Good morning Ladies!

Xblack - great job on turning down the hot cheeto fries, they are also one of my faves. My hubby has done the same thing to me...when I first started he brought me a candy bar and I am like I cant eat that, but um thanx. He since has realized that I mean business this time especially since I turned down chocolate and that is something I never do!

Taz - I think you read my mind on the challenge thing I was just thinkin last night that I wanted to challenge myself this week to 1 hr cardio a day. I am going to break mine up if thats ok...30 minutes in am and 30 in pm. Before it got cold I was doing an hour+ everyday cuz I love to walk outside. But for some reason being inside on the treadmill I just cant push myself as much and only get in 30 min a day. So now is the time to get back in gear

Kind of a crappy weekend for me Saturday early am I was leaving for work and did the unthinkable. It was sooo cold and dark and the exhaust from my car was like a blanket of fog, combine that with icy driveway and boom you back into hubby's truck - his pride and joy! I was so afraid to tell him, I wanted to just crawl in a hole. But I mustered the courage and yes at first he freaked out a bit, then calmed down and was just happy that I was ok. The damage wasnt too bad to his truck, a small dent in the rear and broken tail light. My car on the other hand... 1/3 of my rear bumper shattered - plastic piece of chit! So no exercise for me this weekend All weekend went running around lookin and calling for car parts, tail light, etc. Didnt want to turn it in to my insurance cuz we had water damage to the house only 6 mo ago and then now with 2 cars, that would be 3 claims in less than a yr and I dont want to be dropped! So stressed out to the max! Well back to the grind today, gotta get in my 1 hr of cardio starting now. I hope you guys didnt mind me venting for a minute...and a big thank you for listening

Taz - Woo hoo!!! Size 8! That is soooo great, you must be ecstatic and dancing around the block! I am doing the happy dance for you Wearing a size 8 is my goal! I dont think I have ever been a size 8 in my whole life... to wear a single digit size would be heaven! Big congrats to you girl!!!

that is totally fine splitting ur mins up! Gosh r we alike or what lol I soooo can't stay on that freaking treadmill thirty mins straight either! I just get so bored with it, but put me outside and I can go two hours lol so I'm like u I plan to do like 15 mins on treadmill, 15 on bike and 15 on ellipical at gym then the other 15 mins mayb work on my abs I'm hoping I can drop a few pounds this week if I stick to this hour a day since I haven't exercised in so long! Ohhhh I bout flipped when I fit in size 8 girl! I knew my jeans were all to big but kept wearing them with belts! I just never in my life thought I would b a size 8 again! I would b happy if I knew I could stay this size forever and never gain another pound! Haha wow I'm sooooo sorry to hear about ur cars! U no I did that before but ran smack in to a tree and shattered my entire back window out of my suv and man was I ever scared to tell hubby! He still brings it up from time to time lol soo I no just how u felt when u had to tell him, I'm happy he didn't get to angry at u, I mean it's not like we would ever do these things on purpose! ok so I had better get my behind up and in gear since u have already gotten 30 mins in! I hope the other girls join us so far there is three of us in on this challange!!! Woohoo! Who ever wins this week will get to pick the next challange taz

Well I did good on the party and I am proud of myself!....I havent done any exercise at all I went to my sisters and stayed the night there so we really went to sleep late and this morning I did not wanted to get up, but I will make it up for tonight.

Taz-I want to join too, I need all the cardio that I can get so I can see 168 again.

Taz - A SIZE 8?!?! That's amazing. Size 8 is SMALL. You should go to the gym and not worry about anyone else. You have come so far and you're SMALL now!

I don't think I've ever been a size 8 (besides when I was a kid maybe? But even then lol I do remember having a size 9 in juniors when I was like 10 and they were a little too big but I am pretty sure that doesn't count considering I was 10. lol I doubt I'll ever be a size 8 but that has always been my major goal size. I will aim for a 10/11 cause I haven't worn 11's in a long time lol

That's what I am going to have the bf do. Instead of eating, I'm making him buy me a pole (consideriably more expensive than a bag of cheetos but I'll get good use out of it as opposed to the bag of cheetos).

