    So the grapefruit juice is disgusting...LOL. I bout gagged this morning. but hey i dont mind.I hope this is as magical as it seems. I love all the foods we can have except the grapefruit of course. I feel like Im being bad because I havent had bacon and eggs in forever.I am doing the regular bacon on days I take my Phen and saving my turkey bacon on my off days.

    Just getting up and starting my day its almost 9 am here. Hubby is making b-fast right now. My starting weight today is 221.4 and hubby is 280... He wears his weight very well compared to me but he's also 6'2 and Im only 5'4 LOL ... Good Luck today. I hope I can be down like you in the morning Taz.

    I had my breakfast 2 eggs and 2 slices of bacon and it was good, oh and the grapefruit juice wasnt so bad I think i can stick to this plan

    the only think that I am worry is if I will gain the weight back cuz on the website it said to follow a low carb diet afterwards and I dont do low carb so if I go back to my weight watchers system would I gain the weight back??? does anyone know?

    Just had bfast... The grapefruit... Uhh We juiced it and it wasnt that bad...

    Mary- I dont think you would gain weight. I think thats more meant for people like me who have to watch their carbs in the first place. The diet wont change how you metabolize things so if you can do carbs to start I dont see why you wouldnt be ok when your done.

    My starting weight for this diet is 232.2 this morning. I had my 2 slices of turkey bacon and 2 eggs scrambled with a cup of coffee and 1/2 cup of grapefruit juice. Man that stuff reminds me of like ear wax or something blecchhh. The first gulp isn't bad until the after taste hits but I got it all down.

    For lunch I put my grilled chicken on my salad and had light 3 cheese dressing. And more grapefruit juice. I took my Phen at 11:10 and shortly after 12 o'clock, I am flying down the halls at work like I'm on crack or something! LOL I usually don't have this much energy from Phen anymore maybe it's the grapefruit juice added that gives me the extra energy?? If so.. bring on the ear wax juice! lol

    Ok I started this morning with 2 sunny side eggs and two strips of turkey bacon and that was great but it was time for the grapefruit juice eww. It was great at first but thank goodness I chugged it because the after taste was horrible. Does anyone know how much I should be drinking? Also is anyone using the store bought kind. I bought the Simply Grapefruit it says 100% juice!
    Lunch was great I had a lean cut piece of steak and man was it good but I didn't know about condiments so I used a lil bit of ketchup mixed with a lil bit of A1.The magic juice is still a treat but if it works it's soo worth it!!!

    I think what I read was you can have any condiments as long as theyre sugar free.

    I plan on drinking or eating my grapefruit first so then I can get that taste outta my mouth.

    I read it was 4oz of juice. When we juiced ours this morning each half was a little over 4 oz. So I guess thats where they get the number from. I couldnt stand the thought of eating it first thing so thats why we juiced them.

    I feel like I am eating more calories then before, It just seems to much is anyone still fallowing their daily calories? and are you trying to stay below them? I follow the points system from WW and I already eat more then half but on the website says that we need to eat and fell full so I guess I am just confused I feel like I am going to gain not lose. any thoughts?

    Well girls day one is down all except my bedtime snack. I went to the drs for my weigh in and my starting weight is 207. I hope this really works!

    Thank you Taz I love tea with honey and lemon and it really helps to soothe the throat. I just wish I had a continuous iv drip of warm tea going down my throat - lol! Great job on the loss after the 1st day!!! That is awesome I have a book on the top fat burning foods and grapefruit is one of them at the top! That is part of the reason why I love it so much and eat it daily.

    Looks like everyone is doing great so far today! Mary I wouldn't worry about the calories trust me I feel so stuffed as ever and am eating way more calories then my normal and I was down 1.4 today and I been stuck so this was exciting! The plan says the more u eat of these foods the more u lose! I was talking to a old school teacher of mine today and told her about this plan she right away said ohhh this plan really works she said she lost over 50 pounds on it! Sooo I'm staying positive and hoping to lose big!!!! Anyways I did good today trying to get my last grapefruit down! I get kinda tired of eating those I may switch back n forth from juice and grapefruits! That will give me a break can't wait to see if u all lose tommoriw! I no the plan says u won'tose the first four days but hey I did so I'm sure u will to)) let me no tommorow how u all doo!!! Goood luck!!!

