    Ooo I am excited to bust this out again. I tried this awhile ago but quit after a day (I was in middle school - definitely not as serious). I am really gonna give this a go.

    Can you really use ANY dressing?! Like, full fat or light blue cheese dressing? How much and which would be better?!

    Oh and another thing, can you like cut up meat and put it into your salad? I love those precooked seasoned chicken chunks. No cheese tho This makes me a bit sad, but I can do it! I usually eat iceberg lettuce (for some reason I swear I'm the only person who loves ice berg) but Ima try and eat more nutrient dense greens.

    Would it be okay at dinner to not eat another salad if you have a bunch of veggies?! Can you season your meat with say, garlic, etc?! I don't think I saw garlic on the no go list. I do need a red onion - I LOVE onions omg. Love them. lol

    That would be really cool to see a drop of 5lbs on the 5th day O.O So Taz, you have actually known people that lost weight with this? I'm totally going to try it at least for a week and see what happens. If I lose 5lbs....whoa. That will put me at 210 before v-day pretty much - I would b soooo excited!

    I just found this site that gives you more on the "don't eat" list. Figured I'd share it with you girls. Also I don't drink milk and I can't STAND tomato juice but I could eat plain tomatoes all day long. Do you think that I could eat a tomato at night instead of the juice?

    Ohhh thanx I'm gonna go check out this site u found! I don't think it Would mess up anything having a tomato instead of the juice, I mean it's pretty much the same thing u no,? Thank u so much for sharing this site!!!

    Xblack I lovee iceberglettuce to lol! So ur not alone! Broke said baby spinach is really good in ur salad so I'm gonna try it to! Yea on my print out the dr gave me it says u can use any dressing! I'm gonna stick with my lite tho just cause it's what I'm used to! And yea u can cut up ur meat in ur salad! Just b sure to eat until yr full! The more u eat of these foods the more u lose crazy huh lol! That would b sooo cool if u were 210 by valentines day! U would for sure be doing the happy dance! I'm gonna go check out the site posted above to see the not allowed foods ! And yes I do no people who have reallly had good luck on this plan! It does really work if u stick to it like it says!!! Taz

    Yep me too! I havent found a good dressing that I like enough to eat all the time so I guess Ill experiment a little. I usually just use Italian.

    I figured out roughly how I will prepare the meals and what the calorie range is and its just about 1000 so that will be great.

    Im not sure if I like grapefruit. Ive never really tried. LOL But if I cant eat it I will def. juice it and drink it.

    Betty- I LOVE iceburg too! I cant stand spinach, unless its in spinach artichoke dip with lots of cheese... Havent had that in a long time.

    I will for sure post on the fifth day. Ill even let you know about hubby too. It will be fun to see if it affects men and women differently.

    Mscas yesss post about ur hubby it will b nice to see how men do on it cause we all no they seem to lose more weight then us!!! That's so cool he's going to do it with u! U gotta post ur meal plan girl cause I never count calories but I think 1000 cal a day would b enough for me! I'm just always on the run and never figure out how much i eat in a day! I love the site the lady above posted u gotta check it out it is interesting and has a list of what not to eat!!! About the dressing I love the raspberry vinageretta spritz it's so good and only has 2 carbs, 10-20 cal and low sodium! That's what I use or I like lite ranch dressing too!! Taz

    Holy moly wouldn't that b totally awesome! Let's just stick to this plan and getto goal girl! Were gonna do this! I'm going shopping tonight to get my bacon and some meats! And veggies!! I'm not even going to start sipping on diet soda even tho it's allowed cause I have learned. That even tho it's diet it puts weight on u! And it makes me just crave other bad things!     Yeah forsure I will post about him too. Im so happy he's doing it with me. Just by eating what I have been for dinners hes lost 15lbs since november and hasnt really "worked out"

    Its just a general plan to figure out what kind of cals I will be eating bc I dont want to go wayyy over or wayyy under.

    1/2 pink grapefruit has 38 cals and 9 carbs...
    2 eggs cooked has about 180
    2 slices of bacon "fried" has 85
    Chicken Breast depending on how it is cooked has 80
    beef has about 200-300 cals depending on what type it is and how lean
    Broccoli with butter 144

    I plan on doing the bfast as they say. Lunch I will have the grapefruit and a salad with chicken or turkey on it. Or some tuna... Maybe smoked salmon...

    Dinner is always my place to get "creative" so Im thinking I liked the sound of the Dijon chicken and mushrooms. On the list of allowed veggie from that link mushrooms are there. They say you can use any condiments that are sugar free too. I dont think Dijon has sugar but ill check first. I think Ill put some Dijon on the chicken breast and bake it. I wrap the chicken individually in foil. Not sure if Im going to put the mushrooms on it or saute them and put them on after...

    Maybe steak with mushrooms and red onions sauteed on top. With roasted veggie mix. We put broccoli, carrots, bell peppers, red onion in a pan with some EVOO and pepper and garlic and cover with foil for like 20 mins in the oven uncover for the last 5. Make sure all the veggies are cut the same size. I dont use salt when I cook either. Small salad.