EEB310 - 3lbs a week is what I am aiming for too! I don't think that is unreasonable at all, I think it is a totally acheivable goal.

Shoefiend - Omg, I am not big on candy but last night the bf had some almond joy pieces and I ate a handfull. Suprisingly I didn't feel too bad. Yes, I could have had an apple or something healthier but I only ate a handfull and stopped. I got my sweet tooth kick (which I almost never have) and had less than a serving size so managed less than 10g of fat and not a whole lot of calories.

Mary-Mary - Parties are so hard! I remember when I was younger I went to a birthday party and had been doing awesome on my diet and lost a little weight and the party killed it. One piece of pizza and the diet went out the window. That's great you didn't let the party interfere though! Sometimes it's hard to do eat real world especially when your friends aren't dieting (or don't need to). I think my mindset is changing from "I have to eat food/drink alchol to have fun at a party to I'll just be myself and feel good about making good food choices at a party and enjoy the company".

BF still has not hid the scales, making him do that today. I just think when I weigh myself everyday I am excited until I get on the scale. With the hardwork I always expect to lose like 2lbs in a day and that is just not realistic (unless it's water weight). I need to be happy about my progress this far. I've lost about 2.8lbs per week since Dec 1st and I was not that serious about losing at first either so I have to give myself props. I definitely didn't gain the weight overnight and I definitely will not lose it overnight either. I mean, I did manage to lose weight over the holidays - that has got to count for something lol I have 17-19 more lbs to lose to make my first goal of 200. I can taste it it's so close!

Just a quick check in. I feel like crap! My cough is killing me. My abs, and back hurt from coughing. I was really hoping that by today I would be better... NOT happening! Ugh! Feel horrible and I have weigh in tomorrow morning.

Winter...ugh.
I hope you feel better soon! Get some warm (low calorie ^_~) soups, cover yourself up and be careful with the nyquil (phen has to opposite effect). Take some R&R!

Taz-I dont know how i missed the comment that you are a size 8, that is amaizing I am still a size 11 and having a hard time to get lower...I cant wait to wear a size 8 like you...girl you just inspire me...it makes me want to get out of work and get on my treadmill and run for 1 hour lol too bad I cant do it but for sure tonight I will.

Thanks! Ive only taken phen 3x since weds and those were the days I felt ok. Im gonna go get me some soup and curl up and watch QVC and HSN... My favs for when Im sick on the couch. LOL Strange huh?

On a strange but happy note I Just noticed that my collar bone is sticking out a lil and there isnt much "padding" on it any more. LOL I just put my hand there when I finished coughing and went "whoa hey wait a minute" with a little giggle.

wow 2.8 pounds a week is awesome! I'm telling u I'm just stuck or something and I no it's my darn period lol but it's making me mad! I would for sure b happy losing 3 pounds a week, and not only are u losing pounds ur losing inches to! Try measuring urself then wait a month and compare the differences! U will b amazed, hubby
measured me all the time and I really lost
alot of inches in places I never even thought
I could! about the choclate, it's ok to have
some of yr favorite foods, If I want
something I have a little bite and it satisfys
me if I don't have some then it makes it
even worse and I will try to binge out on it
haha! Last nite I had a few bites of ice cream
but I felt satisfied with only a few bites! We r human and we can't deprive ourself of sweets n stuff, so we may as well learn how to have it with out pigging out on it, this is a life style change were making for ourselves! And we all no we won't b able to go rest of our lifes without choclate lol! Yea I guess I just have to get it in my head I'm no longer that big girl, it's so strange how u lose lots of weight but u still see ur old self in the mirror! Even tho u no for a fact u r in smaller clothes n weigh less! I guess it's a phase u have to work through! U b sure and let me no when u get that pole! That will b lots of fun!!!!! Taz