    According to my app. My bfast had 263 cals. Lunch had 172 cals. I used blue cheese dressing 70 cals for 2 Tablespoons is included in lunch cals. I didnt use that much tho. I havent had dinner yet but the cals are about 338 depending on how much broccoli I have. Plus milk for night snack for a Total of 881 cals today.

    My carbs are about 10g over my usual but thats mostly bc of the grapefruit.

    Hey Everyone! I have eaten all my meals today except for my bedtime snack. I can't stand tomato juice or milk so I'm just going to eat a tomato! My starting weight this morning is 255 (That was down one more lb from yesterday. That's a total of 5 lbs lost since I started Phen last Friday!) I also felt like I was eating alot today. I ended up eating kielbasa as my meat today since I had it in the fridge and I didn't want it to go to waste. Tomorrow will be better. So here's what I had today.

    Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs
    2 slices of turkey bacon
    4 oz Simply grapefruit juice

    Lunch: Kielbasa
    Salad of iceberg lettuce, carrots, red cabbage, and Spinich
    with Italian dressing.
    Half a grapefruit

    Supper: Kielbasa
    Broccoli and Cauliflower
    4 ozs grapefruit juice.

    And then tonight for snack I'll have my tomato. I'm going to switch out grapefruit and juice so that I have a bit of a change and I'm also going to alternate between Turkey bacon and regular bacon.

    I found out last night that my Father in law followed this diet before his hip replacement surgery and he lost over 40 lbs on it! I hope that it works that well for us! I'm also walking on the treadmill every morning this week until I can go back to the gym next week. I'm hoping that'll burn the fat a little quicker. Good Luck on day 2 Ladies!

    Scsem, good Job on today !!I have a silly question, what is that stuff u ate for lunch and dinner? I have never heard of that before! Soo yea ur father n law was on this plan and did well huh? Alot of doctors use this plan to help people lose weight fast! I no my dr uses it alot! My friend told me today she lost over 50 pounds on it and kept it off! I no I will b able to keep it off, it's just a life style change like anything else! I'm never letting my self get outta control
    again! It's great being able to wear cute normal sizes again! Well I'm stuffed so gonna go to bed looking forward to weigh in tommoriw I may not b down as much since I didn't drink all my water today but I got one liter down at least! Nite!! Taz

    I didn't read about this thread until after I had grocery ******d for the week and bought my "meal replacement" bars and yogurts and such So I'm gonna have to start in on this a week behind the rest of you.

    The updates have been fantastic, thank you all so much for sharing. Please do continue to let us know how it's going.

    I *do* have a question. On the diet I'm following now, I'm eating 5 small meals a day rather than 3 meals. Would I be able to break this down into the 5 small meals, as that's something that seems to be agreeing with me, or should I go back to 3 meals?

    lol, I can't wrap my brain around a glass of milk as a snack!

    Good morning everyone! Well this morning I was down .5 I no the reason why it's not much is cause I didn't get to weigh at same time I normally do, plus I didn't get all my water in yesterday and the dreaded Tom is supposed to b here tommoriw and i'm feeling sooo bloated n fat!!! But I am down 1.9 in 2 days sooo I'm happpy cause they said u won't lose anything the first 4 days so I'm happy cause a loss is a loss!!! Anyways it's gonna b a really crazy day for me, I gotta clean a reallly unorganized house, fix some water leaks and sitting in shop right now trying to figure out what is wrong with my car sooo I'm stressed to the max today! Hope everyone else is doing well, can't wait to hear how ur first day went!!! Taz

    Yay for the loss I'm down 1.9 in 2 days so I'm happy with that! I'm sticking with this and gonna see what happens! So far so goood especially since my Tom is due tommorow! I'm just hoping it don't come and mess things all up like always! Do u cook ur turkey bacon n eggs togather!? I do and it's sooo yummmy! I cut up the bacon and cook it first then put my two eggs in and mix it all togather in the pan! It's like a omlet! Just missing the cheese hehe! Taz


    Darsa, u have to pretty much follow this plan to a t! Ur not allowed to eat in between ur meals so I don't think eating 5 meals would work for this plan! But trus me u won't get hungry eating these 3 meals it's plenty and u can have tomato juice or milk for snack!!! Taz

    Hey ladies!

