    WHY HELLO BEAUTIFUL LADIES!!

    Taz...you rock sista! That's all I can really say! I do have some stool softeners from when I had my daughter, and did take 2 of them last night. It says 2-4 per day...so I thought what the heck! We'll see what happens! If this doesn't work, I'll DEF go get the tea!!! I like tea! Is the brand called "Dieters Tea?" Just checking! My weight Monday was the same as yesterday. 281.2 So I have so far to go! My first goal is 250, so I'm not making ridiculous goals, as least!!! We'll see! Thanks so much! You are such a help!!!

    Alright...time to get rugrat up and get moving! Talk to you all this evening! Keep busting butt all!!!

    Thanx, and ur welcome yea on the front of the box it says dieters tea, it took me a min to find it cause there's so many teas! My mom takes stool softners dailey and she swears by those lol they keep her regular cause she always has trouble with constipation! About the whey protein shakes if they don't have much taste for u mayb u would like the vanilla or strawberry ones that way u can add other things like strawberrys, bananas or other fruit! Just an idea! My sister only likes the strawberry, I guess we all have different taste hehe! Hey when I first started here a year ago I was 280. So I no how u feel like it's impossible sometimes to lose so much weight, but it can b done, and ur body will get over all the little shocks along the way and the weight will start coming off! There were lots of weeks i was just so stuck and felt like giving up" but I didn't cause I knew I would just b more angry at myself! I always felt better trying! Also never weigh during the day or the evening, always weigh urself first thing in the morning when u wake up, after u have gone to the bathroom, weigh nude, and try to weigh at the same time every day! That will b ur real weight! I even notice that when I weigh at 5:30 am I get one weight but then when I weigh at 9:30 it's like a pound or more lighter! Try it sometimes and see what u get! For me it's all about how many hours of sleep I get. If I get 8 hours at least my weight is always lower, our bodies are strange! Ur going to get there, the weight didn't come on over nite and it won't come off over nite, but trust me it's gonna come off long as u stay focused and don't give up! The best execise in my opinion is nothing but walking! That's all I did the entire year is walk walk walk and it literally melted the weight n inches off me! Mayb try to take a short walk 20 mins 5 days a week then after ur comfty with that increase the time by 10 mins each week! Walking is the number one exercise anymore, and it's free and rreally truly works !! Ok I'm off to get a few more mins of shut eye lol I get up with hubby then go back to sleep for a hour or so! Have a good day and remember just stay focused no matter how hard things get! U can do this!!!! Taz

    Ooo that ring sounds pretty ur talking about, a black diamond heart and diamond one! Yea just keep throwing those hints out to him lol! I love jewlery that's different something u don't see many people wear! I was happy to fit in a 7 I thought for sure it would b to tight! What kind of cleanse are u doing? Gosh I keep meaning to ask u but forget every time!! U should b seeing those numbers drop with all that peeing and the cleanse lol! U poor girl ur running both ways haha! When ur taking a fluid pill, make sure u have a Banana every now n then cause with u peeing so much while on diurectics ur potassium levels could get low! So my dr always told me to have 1/2 banana every other day at least! Some people r fine but u never no! Yea my hubby has been great with my weight loss he's so proud for sure! It's like he just feels like he's with someone else, but even when I was my biggest he was so good to me and always bragged on me or telling me I'm pretty! I think that's why I never really felt big and didn't realize just how big I was cause no one ever treated ms as a big person, i wish now someone would have said look ur getting big u need to slow down! Some times that's whst I need is a wake up call lol! I'm never going there again tho Thats for sure!     All this has come to 1,070cals. I had 1,300 yesterday! I'm so frustrated!!! I don't want to eat any more cause then I'll get really mad tomorrow!!!! I need some advice!!!!!