Ugh so sorry ur still feeling so bad! My hubby had the same thing and is on second round of antibiotics! He's got bronchitis, so b careful u may have that to and it can turn into pneumonia real fast! Try having some hot tea with honey in it, that's very soothing for ur throat! Just get plenty of rest and don't breathe the cold air when u go outside! Ahhh I can just feel ur excitment about feeling ur collar bones the first time I felt mine and seen them was the best feeling to me! I never had collar bones since I was a kid and now I can't keep my hands off them, and I love wearing shirts that show them off now lol! Ur at the phase where ur going to b noticing all sorts of changes with ur body now! Wait until u feel ur ribs and pelvic bone, and ur hips n all that! I loveeee it!!! I love being able to cross my legs when I sit now, and love being able to sit Indian style! All these little changes are amazing I can't wait until u all experience them all))) taz

Hi everyone I'm pretty new here so I'm still trying to figure the forums out!! The idea of a challenge sounds great although I work full time and go to school 4 nights a week.. I'm still going to try to get in some gym time!! I really want to get wii fit so I can do it at home when I have a few minutes instead of having to make a few hours out of my busy schedule to get to the gym!

I'm so glad I found somewhere where I can relate to other people! This site seems amazing and I'm going to keep coming here.

I started Phentermine for the 2nd time last wednesday and have already lost 14 lbs.

The 1st time I was on it 4 years ago, I lost 35lbs in 3 months but quit taking it and it all came back plus more!!

I wish everyone tons of luck with meeting your goals!!

Ahhhh thanx Mary ur going to get there u wait and see i loved when I bought my first size 11 lei jeans lol it felt great!!! And this size 8 isn't spanex or stretchy material either my sister had to check lol she's amazed at my transformation! My entire family is really! I no how u feel I want to take off running so bad but my darn legs are still hurting from my twenty min run the other nite, what's up with that lol! It's making me mad, having such sore muscles! I'm being good today since I had a little treat last nite of ice cream taz

hi and welcome we would love for u to join us!! and even if u don't have time to go to the gym mayb u can do some workouts at home, the 30 day shred workout DVD by Jillian micheals is a great one! She will really kick ur butt hehe or u can do some jogging in place or walking even! This week we are challanging everyone to do at least one hour of cardio a day We come here any time we want and check in, it just gives us that xtra support n motivation being here for one another! And challanges always motivate me to work hard and not give up! Congrats on losing 14 pounds that is wonderful! I no by the end of 2010 we are all going to b different girls, and will b sooooo proud of ourselves!!! I hope we can post some pics soon, I no I will b posting some soon as I get my Internet which I'm callin. Today about pictures always inspire me, just seeing how far others have come!!!! Looking forward to getting to no u more taz

Thanks and I'd love to join in. I tend to set some pretty unrealistic goals but I really want to be down to 235 by thursday morning so I'm going to work really hard to get there

I have TONS of clothes from when I was 160 and in a size 10-11 and I'm just dying to fit into those old clothes again. Everyone thinks I'm so silly for hanging on to bins after bins of jeans and tops and dresses and skirts.
Does anyone else have bunches of clothes from when they were smaller?
It's kind of a motivation for me to really step it up and get serious this time.

Hey ladies,

Just checking in Glad to see more people joining the challenge! I plan on doing the 30 min shred 2 times today since I missed 3 days from being sick and I want to try and make up the days. Also, I'd like to go on the elliptical for at least 30 mins. I weigh in tomorrow at the M.D. so today is the last chance workout..lol

Taz - size 8!! woo-hoo! That is awesome! I can't remember the last time I was an 8! I think I was also like 10 years old like blackbetty said..haha

mscasanova - Hope you feel better soon! Drink some hot tea if you like it! It should help with your cough and throat!!

