Good Morning Everyone! Congrats on doing the shred for those of you who did. I really should go out and get it but I got sick! great.. as soon as college starts back and I'm in the moving process and stressed out about work and bills .. I get SICK! comes at the best times.

I got on the scale this morning and didn't lose anything since yesterday and that's pretty depressing. I'm sure I didn't have more than 700 calories yesterday so I don't understand why I stayed the same?! I really wish I had time to work out today but I work until 5 and have class until 9. Why does life have to be so crazy?!?

^^ I ate around 900 and gained 2 lbs. Yesterday I was 219! Today, 221. Wtf. I know it is just water weight but I don't care! I understand not losing everyday, but gaining?! Even if it is water weight it still annoys me. I am seriously going to start weighing once a week and eat more (which will be hard because I am hardly ever hungry).

I am on the end of my period though. I though yesterday's drop was an indicator that all was good with the world and I dropped the excess water weight. Ugh.

I think I am gonna invest in a Tanita body analysis scale sometime soon...my doctor uses it and those things are too cool.

I'm on mine too and retaining water like crazy!! I hate putting on your pants and have a bloated belly from the water ughh. My doctor told me even though it seems a little strange, drinking MORE water helps get rid of water weight and if you feel like you are retaining water, you should drink even more to get it out of your system. I'm drinking water like crazy today so hopefully I won't be all bloated tomorrow. I didn't gain but I didn't lose either.

Yours is most likely water weight unless your 900 cals consisted of all junk food or something. You may could try some cardio to sweat it out or if you go to the gym, the sauna or steam room might help. That's where I'd be if I only had the time. grrr.

No, yesterday wasn't exactly what I'd call a GOOD day but it's wasn't bad. I think I had too many crap carbs. For breakfast I usually have a fruit smoothie and eggs (so some good carbs paired with protein). Then for lunch I'll have a salad with fat free dressing and a grilled cheese with whole grain wheat bread and three slices of low fat cheese. Snack could be an apple with 2 tablespoons peanut butter, some yogurt, a little air popped popcorn. Dinner is usually a chicken wrap with a lot of chicken, a sprinkle of cheese and some hot sauce. Yesterday I was out of eggs so I ended up having my smoothie and a turkey and cheese (low fat 1 slice) roll up (weird, I know lol). For lunch I ate a peanut butter sweet n salty bar (think that is where I may have went wrong). For dinner I ate a portion of chicken with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese, a spoonfull of mashed potatoes, a dallop of gravy and tons of green beans. It wasn't the best day, I may have actually not had enough calories or too many carbs (like the bar or the potatoes).

Hey Kim, wow u work 16 hour shifts? Is this normal hours or did u have to pull a double?! I used to work 12 hour shifts at the hospital but 16 would b over kill! Hey my lovely ladies!!! Wow I just love coming here when I wake up it's my first thing I do soon as I'm up and moving around!! I'm soooooo happpppy to see u all posting everyday sounds like everyone is doing great, but also sounds like everyone is having to deal with the ole TOM! Well include me in on that one to cause I have gained nearly two pounds and am sooooo upset about it! Darn period lol! It's so frustrating when u no ur working so hard and then hop on scale to see a gain! But it's ok girls we WILL get it back off! For me I got so sick last nite, then woke up today still really sick to my stomach, been in the bathroom all morning and can't keep much down, hubby said he was going to leave work and take me to dr but I want to see how I do rest of day! My period is not here it's trying hard to happen so mayb that's why I'm so sick! I have endometrosis and it sux! But anyhow I'm gonna try to get my cardio in today, sounds like some of u have crazy schedules, don't stress out if u can't get ur cardio in, long as u try that's all that matters!