    Also, sorry to bring this up, but is anyone else having trouble going to the bathroom??? If so, does anyone have any suggestions?????? I feel I'm eating enough fiber, but I'm not regular at ALL!!! I need help, please! I'm wondering if that has more to do with the weight not coming off as much!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

    I have a few suggestions that may help I would replace the special k with steel cut oats (oatmeal) or like Taz said hard boiled egg and fruit...just make sure you get in some protein for bfast. I bought a book called eat this not that, has great info...they said specail k cereals have tons of sugar and litle fiber, so not a great way to start the day...I used to eat that too, not anymore! Examples of what I eat for bfast now are turkey bacon and eggbeaters, oatmeal and yogurt, or a hardboiled egg, slice of toast and I always include a fruit. Also, the cafe steamer...watch the sodium on the frozen meals, I do eat them occasionally but the sodium can be a killer and make you retain water. Also...how many fat grams are you eating a day...if you eat too little your body will want to hold onto the fat instead of burning it. You need to eat enough healthy fat daily to lose. Good sources include olive oil, avocado, nuts. I aim to eat between 25 to 30 grams a day. I also had the problem of eating like the exact same foods every day cuz I didnt know what I really should or shouldnt eat. Well I started to fear boredom so I did some research online and bought some cookbooks to make yummy low cal/low fat recipes...Some good ones are Sparkpeople (I also use this site to track my cal and water intake and daily exercise - it tells you how much you need to eat and exercise daily to lose weight....Hungry Girl is a great website also for taking something that is normally off limits and making it healthy. I also bought the Biggest loser cookbook, has some great quick and yummy recipes. Dont get too upset if the scale doesnt move every day, for some reason I have fluctuations like crazy or it doesnt move at all until like the 2nd or 3rd day and then it will finally go down a lb or 2. I know it is hard to not get upset from personal experience, sometimes it is better just to weight 1 to 2x a week I hope this helps you! I know how hard it can be in the beginning, we both started at similar weights and somedays for me it feels like it is taking 4ever! But I just remind myself that slow and steady wins the race

But at least this time I was able to do all the jumping jacks, so that is positive. I am going to try to shred at least 2-3 times a week to spice things up and also so I can get to a point where I can do it everyday. Monday I was really down cuz the scale didnt like me and had me at 242...probably from that darn wine on Saturday and a couple of bad food choices. Well finally this am I am down to 238, 1lb under my friday weigh in. I read about that ring your hubby got you for Vday...it sounds beautiful! Does your hubby give lessons Sometimes my hubby could use them-lol! Anyway, I have been babbling on and on so I better go. I will be thinking about you today Goodluck with your appt, I am very hopeful of the good news you will be sharing with us later today!

    Great Idea w/the pictures of the scales! I think I'm going to start taking pictures of mine regularly lol just so i can look back on it and see my feet on a scale that said such high numbers and really remind myself how far I've come!

    Poisonivy- Welcome!

    So I got up early this morning and I did my video and man It kicked my butt!!!! I had to stop half way to the end because I couldnt keep going I felt like i was going to puke and pass out!!! yeah that is not good I havent exercise in more then 2 months so that catch up to me oh well just have to start all over again I guess.

    oh and taz I think that I am going to be in the challange my start up weight is 170 went up...and my goal weight is 162.

    Ivy- I forgot to say welcome over when I was ranting last night. So welcome!

    Taz- I noticed the same thing about weighing. I get up at 4:30 with my hubby until he leaves then go back for a nap. I decided to weigh myself this morning then and it was over 1 lb more than just now. 9:15 is my normal waking time.

    Its a colon cleanse I got at GNC not the super cleanse bc mine didnt have it but the girl said it was just as good.

    I LOVE my bananas. I have a small one about twice a week. Thanks for the tip too. I know I run low on potassium bc I get a killer headache and when I eat a banana its goes away fairly quick.

    Thats exactly how it is with me. He always calls me beautiful and 'smokin hot' so I never really saw me getting bigger...

    It is super hard to do it everyday! Ive been doing it M-F and it hasnt helped much in the numbers area but I can SEE the difference and the toning happening. Im gonna kick it up tho bc I feel like Im getting into a plateau pretty soon. LOL I feel the same way about the slappin the face! When I dont wear that slimmer belt the belly is all over the place... My boobs arent quite big enough to do that unless I dont have a sports bra on then its free game...