Mary-Mary - glad your joining in! and did good well attending the parties! It's sooo hard to not "pick" at parties!!

shoefiend - sorry about your vehicles but glad your ok! Great job in getting the 30 mins in so far!

southernbelle - welcome! you will love this site! I've only been here for like 6-7 weeks and im addicted! I love the support, especially from the ladies who have been here longer than me! It's great to have people to relate to and share struggles with. The support here is endless!!

How I wish I could say I had a closet full of smaller clothes when I started here on this forum a year ago! I started at size 24-26 and now in size 8?!?!?! That's crazy really mind boggling to me! So no I didn't have any small clothes just all huge ones and had to clean my closet out many times over the last year, I been going thro my things today and have tons to get rid of for hopefully the last time! All the clothes I have now are smaller ones and I'm not getting rid of them anytime soon lol! And for sure wasn't going to keep my huge ones cause I never want to fit back into them hee hee it's strange how when u get skinnier ur whole style changes, everyone swears I'm in my twenties now but I'm 33 but I sure have great style in clothes, I love ripped low rise jeans and those nice body fitting tshirts! It's just I worked hard for this body so I don't want to hide it more then I have to! My 14 year old neice is now wearing my clothes, that is such a great feeling to share clothes with her! Although I have to watch her closely now cause she loves to sneak my clothes home without telling me! I just bought me a black cami from aeropostal and I so no she snatched it on Christmas day, little stinker! But yea I agree with u keep the smaller clothes cause now u won't have to go buy all new clothes like I have had to! Bras, panties, coats, even shoes, I have went down a size in my shoes lol! Good luck on getting to 235 I'm crossing my fingers for u taz

You lost a shoe size?? Man I really hope I do too!!!

Congrats on being a size 8! That's wonderful!!! I hope I can say that someday!! LOL! And I can't wait for the day I can go through my 'fat clothes' and clean out my closet. Most of my clothes are smaller sizes because I just refuse to invest money in clothes I don't want to be in!! I'll go to the store and try them on and look in the mirror and refuse to buy them because I don't want to wear that size. It's torture sometimes! It takes a lot of willpower to lose that much weight and I have been yo-yo dieting for years now and I'm finally to a point where I'm really going to buckly down and stop "dieting" and consider it more of a lifestyle change because that's what it is.

I am just starting but I would like to join in on the accountability thred as well. I am so tired of trying to find people here in my town to be in contact with for accountability. I have also encountered some people who think that it is such a bad idea to lose weight with phen. Oh well I know that you all will be here every day and I can come whenever I need the encouragement. I am at 270 and -2 since last Wednesday. I gotta get this I have lost weight before but somethings happened and I quit taking the time to take care of myself and I gained all 100 lbs that I had lost and another 30. I have not been able to lose any since I was told once before that every time you gain back weight it is twice as hard to lose again and i am a living testimony that its true. On the brighter side, I know what I did wrong and I will not stop taking care of myself this time.

Phen isn't for everyone and I try not to let everyone know. My parents know, my boyfriend knows, my doctors know and some of my friends know too. I am thinking once I lose a noticeable amount of weight people will start asking what I did and I'll tell them - I have no shame in the weight loss game. If someone said "Well, that's dangerous", I would tell them so is being overweight and phen worked for me. Don't knock it til ya tried it I always say lol

Hehe I no It sounds strange but I'm serious I actually lost a shoe size and half to b exact ! I was in 8.5 now I'm in size 7!! I about freaked out when I kept putting on my shoes and they were to big! Ur gonna b amazed at all the chants to come lol! Ohh and I'm the same way I'm so picky with clothes and must try everything on before I buy it! I go to the thrift shop for nearly all my clothes! It's like the best thrift shop I ever Been to in all my life' all the rich people donate their clothes n shoes there even jewlery n stuff and wow do I find great things people thinks I shop at the mall all the time cause I wear rue. 21, old navy, gap, aero, Eddie bauer and so forth! I love second hand clothes! I could not have replaced all my clothes if it hadn't been for thrift shop! Girl u have the right attitude and ur right this is for sure a life style change! Some just think about short term while losing weight, about how good it feels to b smaller at the moment but in order to accomplish and maintain u have to do it as a life time committment change! It may b hard but who ever said being healthy and looking good was easy!!! Nothing is easy anymore in life!!! Taz