    Well I'm joining this challenge Taz..I was going to do that protein shake diet and I started yesterday but by dinner I just didn't want another shake..so I know I won't be able to do that for 4 weeks! Well the thought was good!! haha..

    So I started this today. I had 2 eggs over easy and 2 slices of bacon. I had a small orange instead of grapefruit b/c I didn't have any grapefruits in the house and I decided late last nite that I was going to follow this diet. So I will eat oranges today. Plus I've tried grapefruit in the past and it's soo bitter to me.

    So I think I will eat the oranges for this first week and when I weigh in next Tuesday I'll see if the oranges effect my weight in a negative way...if they do I will go and get the grapefruit juice. If I see a pretty good loss I think I will just eat the oranges. Plus I want to enjoy what I eat and I know myself, If I have to eat things I don't really like I won't stick with it.

    Even if the weight comes off slower for me b/c of eating them that's ok. I only want to lose 27 more lbs not 50 so I think for me it will be ok to do this!!

    I just looked up the numbers for 1/2 grapefruit and a small orange and the numbers are pretty similar so I'm def sticking with the oranges this week!

    53 cals

    13.4 carbs
    1.8 fiber

    Yayy eeb I'm happy ur joining this challange! Trust me it's so easy to follow and it does work! B sure and let me no how the oranges work, I no the grapefruit is what starts the burning process so I'm not sure the diet will work well without the grapefruit! But u can see how it goesYea I didn't think I could stick to the protein shakes either that just wouldn't work well for me! With this plan I can eat good even if I want to go out to eat! I'm down 1.9 on second day so that's goood news for me!! Good luck and let me no how u do after ur first day taz

    Okay I have yet to start this but I lovvvve grapefruit juice (I know, weirdo!) especially the pink grapefruit juice. Is the pink kind okay as long as it is 100% gf juice?!

    I am going to start this tommorow I already had my eggs n chicken breakfast this morning haha I keep thinking if I could lose 10lbs in two weeks...that would be so freaking cool. I mean, seriously, 10lbs. 207/206 maybe 205 ish. I'd be smaller than I was Freshman year of HS. Crazyyyyy. I really am going to give it a try.

    I saw it said sugar free dressing.....where the heck do I get that? I mean, dressing is fairly low sugar to begin with isn't it (unless it's like honey mustard or french or something?) I'll prolly use low-fat kraft blue cheese or ranch or something.

    I'm not sure how I will go without my sugar free gum tho! I'm printing out that list right now lol

    Ok so I have been following this thread and decided to try this out. I started this morning, the eggs and bacon were great...grapefuit...not so much!! after I mutilated it trying to eat it!!!! But I did put some Stevia on it and it wasn't bad. My coworker showed me how to cut it so at lunch time it was easier. I also ate a spring mix salad and put some can lemon pepper chicken on top...I have to admit I am stuffed!!! hope this works!!!!!! cant wait to see everybodys progress!

    Xblack that's cool ur gonna do this with us u can have any dressing u wAnt it don't have to b sugar free! My plan from dr says any dressing! The gum I don't think it will hurt anything at all long as it's sugar free I been using light ranch dressing I'm down 1.9 in 2 days would b more I'm sure but Tom is due tommorow! I love this plan and am for sure sticking with it!Plus we can eat very well on this plan and it's pretty much a low carb plan that I follow anyways goood luck on weigh in tommorow! Oh and ur supposed to have eggs and turkey bacon or reg bacon for breakfsst' not chicken lol mayb that was s typo hehe!!! Taz

    ICK! Still have the grapefruit taste in my mouth. Ive been drinking the jucie from half of it with what ever pulp [usually a lot] comes with it before my meal with the hopes that the taste would go away. It worked yesterday but not this morning. LOL So hubby and I hopped on the scale this morning just to see. I knew when I got on there TOM will be here any day Im feeling that bloated crampy-ness I get. Im down .5 and hubby is down 1.8lb. Not bad. Cant wait to see what day 5 brings!