SO Valentines day is coming up and was wondering if anyone has a certain weight they would love to b by then? I would love to b 150 by then but I bet it won't happen, since Tom is messing with me hehe! But thE thought of seeing 150 makes me real happy that's where I'm trying to b at this point! hmm I would love to be 215 by valentines day. Not very realistic, I know.. but if I get anywhere close to it, I'll be much happier! Maybe next year I'll actually be able to buy something sexy to wear for v-day.. not this year though!! lol

And I finally figured out what ya'll mean by TOM LOL seems like we're all on it .. strange

Well count me on TOM too, ugh its not fun and I was sick of my stomach last night too but today I am feeling alot better and I have to confess I did not do my hour cardio yesturday I was just not feeling good...but today I will get that done

Lol wow guess we r all on Tom lol how strange!!! Yea when I first came here it took me forever to figure that one out! Sorry I should have wrote it out Ok so u want to b 215 or close as possible! Ok Mary Mary u have confessed ur sin hee hee so I'm gonna forgive u this time and let u slide j/k sorry u felt crappy last nite to, maybe were all rubbing off on one another lol! All of us on Tom togather geeez this means that next week we will ALL lose big togather ok the vitamins I'm taking is called one source skin, hair, and nails! U take 2 a day and they have 1000mcg of biotin in them and also msm, and gelatin and lots more of good vitamins! They r like 5$ and some change for a forty day supply! So far they r working good for me and it seems like my hair is growing lol also my nails r for sure getting long! I have nail tips on and my under nails are growing out, which they never do that! So it's the vitamins get them at walmart!! They were further down on the shelf hubby actually found them for me! Taz

Taz, feel better!

I hate TOM. I'm technically not ON TOM anymore (stopped yesterday pretty much) but I was up two lbs on the scale. I figured I ate about 1000 cals yesterday. Eh, we'll see tommorow and then I am having the bf hide it WELL until at least Sunday or Monday.

Today I am making sure to drink a ton of water and get back to my exact eating plan. I may start doing a lower calorie/low carb diet. My goal is to lose 35lbs by April. So far not so good. I'd be happy with 30 but it's like everytime I drop weight, I gain a lb back (I'm sure it's water weight). Then I drop, gain, drop, gain.....ugh. I am pissed off. lol

By the end of Jan (19 days including today) I would LOVE to be 210lbs. Dunno if that will happen but it would truly make my week if that did happen. So that would be about 10lbs in 19 days. I don't want to set myself up for failure though so I'm not sure if that is realistic. My plan is to get down -35lbs by the beginning of April and then try out HCG in hopes of losing 25-30lbs in my first 40 day round. I just started watching exactly what I eat and I was at 224 (TOM) and was at 219 yesterday. Sooo, I will say 224-35 = 189 and then even if I could just lose 20lbs in a 40 day round of HCG and weigh 169 that would be SO COOL. If I could lose 30lbs and weigh 159 that would be......rediculously crazy. I have not weighed that little since 5/6th grade so I would probably keel over in excitement. I'm not sure if 150lbs is realistic for me (considering I don't remember the last time I weighed 150lbs) but it's a dream goal lol

Okay so I only had 1/2 a phen this morning and didn't have time to eat breakfast but I did have my water.. then I had a lean pocket (250 cals) for lunch.. and my head hurts and I feel weak and crappy and achey.. probably from being sick but I just wanna go climb under the covers lol

I was thinking of going to buy the shed dvd but I have a few other fun dvd's I need to drag out. One is dance away the inches and something booty yoga. I'm going to try to do those tonight after class sometime before bed! lol

Also, on the topic of hair loss.. Nioxin has a great vitamin for hair growth. I used to work at a hair salon and those vitamins sold like crazy! 30 of them is about 19 dollars though so they're a little expensive but they work! I've got some I'm going to start taking before mine starts to fall out.

Ok ladies, this is soooo weird. I am on TOM too I sooo hate the super bloated feeling I get, not to mention irritability, achy and cravings like a few days before. I really dread the scale during TOM, it never reads what I want it to say!

As for a V-day goal.... originally I wanted to be 50lbs down by 1/30 but since my body isnt cooperating I would like to get there by V-day. So, 228 is my goal but would love, love, love to see 225 or less.

Hope everyone gets to feeling better! Looks like it is really goin around, probably from this crazy frigid winter we are havin. My step son is home sick today, he was up most of the night with a stomach bug. I have been runnin around the house santizing everything like a crazy nut. I sooo dont want the stomach flu...I really hate to throw up!