Lol, it's a workout DVD called the 30 day shred! By Jillian micheals, she's the lady who is on the biggest loser show! It's a really good workout and will get u sweating in no time! It's a rather cheap DVD I got mine at target for like 10$! It's well worth it and if u use it faithfully u will lose lots of inches n weight! I no alot of girls doing it and doing really well! Taz

Hey there and welcome!!! I'm happy u will b joining our group!!! I just wanted to share with u I was around 280 when I came here a year ago and although I didn't get to b on phen for more then a couple weeks, I lost 121 pounds in 2009!! So the amount of weight may seem like alot to lose again but u can do it! U have done it before and can do it again it really bothers me when others assume the worst right away when they find out ur on phen or any other med, cause like xblack said being obese is dangerous also., so is most all meds people take! And then the second thing people think is ur taking the easy way out to lose weight. But that is not true at all! Phen helps suppress ur appetite but it doesn't do all the work! It's up to us to eat healthy and to exercise! If all we do. Is take phen sure we may lose some weight but sure not as much as we will working hard for it! I didn't really have much outside support during my journey last year, I got it all here my friends all got jealous so wanted no part of it, even so jealous that they didn't even take me out on my bday in October when they always took me out, but since I'm no longer the fat friend, and I can dress cute like them I guess they don't want to take me out! I was always the one who made them feel good and then suddenly I become their competition I guess! Idk, But trust me it's way better having support from people who r going thro the same thing as u, someone who truly understands ur ups n downs and who no how hard it is to lose weight and keep it off! That's why I wanted to start this little thread cause I love having someplace to go everyday and no I have those same people to talk to about my struggles and also my success! And also to help everyone else that are going thro what I went through all last year! So just no u have plenty of support now, and won't b judged or critized!!! We r all here for the same reason) taz

I KNOW THAT I CAN DO THIS! I AM IN GOOD HEALTH FOR MY SIZE AND HAVE THE DESIRE. SOMETIMES I CAN SEE MYSELF JOGGING. I KNOW THAT I AM NOT READY FOR THAT YET BUT I KNOW THAT I WILL GET THERE. THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT I WILL CHECK IN EVERYDAY. I HAVE TO DO MY EXERCISE IN THE AM BECAUSE AFTER 10AM MY LIFE IS NO LONGER MINE. MY WINDOW IS FROM 8 TO 9:15 BUT I CAN ALSO INCLUDE WALKING TO WORK AND THAT ADDS ANOTHER 30 MIN ONE WAY. AND IT IS A BEAUTIFUL WALK THRU A CANYON PARK SO I AM THINKING I CAN GET AT LEAST AN HOUR AND 45 MIN IN EVERY DAY. DOES ANYONE ELSE WORKOUT IN THE AM?

Mary hope ur getting some much needed sleep right now I don't think I will get any rest tonight, I have felt fine all day, got my hour cardio in, then tonight my stomach started hurting sooo bad, feels like I been poisoned the pains are so sharp in my stomach! Ugh, took some pain meds, hubby said mayb I'm hungry so I tried to eat something but just feelin to sick to even eat, sooooo I'm hoping whatever it is passes by fast! I hate having stomach aches! I'm gonna go lay down with heat pad and will check in with everyone in the morning! Taz

Hey girls!! Just checking in!! I had my first 16 hour work day of the week yesterday and have another one tomorrow, so today is the day I weigh in. I am officially 178.8 down almost 10 pounds. Too bad I am too freakin tired to jump up and down. I was gonna shred tonight, hmmm maybe, maybe not. I hope everyone is starting the week off great!!!