    Belle- Medical Terminology was my FAVORITE subject. I had an awesome professor. Im sure you will do good. Do you make flash cards? One of the prefixes I always HAD problems with was Costo- then my friend said Costco sells ribs... IDK why it stuck with me or why I had such a hard time remembering it but I never forgot it after that. LOL Good Luck

    As for me Im up and at 'em gonna do level 1 shred and some extra cardio this morning. Hopefully things wont get to hectic and I will get in a second workout this evening around 7 at my usual work out time. I was gonna go for a walk but its all muddy bc of the rain last night and I dont wanna play in the mud. It looks like we might get some today too. Alright Im turning on my IPOD now.

    Oh Taz I can vouch for dieter's tea. I think I used this when I was doing the master cleanse (which is disgusting considering they make you drink a huge thing of SALT water). The Dieter's tea is not bad at all. It's actually really sweet without anything added to it if I remember correctly (and if it was the same tea).

    So, I didn't take phen yesterday and it was bad but I did not do too much damage only up like .6 ounces today. I made sure I drank water but it was CONSTANT snacking. I started my day out pretty well with protein and some carbs but from there it went downhill to snack, snack, snack. Then when I went to school we have different students bring in goodies every week and someone brought in these really cool meat/tortilla rolls and cocktail weenies - OMG I LOVE ME SOME COCKTAIL WEENIES! I had a nice, small plate. Unfortunately afterwards I had Bdubs and had some mango habenero wings and a side salad. I had six wings and ate all of the side salad.

    So, I definitely still have not engrained my ways of eating but felt soooo guilty yesterday after eating the way I did - I don't want to gain weight back, I want to keep losing so I am going to continue busting my butt and bring up the fact phen isn't as effective anymore to my doctor and see what he recommends. If I do take some time off I am going to stick to a 100 percent 1,200 diet strictly. It's so weird when I am on phen I can barely eat 900 calories. When I'm off phen I can eat so much more lol I never realized how much I ate before.

    PS: I also love med term. I'm actually taking it again now because if I don't use it I lose it. It's really like learning another language.

    Thank you Mscasanova! What a great idea I definately need to get one of those slimming belts and I have also been meaning to get a good sports bra! The slimming belt will probably help really good with my stomach roll that likes to jump up and down out of my pants and make them fall down - lol. It will make those jumping jacks alot easier with out worrying about keeping my pants up

    Have you tried Meridia? My doc had given me a free sample a few years ago and it worked very well with appetite control...the only problem was the next month he gave me a script and my insurance would not cover it and it cost over $100 out of pocket, so unfortunately I could not afford to stay on it

    Wow 2 other medical terminology people!

    Mscas- I made flash cards for ch 1 and it took forever!!! I don't know if I'm going to make them for the rest b/c it takes so long but I think they help so I may. It took the whole thing of flash cards to do one chapter!! This teacher gives us so much to learn. I spend about 5-6 hours every weekend just on medical terminology writing terms and definitions!

    I can relate w/not taking the Phen. I thought I had learned control until I forgot to take it and it was BBBAADD! lol I, too, didn't realize I ate so much until that happened.

    I had my coffee for breakfast and a turkey sandwich on a hoagie for lunch with a snickers fudge mini size. Felt kinda bad for it but I'm going to have my steamed broccoli w/light butter and lemon pepper for dinner yummmmm

    I feel so good right now! I got my shoes on to work out and said eh what the h e l l I went for a walk out side. I walked for a bout 5 mins then jogged for 30 mins and did a 5 min walking cool off! I was sweating like crazy. Then came home and did my weights. I did 3.1 miles total! and according to my handy dandy heart rate monitor thingy I burned 700 calories for all of it! Great way to start my day. Ive also decided not to take phen today and see how I do. I really want to be confident in taking 3 days a week off it so hopefully i wont get immune to it.

    Gotta do some google-ing now.

    Shoefiend - No I haven't, I have read about it though. I wonder if when you were taking it if it had yet to become generic? I know when meds are still under patent they are SO EXPENSIVE. I was debating asking him about that. I know some people have said it didn't work well for them but I up to using anything (fairly safe obviously lol).

    I got mine for free, hubby won it in a biggest loser type contest at work last year.

    Walmart has them online ranging from like $20- $300.

    I was shocked when it said how much I burned. LOL but then I figured out how far I jogged and how fast and it made sense. Im a happy girl today.