Xblackbetty, I hear u about 150! U don't no how bad I'm dying to see my scale say that number it seems like the closer u r to goal the harder it gets tho! U wait until ur like 200 it will make u so mad getting to 199 lol it took me oz by oz was the slowest time! Then once u get 199 it seems like the weight comes off fast! I took my weight loss 5-10 pounds at a time that way I wouldn't feel so overwhelmed with how much I had to lose! I'm feeling so impatient anymore, cause I been on this long journey way to long lol I'm so ready to relax a little but can't until I make my goal, then mayb just mayb I can relax sum ugh I'm feeling so bad today still my stomach just hurts so bad, it's not pms cramps it's more pain in my upper stomach, even to cough it hurts inside, or if I push on my stomach it hurts! I had like eight stomach surgeries 2 yrs ago with ileostomy and I'm praying to god that all this pain is not from the scar tissue cause I been out of surgery for two years but dr said I will need to come back to have scar tissue removed every so often! and I sure don't want no surgery this year! It sux! So I'm crossing my fingers it's only a flu bug and will go away tommorow taz

Okay so I only had 1/2 a phen this morning and didn't have time to eat breakfast but I did have my water.. then I had a lean pocket (250 cals) for lunch.. and my head hurts and I feel weak and crappy and achey.. probably from being sick but I just wanna go climb under the covers lol

I was thinking of going to buy the shed dvd but I have a few other fun dvd's I need to drag out. One is dance away the inches and something booty yoga. I'm going to try to do those tonight after class sometime before bed! lol

Also, on the topic of hair loss.. Nioxin has a great vitamin for hair growth. I used to work at a hair salon and those vitamins sold like crazy! 30 of them is about 19 dollars though so they're a little expensive but they work! I've got some I'm going to start taking before mine starts to fall out.
Crawling into bed sounds like a plan to me to sorry ur feeling lousy, do u think mayb u need more food then a lean pocket ? I no if I don't eat enough I feel horrible n get bad headaches to! Also b sure to drink lots of water with phen or it will cause u to have bad headaches! Ur supposed to drink half ur body weight in ozs a day of water ! So if u weigh 200 u need to b drinking 100ozs water a day! I drink two liters of water every single day ! I used to hate water so much but now it's all I crave! So can I get the nioxin vitamins at walmart or do u have to buy them at a salon? My hair is getting thinner and thinner everyday, it's falling out from the roots, any time I brush or wash my hair I lose more and more of it! And I'm starting to see bald spots on my scalp so I'm freaking out ! I no this happens when u lose alot of weight but wow I don't want to b skinny n bald lol! Does these vitamins help ur hair grow long to? I'm going to check them out for sure! Taz

No you have to get them at a salon that sells nioxin hair products. I'd get out the phone book and call before you go up there b/c not all hair places sell it. They have shampoos and treatments to help re-grow hair that makes your scalp feel wonderful!

I was wondering too if it wasn't that I need to eat more so I had a special k snack bar and I'm going to see if that helps. I've got a cough, cold, sore throat, headache, chills, body aches, and my vision is a little blurry and I'm extremely tired. .. hope its not the flu. Work tried to send me home but I need the hours

Going to try to up the water intake too.. thanks for that knowledge.. i had no idea youre supposed to drink 1/2 your body weight in ozs of water