    Salsa chicken- homemade salsa with purple onion instead of white... Put it on the chicken breast wrap in foil and bake or put on the BBQ til its done.

    Chicken Breast butterflied and put asparagus in it, I usually do it with cheese too but not gonna for this. Can also use a thick pork chop. Bake at 350 til done.

    Pot roast with all the allowed veggies...

    I can get creative with dinner but its always Lunch I have a problem with. LOL

    Hope that gave you some ideas...

    Ill keep track of everything this week and Ill let you know more details about what contained what and all that.

    my hubby also does really good grilled zucchini, egg plant or squash. He cuts it up in like 1/4 inch pieces length wise and puts a little EVOO on it with some pepper and garlic powder grills it till its tender. I hate all of them but I like it that way. He usually puts Parmesan cheese on them but since we cant have cheese... Its still pretty good.

    Thursday night were having steak and shrimp... The only reason I know that forsure is bc his mom just asked if I would come over and show her how to cook the shrimp. She has never done it before. LOL

    Taz - I am gonna go food shopping tommorow lol I think I may look for some microwave turkey bacon too! I love the micro bacon haha I also LOVE chiken. I am going to buy some that I can microwave. I am all about the quickness! I am soooo not a cook!

    Hi count me in I would love to take this weight off quickly. Its been a slow process but well worth it!!! I like everything except the grapefruits but I will just do the juice thing slam it down and breath lol!

    Mscas , my gosh I'm coming to live with u lol! U sound like a great cook all this fancy food ur talking about mmm! Ur hubby is very lucky he's got a wife who can cook goood! Ur meals sound so good I'm looking forward to following ur meal plans! Congrats to ur hubby 15 pounds is awesome to lose without even trying!

    Xblack, I just get the regular turkey bacon but I have this microwave dish just for bacon and it gets the bacon done fast! It's cheaper then buying the microwave bacon! I have never tried the microwave chicken but I have a george Forman grill and I use it for all my food it cooks really fast and gets all the fat out too! It would b perfect for u since ur always speeding around haha!

    LOL Thanks! You can come stay with me anytime! He always says the deal maker in marrying me was that I can cook. LOL Or if one of his friends compliments my cooking he will rub his belly and say I didnt gain this weight bc she starves me. LOL

    My favorite food to cook and eat is Italian. Mostly bc my gpa is 100% Italian and is an AMAZING cook. He even makes homemade noodles. I havent had any pasta in almost 3 months! That was the biggest change for me. We use to have some type of pasta 2xs a week.

    I will be taking notes on my meals for the week so I can pass them along to you.

    Okay girls...Im in!! I feel so bad because I ate the most awful things yesterday. My first official weigh in is supposed to be tomorrow but its my TOM I hurt my back at work and am on a muscle relaxer and lortab. I dont want to take my Phen while taking those so I haven't taken it since Friday

    But...enough complainin! I am definately down to lose 52 lbs in 2 months! That would put me almost at goal weight! I too hate grapefruit but I will drink it by the gallon if I can lose that much that fast!

    Are we gonna post our weights weekly?

    Hey tara, yayy for joining!! U can post ur weights weekly if u want to they say u won't lose any the first 4 days so we can wait until the first week if u want too! It's up to u all I'm trying to have my Tom also so it's messing with my weight too' sorry about hurting ur back that's no fun! U will get used to the grapefruit juice hehe at least u no it's burning fat outta ur body) taz

    Wow we have 14 people starting this challange tommorow and 2 others who MaY start in a few days this is awesome! The more the better!!! Soooo r u guys getting all ur foods and preparing what u will eat this week?! Im planning on eating lots of salads I love them and will not get tired of that dailey! I doooo have to confess a little secret hope u don't get to mad at me but ummm I got a little anxious and started my plan today! I had 2 scrambled eggs with my turkey bacon chopped up in it! And ate 1/2 grapefruit! I had all the food and thought well why not try it today that way i can tell u all one day in advance if I'm down on my 5 th day I just been stuck lately and was just not wanting to mess up another day cause I no myself to well if I'm not on a strict diet I just binge to much! Soooo I will let u no how today goes for me, I'm not on phen and I will let u no how hungry I get in between meals, or mayb I won't b hungry at all!!! Taz

    That's awesome girl! Maybe you can let us know tonight how you are feeling after the first day. I went out and got my groceries last night I'm going to have a MAJOR grilling session tonight so that I don't have to do much actual cooling throughout the week.

    I made Buffalo boneless skinless chicken breast last night. Just cut up the breasts into strips season how you would like, I used pepper garlic and dry ranch seasoning, bake them covered for 20 mins then toss them in your fav buffalo wing sauce and put them back in for about 10 mins uncovered to bake on that yummy sauce. I used Tony Romas buffalo sauce and it was really good. Not as good as my moms tho. LOL I LOVE buffalo wings but they are sooo fatty any other way. Most sauces are really low carb and cals.

