled, omletes.. all yucky. maybe i'll try a couple xtra pcs of bacon or 1/2 protein shake. I'll let u know. Think its ok to start tomorrow or should i wait till Monday... I was trying to get past Fat Tuesday

    I have some questions for you ladies who are kicking all kinds of butt doing this.

    Are you really just eat salad at lunch and dinner?

    I was reading the list of what you can and can't have, and I wondered about squashes.

    I was thinking this because I made a sort of a noodle-free lasagna and I wondered how close it matched.

    Basically it was ground Italian sausage browned, celery, tomatoes (Ok a jar of tomato sauce, with all natural ingredients and no sugar, so basil, garlic etc) some organic tomato paste (one ingredient: organic tomatoes, used as a thickener) a little bit of green pepper, mushrooms, and I cut up some acorn squash in it. I poured it into a cake pan like it was lasagna and baked it, but you could cook it stove-top like a sauce. I just didn't put any noodles in it. it follows the idea of meat + veggies, I just cooked them all. I thought it was a nice break from the lettuce. I do admit to having cheese with mine, but you wouldn't have to.

    I was thinking of making some kind of vegetable soup, kind of like the one for the soup diet. It has potatoes in that recipe, but I'd skip that for this. Probably just cook broccoli, tomatoes, cabbage, celery, maybe some green pepper, and in this case we can do meat so, some kind of meat in it like a stew without being like a gravy.

    I'm just trying to find something that isn't the exact same thing over and over, because I get bored too quick to eat the same food everyday, and I won't last 12 days in a row. I'm doing a sort of modified version of this still (working into it) and doing ok with not cheating. I usually eat bacon in the evening as dinner instead of breakfast (and protein shake in the morning still) and it feels like I'm doing ok, but I haven't been on the scale. I really just need to cook some in advance so I can grab it on my way out the door in the morning (NOT a morning person at all) and then I can do it no problem.

    So yeah. Any feedback on what you are actually eating besides salad would be great, keep up the good work.

    Yes please let me no how this works out for u! I say start now lol the sooner u start the faster u can start losing weight! Im so anxious for my weigh in on Sunday trying to make myself wait since I just got over my Tom! So it will b exciting to see what I'm at now! Yea try the xtra bacon or the 1/2 protein shake I really hope u have good luck and lose well! I'm never hungry on this plan at all taz

    Heather, ur flood sounds sooooo yummy it's making me e
    want a big lasgna! I'm not a morning person at all either! That's why all my jobs have been nite jobs lol I just can't get up and moving In the mornings for nothing! So I reallly feel for u! Making food in advance is what I do all the time! Cause if not I find myself wanting to cheat all the time! I must say that YES I'm living on salad meat n grapefruit every single day lol! It's getting really old but I no it's working tho so I keep at it! I do however have my cool whip n sugar free syrup every now n then and it doesn't really hurts to much! I'm lke u I get bored real fast but Gosh when I find a plan that really works I stick with it no matter how much I hate it! I guess I just want to get to goal so bad lol! I'm feeling like a rabbit anymore eating all this lettuce! Thsts all I buy anymore at the store is heads of lettuce like 3-4 a week and salad dressings! And chicken of course cause I lose way more weight on chicken! But yea I say just keep doing what works for u, and u gotta get on that scale so u can see if ur losing good!     Ok ya'll today is day one and first day of lent.. so here i go.. instead of bacon i had 4 pcs of bacon and am about to eat my 1/2 grapefruit. Since i usually drink hot choc or a capp in the am i've switched to tea. So far so good. I'll have a salad for lunch and some tilapia and asparagus for dinner. I get bored easy so i gotta find cool veggie N meat combos. I tried atkins b4 my wedding and created all kinds of dishes.

    ?? can we have cheese??

    Hi Everyone! I am really excited I'm going away for the weekend !! It's my birthday and my mom is watching the kids for me!! I decided that I am going to stop this diet till Monday and restart. I will be really careful to watch how I eat and will try not to indulge too much.I'm really hoping it will not set me back to much. I haven't been able to weigh myself lately but see my dr tomorrow so I'm excited/nervous! I hope everyone else is doing great and have an awesome evening!!!

