    SANDIE- yea, u definetly made me feel sad!! lol but, think of it this way...I started out at 249lbs on Dec 30 2009...not even 2 months later and Im down almost 35lbs IF u would have started when me and the others did, u would be right along with us! So dont be discouraged! Everyone starts somewhere right?! You are doing great and u could be in the low 200's by next month if u keep up the hard work! Keep ur chin up cuz we all need each other on here k?

    KRYS- If it werent for YOU and HONEY and RYRY and everyone else on here, I probably would have quit already, but having ppl that know what I am going thru and have so much in common with me, makes it so much easier to stick to. It makes me NOT want to fail just for u guys ya know?? Its like, u see ppl get all discouraged and quitting left and right, and then it makes YOU lose hope and think maybe its not really possible to achieve ur goal after all, but not this time...I WILL NOT GIVE UP becuz there are too many ppl depending on me to win this fight once and for all In May, Im supposed to go see RYRY in Illinois and do u really think I wanna go see her looking like a blimp?? he11 no lmao If I do good on our Easter Challenge that would put me at 195 by April 4th and then it would give me almost 2 more months to try and lose as much more weight as I can by May 27th!! I could be in the 170's by then if I keep at it!!! So I WILL. Oh, and the first places that I lose weight is my face and my chest. Im glad cuz I hate having a double chin

    Anyways, I once again, after burning almost 1800 calories last night and eating VERY WELL, I didnt lose an ounce! lol wtf?!? That is 2 days in a row of not losing or even gaining an ounce! lol ugh!! oh well, hopefully I will lose tomorrow...I wanna see 215lbs by monday!!

    wow i have been mia and missed a lot on this thread...

    NO TEX!!!!!!!!! u didn't see my post i posted a few months ago... i got a pair of prescription glasses for 15.00 (WITH SHIPPING)! go to www.zennioptical.com. they have frames from 8.00-20.00 (that includes the lens and shipping is 4.99).. i want to say bifocals were 5.00 more and i'm not sure if that was per lens or not but still an amazing deal!!! with my two kids i cannot justify paying a lot for glasses but these are scratch resistant and the frames are really well made.. they're made in china so it took 8 days to get them but so worth it! u just go to their website and enter ur prescription and the distance between ur two pupils i think average is 62 (and that's what mine is too) ur optometrist would know. anyway NEXT time u need a pair u should check them out.

    christy- if u make ur own bday cake... u can cut MAJOR calories and not sacrifice taste AT ALL.. if u use a box cake mix and use one can of diet soda to replace the eggs and oil.. i use diet coke in red velvet cake and chocolate cake, i've heard some ppl use diet sunkist in white or orange cake, diet cherry coke in cherry or chocolate cakes... also i really like to make cupcakes bc it's easier for me to control my portions that way (mini muffin pan is even better for mini cupcakes) and it's easier for me to package up and send to work with james the leftovers.. i know it S U C K S to see a gain when ur so close to goal BUT enjoy ur bday it's just one day of the year but those were some of my tricks.. i always make my own bday cake too.

    sandie honey dropping that 4 lbs sounds exactly right... our bodies retain water for different reasons and water weight doesn't usually creep up it adds on very quickly and thank god usually comes off very quickly... if u wake up one morning and ur sore from working out ur weight will probably b up bc u'll have water retention it has something to do with healing ur muscles but it will drop off rather quickly.. salt doesn't have calories but it can cause u to hold on to water too so if u have too much sodium make sure u drink a ton of water to flush it out... it's hard after just having a baby i know kaylee is 19 months and NEEDY sometimes i just want a cheeseburger and a baby sitter! good luck though u can do this!!

    ryleigh steak and baked potato isn't a terrible choice (on occassion) and a 4 oz portion of steak is perfect! if u got a sirloin or a filet or any really lean cut then ur decision was even better... i think potatoes get a bad rap i don't eat a lot of them now but my first semester of college i lost a ton of weight bc i was eating diff things for breakfast, subway for lunch, and living off grilled chicken/lean steak baked potatoes, and salads for dinner... it got old after a year .