    Going today to get my food. I looked last night at our grocery store and grapefruits are $1 each and didnt look that good so Im gonna go to our veggie store to see if they are less and look better.

    Mscas, mmmm I'm gonna write that recipe down those sound sooo goood! Wow grapefruits 1$ each that's crazy! I got a big bag at walmart last nite with like 6-8 big ones for 3.50 at walmart! Check walmart out for them! Cause we eat 1 1/2 a day that could b a little expensive for 2 months! Sooo I have a question for u, am I understanding this right? Do we do 12 days on 2 days off? I got confused when I read the other site idk just wanted to ask! Thanxxx! Taz

    Scse, yes so far I'm feeling so stuffed and have ate one grapefruit so far! My salad was yummy and I'm just feeling lke I'm cheating or something cause i'm having so much to eat and having this lite ranch dressing!!! Tonight I will have baked chicken breasts, broccoli, small salad and of course my lovely grapefruit and mayb a glass of ice tea with stevia in it! So far so good and I'm not hungry and not craving sweets so far! Maybe cause I'm sooo full ur smart doing all the grilling now cause I hate having to cook up so much when I'm hungry at the time cause then it will tempt me to nibble on other junk lol! I'm cooking my chicken breasts up in advance to! I'm going to try to stay away from red meat and just have chicken n fish and turkey! Got me some Italian seasoned ground turkey last nite I have never tried it and not sure what to fix with it but I will figure something out lol! I think tonight I will have skim milk fir snack since I haven't had milk in so long! U no, I no they say u won't lose for 4 days but I just don't believe that cause I just no I'm gonna weigh less I'm the morning! I'm already feeling lighter just cause I no I'm eating healthy now haha! Crazy huh! I will let u no in the morning! I only need to lose 20-25 pounds so mayb I can do that in a month that would b awesome!!! Taz

    Ok so end of first day is almost here!!! Hears how my day went

    Breakfast::scrambled eggs cooked in butter, with 2 slices turkey bacon cut up in them! 1/2 grapefruit! ( pretty fulfilling breakfast)

    lunch::::iceberg lettuce salad with grilled chicken and lite ranch dressing, 1/2 grapefruit! ( I was stuffed)

    dinner::::1 chicken breast grilled on my Forman grill, steamed broccoli, small iceberg lettuce salad with raspberry vinageratta dressing, 1/2 grapefruit!!! ( I did not eat until I'm stuffed but until I was comfortable) hopefuuly I won't get hungry before bed

    Pm snack with be a cup of skim milk!!

    So the first day went pretty well, I haven't really been hungry so to say but it's time for Tom to show up so I been wanting sweets today but haven't gave in! I think I can do this plan for two months but it is harder then what I thought lol I kinda get tired of my same routine of grapefruit but I'm soooo gonna stick with this! I think I will b down something tommorow I just can't see me not being after eating so healthy today we will see eh?!?! My only advice after first day is really eat until ur stuffed like the plan says cause if u try to eat to few calories and u get really hungry in between meals u can't go and eat something to satisfy that hunger u gotta wait until the next meal!!! Goooood luck girls on tommorow! Can't wait to hear how ur first day goes!!! Off to eat my grapefruit and then go clean the dentist office))) taz

    Taz- The way I read it was that you are on for 12 days off for 2 but still doing low carb. When I googled it the same info came up on several different pages.

    Okk thanx I thought that was correct! Oh and it said the only sugar free sweets we should have is 1/2 cup sugar free pudding! Well that will b nice having a little 2 day break from grapefruits lol I will pretty much eat the same!! Taz

    Taz- Im so excited to start this diet!! It seems so easy to do compared to the diet my dr gave me to follow. I have given in to the sweets today! I cant help it my TOM makes me want food so bad. I know this may be old news to some of you girls but I got some purdue chicken at wal mart that is already cooked and in the deli meats section. I put some on top of my salad and it makes it so yummy!Just thought I would share.

    I will post my weight tomorrow after I get back from my weigh in at the drs office

    Sorry ladies I have to postpone this for now. I have a terrible sore and swollen throat and fever and the thought of eating solid food makes me cringe right now...it even hurts to drink water! Hopefully I wont lag too far behind, heck maybe a liquid diet for a few days will do me some good - lol

    Ohhh shoefiend I hope u get to feeling better, don't worry bout dieting just get better girl and then let us no when u decide u can start'!! Rest n get well girl drink lots of warm stuff it helps soothe the throat Tea and honey is awesome for ur throat as well taz

    Default After 1st day on plan I'm down 1.4 this morning!!!

    Okkk so goood luck to all u starting today let me no how it goes this evening! I'm down 1.4 this morning I just knew I was gonna b down cause I ate so good and felt skinnier when I went to bed last nite! This is even good news cause I'm battling my Tom so it's nice to see a loss! I hope today goes as well! Remember eat until ur full I'm stressing this cause I got a little hungry after lunch so I ate lots for dinner! Anyways just had to check in with u all can't wait to hear how ur day goes))))taz