    Lent is a Catholic (not sure only Catholic) holiday where you give up something for 40 days. I am not really sure why though. I found this on a website

    On ash wednesday one year, there was a guy at the store who had the ash mark on his forehead..I didn't know what it was and I told him, hey, you have some dirt on your forehead (trying to be nice..i was just a little bit embarassed:P)

    Just wanted to see how the grapefruit (that is what we call it) is working... my mom did it and lost weight and my cousin's husband LOVES this and does really well with it... I have tried it but then stopped. I did the NutriSystem and lost but I continued to drink a glass of grapefruit juice with every meal. Now I am just watching what I eat and exercising. started the phentermine yesterday... did really well on it before, eating what I wanted and not exercising and ended up losing 13 pounds the first month, 5 the 2nd and stayed the same the third month (my doctor will only let me take it 3 months at a time also)

    I so want to do it right this time by watching what I eat and exercising while taking the pill...

    Thanks so much Taz you are always soo sweet!! I went to Drs today and my offical weigh in is 185 lbs! Woo-hoo I was soo excited Dr said I lost 21 lbs in a month!! I feel great. I can't wait to get to 170's haven't been there in years. Hope everyone is having great success!

    Ok ladies I have been reading everybodies post and I am sooo starting this thing tomorrow. I started taking Phen 2-1-2010 and have lost 11 pounds and I am super excited, but I have a long way to go and this sounds perfect. I've been working out everyday for an hour on the treadmill but I really need to start doing some strenght training! Anyway just saying hello and thank everybody so much for this great diet and all the support.

    Hey Taz.. yeah i'm Catholic. So for Lent (40 days ends with Easter Sunday) your suppose to give up something, sacrifice, or decide to do something for those 40 days. My Dh is giving up soda. my friend is fasting. a co worker plans on doing a prayer reading, another friend is doing some volunteer work. So it can be anything. My 8yr old said he wont harass his 2yr old brother for lent.

    Ok guys phen is really working. i know i havent been eating enough, and i dont usually get but one half of grapefruit in - in the morning bc i'm not hungry. when i do eat lunch usually a salad or today chix n veggies.. i dont usually get full off that.

    So i need to buy a scale bc mine at home is broken.. thought i just needed new batteries .. after 2 attempts its still not working.. n i'm so anxious to weigh myself. Guess i'll have to wait until nxt friday- payday.

    O.k...so I'm starting this Mayo clinic thing on Monday. I did something similar 7 years ago before my wedding and lost a ton of weight for the big day. I also had to work really hard to put any of it back on.

    One question: What can you eat on your two days off? Is anything allowed as long as you don't binge?

    How's everyone doing this wknd? I never thought it would be so hard on the wknd...I slipped up maj yesterday.. i didnt take my phen.. was good during the day.. went to a party and had a few to drink.. next thing i know i'm eating pancakes at 3am.. bad i know.. what happended? But i didnt beat myself up about it.. one meal one day.. keep moving.. i've been back on track all day and plan to stick with it. Ohhh this ****s!

    Hey everyone it's been a crazy weekend for me I had my sisters 8 kids so was very stressful! Anyways I finally weighed in today and I am down 8 pounds in 7 days!!! I'm back in my 150"s wooohooo! Hopefully I'm here to stay! I'm hoping this week will b a good week as well. I'm just really impressed with the results I have on this plan! It's hard sometimes cause I get so tired of salad and chicken but u gotta do things u don't want to sometimes to get the results u want I just keep telling myself when I'm to goal I can eat better and more foods! This has been a really long journey for me I stuck with it all last year and now almost 3 months into the new year but I no it's worth it! I'm so excited to still see people joining goood luck to u all I will b back tonight to reply to more post! Taz

    Awesome Taz Im soo excited for you!! Can't wait to be in 150's!! I had a pretty good weekend and really didn't splurge too bad. Had a small frappé and a sliver of cheesecake. I figured out that eating regular food was actually very hard for me I got full after a few bites and felt very sick. So I stuck to eating salads!! I went on the scale this morning still 185.4 so that was great!!! ( TOM is so hopefully it won't set me back. Hope everyone is still seeing results and having a great Monday!