    ETHANMOMMY- I DID get on that website, and becuz of my special prescription, even on there I was paying a CHUNK...First it took me a while to find frames I liked, but then when I did and entered my prescription, The price went UP! I was at $238 by the time I was done and I really didnt even LIKE the frames I picked out lol Yea, I know, Im picky lol and the distance between my pupils is 66...Its 33/33. So I actually SAVED $$ by going to a store rather than buying online cuz I tried MULTIPLE online places and they all wanted major $$...I just think its stupid that if I wanted my new prescription put into my glasses I already OWN, its $100 more than just buying a new pair...doesnt make any sense...Oh yea, and I also dont have normal bifocals..u know like for reading or whatever...I have mine strictly becuz of how BAD my eye strain($$) is so they arent the same as regular bifocals..I also wear no-line bifocals($$) w/ anti-glare($$$!) becuz I cant stand seeing ppl's reflections on my glasses and of course the scratch resistant($$) so when u add it all up, its expensive!! lol Oh well...I forked out the money yesterday so its already done lol

    Oooooh! Also, Im thinking about getting extensions lol I know...weird, but I miss my long hair and Im growing it out but its taking too long lol But, I cant afford it right now becuz to get real hair extensions that will last multiple months will cost $775-$1000..OUCH! lol Time to save up!! hehe

    ok yall im coming on here right now feeling VERY discouraged and in major need of some advice...i started doing the diet that Taz posted called mayo clinic (basically a low carb diet) before that I was doing just low cal and watching my portions and I had lost about 11 lbs in about almost 2weeks then i started this diet and dropped another 10 lbs in 12 days so about the same weight loss i guess...my question is Im really really tired of limiting myself to low carb and all this week my weight loss is pretty much stalled and had some water weight due to TOM but then i lost it and then i lost 2lbs but then i was up one lb this morning and didnt due anythng different....im getting so frustrated because no matter what i still keep seeing that d@mn 183 on the scale...it goes down and then up down and then up...i could totally understand if i was cheating or not doing what im supposed to do but thats not the case here...sooo do you think i should just go back to the low calorie way of eating and see if that helps any?? I really really need to see this scale move....its getting soooo frustrating....my motivation is every morning when i get on the scale and see a loss, when that doesnt happen after a few days and i know im doing good i get sooo discouraged....BTW i just got off TOM this mornin from last monday....coul that be part of the prob? any advice or tips yall have would be greatly appreciated!! thanks!!

    okay so i did the expensive extensions and it ripped my real hair out where i was trying to grow it out i was P I S S E D!!!! i suggest clip ins from sally... u can get human hair for about 80.00 a pack they're EASY to put in (look for a video on youtube) that's what i've been using for about 3 months now i love them..

    TOSH- first off, take a chill pill girl!! Its OK!! If u have been on TOM all wk, then yes, I would def say that TOM was halting ur weightloss in some way...Also, I have noticed that when my weight stalls, I have to change up my exercise routine or the way I eat...Like I was doing the BL dvd all the time and I stopped losing so last wk, I switched to doing the Just Dance Wii game and all of a sudden I have lost 4lbs this wk...Then, the past 2 days I didnt gain or lose an ounce so I switched it up again last night and viola! I lost .2lbs today..I know its not much, but its finally moving again at least right?? Your body gets used to what u do after a while...whether it be eating or exercising, so do something different today. Also, r u at ur lowest weight that u have been at in a while?? If so, ur body could be fighting to hold on to what its still got, so once again its that jumpstart that u need to get going again...Dont give up cuz this happens to al of us k? I know that when I get down to 183lbs, that I am going to struggle becuz that is the lowest I have been in years too..just hang in there We r here for u..

    ETHANS-Im just afraid of the clip ons looking fake and I dont want that...and everyone at the salons that I have talked to say they r easy to take out so idk...I want to do it, but I can also find better things to do with all that money lol We shall see...