    ETA** I took my multi vitamin today and maybe 10 mins later I was throwing up! UGH! I feel fine tho. Its happened every time Ive taken it for the last week. When I dont take it Im fine... I called my dad to ask WTF and he laughed and said well looks like u need to stick to the Flintstones and princess ones.

    Xblack - I am not sure if it was new at that time or not...I would think probably since he had free month samples to give out. I would def ask your doc about, hey maybe he will have a free sample for you I can tell you that with the Meridia I did not have any of the same side effects as with phen such as the energy burst, thirst, etc...but I sure ate alot less, it really helped me with the appetite control. So even if you maybe just take it for a month during a phen break just to see how it works for you...if it doesnt work that well then go back on phen and have the feeling of just starting it again

    Mscasanova - Oh my gosh I cannot thank you enough for that advice!!! I just finished the shred...I put on my tummy ****** inner aka girdle and man did it help soooo much. The shred was much more pleasant to complete without my rolls flapping around uncontrollably

    Hey everyone!!! So I went to the dr! He was freaking overwhelmed when he seen me! He's like wow u look great how did u do this? And just on and on! Was a weird visit cause ususlly he jokes around with me but this time he was so serious acting and just kept looking at me like he was in shock! Not to mention he's a handsome surgeon lol! But anyways he had me lay on table and was feeling of my stomach and ugh it hurt so bad! Thank god my stomach was nice n tan lol! I wasn't so self conscious! But anyways he's like u don't even have much access skin and just kept saying how good I looked! Then I stood up so he can see all my stomach and we talked about having a Tummy tuck, he said he agrees I would benefit from one! Because he said with this surgery he has to open my stomach up
    again in the old scar, and since this hernia is attached to my belly button he saud he's gonna have to remake me another belly button sounds scary! He said this is a prety big hernia!!! Sooooo with that being said and since I want a tummy tuck to he scheduled me to see the plastic surgeon feb 10 then if he can write it all up as a medical nessesity where the insurance will cover it I will b going in for suregery in feb! They will fix the hernia then do the tummy tuck! I will for sure do before n after pics to show u all if I can get it done!! I'm praying I do cause my stomach looks horrible with the scars! Plus I found out today why my lower stomach is so flat but I have a huge bulge stomach above my belly button, it's cause my incision is pulling my stomach out he said! I could never understand why I looked like this! He said right Now my bowels aren't stuck, I just gotta b careful no bending or lifting! I'm gonna b hoping n praying that I can get this tummy tuck, not just for vanity reasons but for my self esteem and also to help me forget about what I been thro each time I look at all these scars! Sooooooo over all my day went ok, now just hoping the rest goes as planned! No surgery date until feb 10! That way the two surgeons can go in togather!!!!!! Thanx for all ur prayers n support and plsssss keep preying that i can get this tummy fixed)))))) taz

    That would be great if you can get both surgeries done at the same time, see it didnt turn out to be that bad but i know that you are scared i know i would be too...so a new belly button wow that sound weird you are going to have a different belly

    and when you get the tummy tuck done I want to see some pictures.

    Ohhh I will b soooo happy if I can get this done, just to get rid of the uguly scars will b so much relief! I will b nervous as ever but to no I will wake up with a new stomach would b so worth it! I will still have the stretch marks on my sides and stuff but oh well that doesn't matter to me, an amazing stomach will b awesome! while I'm in that dr office with the plastic surgeon I'm gonna just ask him whst it will cost to have my upper arms done and my thighs! Those would b the only other 2 areas I would love to have done some day! My arms especially! I loveee my dr he really cares about me and I'm just so comfortable with him, he's just done so many surgerys on me I trust him alot!!! Taz

    Ahhhh u no I will for sure b showing u before and after pics!!! I will b soooo happy if this dream comes true mayb I can wear a bathing suit this summer lol if I have a nice tummy! Oh and the new belly button scares me to death lol but I no it has to b done tho! I'm counting down the days until feb 10!!!     Wooohoo on the thirty min jog! That's amazing cause jogging is soooo hard! I can't wait until I'm jogging thirty mins straight! And wow burned 700 calories!! My goodness ur making me wanna go walk now! The dr said I can walk only no other exercise! But I found my 30 day shred DVD so when I'm all better I'm gonna start doing it 3-5 times a week! I'm ready to get busy on this body! My dr told me today that it's not impossible to tone up my body more' so that gave me some hope' taz