    Welcome tosh!! I hear u about the grapefruit r u eating the pink grapefruits? They r better then the white ones lol! Still bitter tho! I'm down 1.9 today it's my second day so it's working well so far! Plus Tom is due tommorow so that's even a bigger plus I'm losing still haha! Hope u have a good weigh in tommorow morning! The plan says u won't lose until
    day 5 but there's a couple of us I no of so far who is losing already!!! Enjoy ur dinner tonight! I'm soooo stuffed to I actually skipped my grapefruit for lunch hope it won't effect my weigh in but I was just to full to eat it lol!!! Hoping for awesome results again tommorow!!! Goood luck! Taz

    Wowow yayyy for u and hubby omg he was down 1.8 today! That's freaking awesome! I'm sure he was happy! I'm down 1.9 in two days but like u was only down .5 today cause Tom is due tommoriw! I love this plan and hoping by the time I'm done with it I will b to goal! That will b freaking awesome! Good luck tommorow and mayb just carry some mouth wash with u and rinse after u eat? That will get rid of the icky taste!!! Taz

    That is really awesome for him. It will keep him motivated which will in return keep me motivated. He was so proud when he walked outta the bathroom after weighing himself.

    Im sure you will be at goal in no time!

    Im thinking its bc the taste of that grapefruit was a lot more tart then yesterday. Its gone now so Im ok.

    By the time Im done with this Id just like to have lost 20lbs. Anymore would just be a bonus.

    I really hate eating b-fast in the morning BTW. Ive never been a morning eater. Ever! Usually a cup of coffee and Im good till Lunch. I know thats bad I just never have an appetite when I get up and I usually dont eat late at night so idk why Im never really hungry til lunch.

    Well Im gonna go get my groove on and dance for a while.

    Ahh I'm sure ur hubby is gonna do great on this plan I'm following him and mayb I can convince my hubby to try it! It's good ur eating breakfast cause it's the most important meal of the day I'm not real big into breakfsst' but I always have more energy when I do eat! I'm really hoping to b down tommorow! R u guys staying on this for 2 1/2 months? I am, I want to see just how much I can lose in that time! Well if I lose over 30 I won't b able to keep losing lol I may fly away in the wind haha don't wanna b that small! Ugh I am really tired today no energy I just want to go to bed and sleep 20 hours lol been cleaning house all day and gotta run around tommoriw to get my car fixed!     Hi Girls,
    My name is Laurie,49,and have 25-30pds to get off by summer...
    I also started the diet today,For Breakfast, I had 4pcs.Bacon,and 2 hard boiled eggs.
    Lunch: Big Iceberg Lettuce salad with baby leaf spinach,purple onion,tomato,and cucumber w/Blue Cheese Dressing.
    Dinner: Leftover Cube Steak,corn,and salad.
    I only got my first glass of grapefuit juice at dinner time...will have all 3 tomorrow...it really wasn't that bad! Having tomto juice now for snack.

    Hi, and welcome!!! I am happy ur day went well but I just wanted to point out a couple things with ur meals, ur only allowed 2 slices if bacon and u had 4. Also u had corn for dinner and corn isn't allowed on this plan! Not sure if u may have seen another food list someplace but thought I should bring that to ur attention just in case u don't lose anything tommorow! I just want u to get the best results so wanted to let u no these aren't allowed! Not trying to b rude or anything hope u won't take it that way Goood luck and I'm happy u joined us, and it's very possible for I to lose that 30 pounds if u follow the diet to a t!!! Taz