    Also, after 2 days at a complete stand still, I finally lost .2lbs bringing me to the dreaded 216.0lbs lol UGH!! ONE MORE OUNCE IS ALL I WANTED!! I just wanna see 215 already!! lol geez!! maybe tomorrow..I better lose one darn ounce by tomorrow hehe

    Good Evening ladies... Its been a few days since i have been on. Well after my steak dinner I was up .5 so not to bad but this morning i weighed in and Im down .7 so Im happy with that I am at 183.3 so I am hoping that tomorrow weigh in i lose at least .4!!

    Oh and TEX your not suppose to come see me in may... YOU ARE COMING!!!!

    So I lost 6 oz this whole month! UGH! I guess I need to go back to being more stricter with my eating and exercising. What the heck is wrong with me??! Why can't I lose these last 15 lbs you figure I'd be estatic to lose them, but yet I'm here just doing this willy nilly?! Ugh. Shoot me.

    I am back at 140.2 again sigh. I knew seeing 138 on the scale was a tease. WTF. I'll see it again this week most likely. But I'm not going to hold my breath anymore. I also think I'm going to have to eat lesser calories again I bet I'll have to go to 1000 or less which I don't really want to do because I'm scared it will back fire on me. Grrrr!!!

    I just don't want to waste this last month of phen for 6 oz again so I need to do something to change this and fast! Sigh

    Good morning!!!! I am finally calm now! Life isn't as hectic, woo hoo!

    So, yesterday I finally got my convertable jogging stroller/bike trailer. I put it together and my daughter and I are going to go test it out today! I'm very very excited. I have wanted one of these from the time I was pregnant and my daughter is 15 months old and I was just now able to get one! Anyhow, I'm very excited. It can have a front wheel put on it to be used as a jogging stroller and it can have the wheel taken off and attached to the back of a bike for it to be a trailer that your child can sit in while you ride your bike. I'm so excited to try it out!!! woo hooo!! I'll let you guys know how it goes.

    Also, today I'll be working out again. One of my workouts will be the new toy I got, but other than that I do plan on doing some time with the Biggest Loser dvd.

    I hope everyone is doing great. I have missed you guys!!!!

    Christy - Take a breath...callmmmm down! I mean we would all LOVE to be at 140 and we are so proud of how far you have come. I mean you are looking so great!!!! We also believe in you getting those last 15 pesky pounds off whether you believe it or not! I know you can do it girl! Give us all you got!

    I hope it wasn't sounding like I was rubbing my weight in though. I'm sorry if I did. If anyone would have told me this time last year that I'd be 140 again I would have laughed in their face. I never thought I'd lose the weight ever! So I know you ladies can do it and you will see your goal weight! I have the utmost respect and am soo proud of all of you for working as hard you do to lose the weight. I look up to you guys! Really I do!

    Oh girl, you soooo weren't rubbing it in. I am so proud of you! I was just saying how I know I long to be at 140 and it's a big feat that you overcame not that you were rubbing it in at all!!! You are gorgeous, keep it up sweetie! I know I know I know by swimsuit season you are going to be rocking that body you have always wanted girl!!!

    Ok, I wasnt going to post, but I guess I need to. Its a Monday which means its a blah day And we might have a snow day again tomorrow so Im just praying that we do so I dont have to take my BIOL exam tomorrow lol For some reason I woke up at 2:03am and could NOT go back to sleep, so maybe thats why Im in a funk today...I KNOW Im exhausted. I also gained .2lbs today becuz I decided to eat out with the bf and kids for lunch yesterday and had a grilled chicken sandwhich..oh well, it will be off tomorrow