    Xblack that dieters tea is goood! And ur right the taste isn't bad at all! It's always worked well for me!!! I no what u mean about eating bad I been doing alot of that myself and getting so frustrated! Everytime I say today I'm not cheating I cheat! But I'm so not cheating anymore after today!     Shoefiend, sorry u been having a bad week, I hope things get better for u! Good job on the walking! I found my shred DVD so when I'm able to start it again I will let u no, it's soooo hard and the last time I did it I was sore for weeks! I'm looking forward to trying it again I have this air climber and u do a DVD workout with it and it has a stretchy band to use to! It's a very intense workout and I'm anxious to start it again to! I'm just ready to work out period'' yea the ring hubby got is very pretty everyone would think it's really expensive but it's not' I just love it tho !!! Sure he can give ur hubby some lessons hehe!!! I love some of the food ideas u gave poisonivy, I'm gonna have to try and find that book u mentioned it sounds interesting!!!     I think I did pretty good today! I took your advice and had peanutbutter toast and banana for breakfast. Had Applebee's Asian Chicken salad for lunch (490 cals), had an apple and sugar free jello mousse for snack, and a porkchop with broccoli/cheese for dinner. I don't think that's too bad! I hope! All in all, I think I'm around 13-1400 cal's today. That's more then usual for me, but I think it was ok. We'll see tomorrow! I also forgot to take my phen this morning and still did rather well, I think. So who knows????

    I was down .4lbs tonight. Sorry Taz...I was 281.3 not .2 on Monday. I was 280.9 tonight. I know I know...I should weigh in the morning. I asked my DARLING husband to pick me up a new 9v battery for my scale. Hopefully that's the problem with it! I had said in one of the other threads that it was so weird that my scale in my bathroom was going up, but the Wii Fit was going down! So someone suggested a new battery. So hopefully he doesn't forget. We'll see. He's closing his store tonight...so won't be home till after 10:30. He and I need to have a chat tonight, anyway, about the computer. It's been GREAT since we got it fixed a few months ago. It was FINE this morning. I got on here tonight and there's POP UP's GALORE on here! So I looked at the history and he'd been in websites that aparently have virus'!!! GRRRRRR MEN!!!!

    Anyway, I'm gonna check out a few more things and get bills paid. Talk to you all later!! Keep up the great work and thanks all for the wonderful welcome!!!!

    Good evening I hope everyone had a good day! Mine went pretty good. I got an 85 on my Medical Terminology Quiz and that was a lot better than most people lol so I'm feeling pretty good about that. I remember in high school I was so wrapped up in boys and going out that I didn't care about school at all! I never did my homework nor studied and I still passed somehow. Now that I finally decided to go to college, I actually care about it and I think I'm pretty good at it when I actually try! haha my GPA is 4.0 and I've got all A's so far so I've got to bust butt to keep it up and try to balance my work outs with my studying.

    I got out of class early so I went to the gym! I was so excited I got to go finally! I got on the treadmill for 30 mins and went downstairs to do ab, leg, arm, booby, and butt weights. I had some steamed broccoli with butter and lemon pepper for dinner yum! I had a hoagie sandwich for lunch that I felt bad about so I decided to have a carb free dinner.

    One thing that has majorly peeved me today (vent time)- I decided to get on a scale at the gym. I got on the one that has the bar at the top that you slide across. With tennis shoes and workout clothes, it said I was around 235. After I worked out, I got on the other scale that's a regular, non digital scale. It said I was 233! So I was super excited to go home and get on my digital scale. It said 236.4! So I drug out my other scale that's non digital and it said 234! So I got 4 different weights and that really ticks me off! I'm going by the one I weighed on monday (my digital one) before I go crazy! I have another one somewhere that measures your water and fat percent from the bottoms of your feet. If I get another scale to go by, I'll for sure need some professional help grrrrrr