I love ur positive attitude gosh I see myself running to but man it's so freaking hard lol! I jogged twenty mins straight last week, and well my lower legs, my calfs are still sooo sore I can hardly walk! Idk what the heck is up with this, didn't think I should b sore this long lol! I'm hoping to try it again soon, cause I would love to jog around my neighbor hood this summer! That would b so much fun! Sounds like u live in a nice place, and it's always nice to have a beautiful walk in the mornings ur lucky it's so cold and snowy here I can't do anything outside right now! I'm planning on hitting the gym every morning starting next Monday! This week is to crazy to get out in the am! Taz

Mscavanova - feel better soon! Get lots of rest so you can be 100% sooner rather than later. Yes as everyone else mentioned, hot tea with honey and a squeeze of lemon (for vitamin c) is great for helping me feel better when I am sick. If it is real bad like a chest cold I sometimes will add brandy and make a hot totty, it really helps clear you up. If you have a bad cough keeping you up (tickle in your throat), pickle juice works wonders if you are trying to stay away from meds.

Xblack - I know how you feel with the scale and weighing in. When I first started I wouldnt even peak until I went to the doc, but lately I am a nut case about it. I just want to see all the weight gone just by the snap of my fingers. Poof, I lost 5 more lbs - lol I have to keep telling myself I didnt get this heavy over night, it took years. Slow and steady wins the race, I am so over fad diets and yo yoing up and down! We will get there and hopefully will get control over our scale obsession

Mary - congrats on conquering the party!! I know that is one of my weaknesses, trying to control the eating with alcohol, yummy fatty food and desserts flowing everywhere. Not to mention watching everyone stuffing their faces.

EEB - you rock! Doing the Shred 2x a day!!! I bought the shred a month ago and have only done it once, it is torture with all those jumping jacks! Keep up the awesome work!

Taz - I hope you feel better, get some rest. The heating pad always makes me feel better too

Well, I completed my 30 min in the pm for a total of 1hr cardio today, yay! I actually feel better and a bit more energized than I have in weeks. Hopefully I will have the same attitude in the am when it is time to start the day over again. Hope everyone has a good night!

I HERE THAT. I HATE THE COLD. IT ISNT SNOWY HERE BUT THERE IS A CHILL IN THE AIR IN THE AM. BUT AFTER I GET MOVING, I WARM UP PRETTY QUICKLY. SOMETIMES I HAVE A HARD TIME GETTING OUT OF THE HOUSE. AFTER I AM A BLOCK AWAY, I AM REALLY HAPPY TO BE OUT THERE AND KNOWING THAT I AM DOING SOMETHING FOR ME REALLY HELPS. AT WORK I HAVE TO SPEND ALOT OF TIME BEHIND A DESK AND ALL I CAN DO IS WISH I WERE OUT THERE GETTING MY HEART RATE UP. BUT BY THE TIME I GET OFF WORK IT IS DARK AND I CANT DO ANYTHING. SOMETIMES I REALLY CONTEMPLATE GETTING OUT OF BED AND GOING FOR A WALK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. I THINK IT WILL BE EASIER ONCE I SEE A LITTLE PROGRESS AND HAVE THE INCENTIVE TO PUSH HARDER. THIS IS ALWAYS THE TIME I GET DISCOURAGED AND MESS IT ALL UP. NOT THIS TIME. I AM GOING TO BED NOW SO I CAN GET MY ENERGY FOR TOMORROW.

Well I was only able to get the shred in once today because my future mother in law kept me on the phone for an hr and 1/2 talking about the future wedding plans so that took me until 9:45. I didnt start the shred until 10 and I def wanted to do cardio and didn't want to be working out until midnite! After the shred I did 45 mins of cardio. I feel good. Tomorrow morning is my official weekly weigh in and I see the doc after work. Last week I lost 4 lbs of fat so I hope I did that again this week!! Nite ladies! I'll check in during the A.M.