    WAITING-I really dont watch what KINDS of food I eat, its more of a calorie/fat/saodium intake kind of thing lol I do eat my fruits n veggies, but other than that, I will do eggs n bacon w/ toast for breakfast, tuna or turkey or low-cal soup or salads for lunch, and since I have been craving pizza lately (hehe) I will eat those DiGiorno 200 cal pizzas or Lean Cuisine pizzas for dinner and then if I have a sweet tooth, I will eat those Skinny Cow desserts that r oh so good! lol But it all varies really...And as far as exercise goes, I do anything and everything. I have 3 Biggest Loser Dvd's and aTaebo dvd as well as the Wii Fit Plus and the Just Dance Wii Game. So I will usually do at least 2-30min runs on the wii, along with an hour of Just Dance and either do another hour of Just Dance or do a 50min Biggest Loser dvd of some sort...Like I said in a previous post, exercise has become my "ME" time so I look forward to it no matter how tired I am...I dont feel like I fulfilled my day if I dont get in good exercise...I used to HATE exercise too! But once I got into it, I ended loving it...I am looking into buying more Dance Workout dvds too cuz the Just Dance game is so much fun...Its nice to have fun while u are working out Makes thing more interesting instead of boring!

    Tex: Thanks for sharing. You are doing such a great job. Keep up the good work! I joined the gym and sometimes I just don't feel like going. However, I see that you are working out to dvds so I need to stop making excuses and do something. I am definitely going to get moving again.

    Might not be the body I've ALWAYS wanted but it will be better then it is now haha!

    Christy - It's no worries darlin'. =)


    Ok, so when I got home from work I tried out my new jogging stroller/bike trailer in one. ONly thing is I cannot find my air pump for the life of me!!! And they sent the wheels deflated and the wheels on my bike are deflated. So, I did a practice jog with it and my daughter with flat wheels. Fortunately, there was enough bounce in the wheels without air that it really wasn't a big deal to have my daughter who is only 25lbs in it and go jogging. I ended up jogging and then walking, jogging and walking in between the speedpumps of our neighborhood. The dr. said the easiest and quickest way to tone down and gain "lean muscle" is to do spurts of 20seconds of super fast and intense cardio in between 20seconds of walking/calmness for about 10-15 minutes a day. It is like getting a 1.5 hour workout in if you do it that way. And it makes your heart work harder not knowing what it's "doing" so to speak since you keep going fast, slow fast slow and so you get more cardio benefit from exercising this way. And I was actually out of breath pretty good too after doing that around my neighborhood. Just like I would've been had I done the biggest loser dvd today. Also, another thing you can do with regards to strength training is use a medium weight - like if you normally use a 10lb then use a 15lb and for example with bicep curls you do the bicep curls over and over and over until you can't bring your arms up anymore. Then you set the weights down for a minute. Then do it again until you can't go anymore. Set the weights down and do it again and again until you can barely get one curl up. This will actually tone your body to have lean muscle a lot more quickly than any other way of sculpting. Hope this helps some of you!!!

    WAITING- I have forked out sooo much $$ for gym memberships only to NOT use them...I'd rather stay home than go out becuz I am a home-body! Dont go out on wknds really, nothing! So I bought a bunch of different dvds to keep me active at home and at first, I would blow off exercising at home becuz it was "the easy thing to do" I could always do it later, but later would never happen. So its a personal vendetta to me to really lose this weight once and for all and stop making excuses for being fat. Oh its stress, or depression, or my kids driving me insane..yada yada yada those things I would always tell myself...Not anymore. Im never going to look or feel good with the way I am now and I know that so Im doing something about it. Something CLICKED inside my head this time around that made me see the big picture. I am serious about this and will stick to it no matter how long it takes this time. No more head games for me. and THAT is what keeps me going

    Christy- All of us here post about our weight because we are proud of how far we have come. Dont ever feel like your rubbing in our face. you have worked hard to get where you are.

    Today was a much better day for me... I was down 2.0 lbs That brings me to 182.3 and 37.2 lbs lost. I am gonna try my very hardest to be down to 150 by the end of may when Tex comes to see me. I think if i stay focused i can do it.

    I was 139 this morning.. I didn't get to workout as long as I wanted but I did the hula hoops on the wii and some other running games. So I think I'll do that again today and try to get in a longer workout. My goal this week is to workout everyday this week. I think I can do it.