Yea I'm with u Mary I will try it all lol I don't want to lose any more hair either lol! I hope I can find me some tommorow I will call all the salons lol! Thanx southern!! WELL YESTERDAY WAZ NUTS!! I DIDNT GET TO POST YESTERDAY BUT I DID DO MY WORKOUT. I NEED TO FIND A DIFFERENT WORKOUT THIS ONE GETS MY HEARTRATE UP AND ALL AND IT DOES WHAT ITS SUPPOSED TO DO BUT ITS HARD TO FOLLOW IT IS THE WINSOR PILATES ACCELERATED FAT BURNING WORKOUT JUST ONE THAT IS LEFT OVER FROM PREVOUS ATTEMPTS TO LOSE. I AM GOING TO GO GET THE SHRED TODAY ALSO MY EXERCISE BUDDY IS BACK ON BOARD. SOOO STOKED NOT TO HAVE TO DO IT ALOND. HER NIECE IS AN ADDICT AND I AM HELPING HER ON THE SIDE AND HAVE SUGGESTED THAT SHE EXERCISE TO POWER THRU THE CRAVINGS LIKE I DO WITH ALL THE GIRLS. SHE FELT SO GOOD THAT SHE IS GOING TO DO THE SAME TO QUIT SMOKING YAYY SHE USED TO RUN 3-5 MILES A DAY AND SAID THAT SHE WOULD HELP ME TO WORK UP TO RUNNING EVERY DAY BECAUSE I AM HELPING HER. Simore, that's great I'm happy u will have someone to workout with! If u learn any running tricks lol please share!! Any stretchs or anything she suggests before starting! Mayb it will help me not get such sore legs! The body band sounds really cool! I never heard of it but let us no if it works! U for sure need to get the shred if u Want a good workout! U will need some hand weights with the shred! 2--3 pound is all! Good luck on ur new workout tonight!!! Taz

I have heard of the "belly band" although I don't think that's what it's called lol. It is big wide band thing and the inside is made from this thick foamy/rubber material that doesn't let your skin breathe and when you start working out, it causes your stomach to sweat BIG TIME! I don't like taking it to the gym to use because I can feel the sweat running down and it gets my pants wet all around the bottom of the band and looks really strange lol i prefer to use it at home to a workout video.

I am stuck at 239! Idk what is going on! It's been 3 days! aghhhhhhhh

Yesterday was pretty good. I went to class at 5:30 and did not get home until 9 (looonnng class) so I was STARVING. I ate some salmon and broccoli with a dash of parmesan cheese. I then got so hungry later I had some cheese and pretzels and a bowl of quarker oatmeal squares - reasonable, smallish portions. I ended up being 219 today so yay! I feel thinner....I am pretty sure I already look a lot better in my clothes. I really want to be 210 by the end of this month.

So the only thing I did yesterday was go to Curves. After that I was starving so I ate dinner. I always wait at least an hr after eating to begin working out but by that time Biggest Loser was on and I have to watch it. I love that show! I had intentions of completing the shred and doing some cardio after that but my eyes were soo heavy so I just went to bed. So only about 40 mins of exercise yesterday. I will be doing the shred and cardio today!

Oh and I went to the doc yesterday and I lost 2 lbs of pure fat this week. I hate going there in the afternoon after work because my appt is not until 4:15 and have ate and drank all day and of course have my clothes on when he weighs me..lol..so yesterday I weighed in at 170.2 on my scale in the morning and 171.5 on his scale at 4pm. When I got home I weighed myself on my scale to see what the difference in scales were and my scale said 172. So his scale is .5 less than mine. Well this morning on my scale I weighed in at 169.6! So -.6 in 24 hrs!!

I would love to be at 167 on Tuesday morning, but TOM is coming so we'll see..grrr

Im trying to get some motivation to turn on the DVD player and do the Shred... But Im freezing and sleepy. My sister had a big date with a pretty famous guy so she woke me up when she got home and wanted to chat... I didnt want to feel bad so I let her talk my ear off... Ugh. WAKE UP!!! LOL

Hey girls just a quick note, u no how my stomach has been hurting sooo bad the last few days, well it's gotten worse ( it's not pms cramps ) it's real serious stomach pains, to the point I can hardly stand up n walk, so I'm going to be spending my afternoon in the hosp gotta drink some dye and then do a cat scan I'm so scared cause it could b several different things going wrong, the mesh in my stomach from hernia repair has been recalled , it could b something with that, or could b scar tissue or colon issues ! Please say some prayers for me, I will keep in touch and let u all no how everything turns out! I have been surgery free for a year and I hope 2010 won't turn out to b a bad year that 2008 was for me! Keep up the good work girls and I will respond to ur messages tonight taz

Oh Taz, I am sooo sorry that you are in such pain. You will be in my prayers all day. I hope and pray that you dont have to have more surgery. I know how hard it can be on you and your body, my bff is constantly in surgery due to many medical issues. Please let us know how you are doing as soon as you are able and we are here if you need anything!