    Ok week 2 weigh in has me a little down! I guess week two myth of any diet is true...I don't know if any of ya'll watch the biggest loser but, usually week two is when they have some really disappointing numbers. I think it is because the body is trying to adjust to the dramatic weight loss from week 1. Week one I lost -8.6lbs...so that is alot. This week I only lost -1.8lbs, almost two but not quite. I'm happy I have a loss this week, but I was really hoping to see at least three to five lbs gone. Well onto week three, nothing but positive thoughts!

    I could have swore that I posted here yesterday..... Perhaps I am losing my mind. Hmm.

    Anywho, these hormone pills make me feel like I am pregnant, but with cramps, followed by menopause symptoms. I sure hope the bloating goes away. I am going to run today, it will probably be a challenge due to the cramping, but hopefully it will make me feel better. I am determined to not gain anything but water weight while I am taking these pills (I would rather not gain any, but I feel bloated and my fingers are swelling just a tad). Only 15 days left of these ******s... I hope it does what it is supposed to do.

    So yesterday my co-worker (who recently moved to a different department but still works for the same company) called me up and asked me to go for a walk around the park across the street. This was totally out of the blue, but sounded like a great idea.

    Him and I used to take afternoon breaks and we called it "chocolate-thirty" because it was usually about 2:30.

    Lots of things have changed since then, I don't eat chocolate on a daily basis, nor do I caffeinate the way I used to.

    I am going to call him up in about a half hour and ask him if he's ready for "walk-olate-thirty" I'm kind of wondering what his reaction will be.
    I think he started a new trend he just doesn't know it yet.
    I do not condone the use of any online websites to purchase Phentermine without a prescription. As far as I know this is illegal. I obtain mine only through my doctor.

    Today's run was brutal and disappointing.. I only ran a mile. It felt like my legs weighed 100 lbs each, I was winded after just a short time into it, I wanted to cry.

    I'm taking a break from the phen, so today's run was without it and it ****ED! I hope it has some to do with the hormone pills too. But I can't put it all on that. The other days that I ran without the phen, I didn't run as far either or I didn't run at all.

    This is really going to be a challenge, I think. I am disappointed but I am not discouraged and of course WON'T give up but I hate that the phen is what gives me the extra UMPH to run farther. I have to search for that feeling without it because of course we can't take this stuff forever.

    dont have alot of time just wanted to pop in here and say hi..read everyones updates Honey thanks for the tip....im going to try that today. Well i posted the other day how the scale wouldnt move past 183 no matter what i did...well guess what?? i switched to low cal and watching my carbs instead of no carbs and i changed my excercise a bit and hopped on the scale today and it was 181!!! woohoo....gotta get into those 170's!!!! ive only had a bowl of cheerios with 2% milk and half a banana today....about to go and eat a little yummy veggie spaghetti i made yesterday....and drink my water. I hope everybody has a great day and a great loss!!!

    So recently i bought a new workout dvd from walmart. I got the drop the inches, hip hop dance party. I love it. It doesnt feel like your really working out but boy can i feel it in my abs, which is good since i hate sit ups lol. Just thought id share! Now time to go for a run!

    I have been doing levels one and two of the 30 day shred then 40 minutes on the elliptical each night for about a week now. So last night after level one I thought I check out level three... and wow. It was insane. It looked fairly easy... and was going OKay until they started jumping after like EVERY move! I am waaay to fat to be jumping around.

    Needless to say I did finish it... but there was no way I was going anywhere near the eliptical! I hurt so bad this morning when I woke up that I almost called out sick from work. haha, sad huh?

    I have not weighed myself in about a week... so who knows how much extra working out has effected the scale.... if anything it's made me feel great!

    Im not sure if I already told everyone, but I signed up to run a 5k the first week in may, for my 27th Bday. Everyone thinks im crazy... I probably am... but its been SO motivating!

    Sandie- Dont let other people discourage you. If you keep yourself thinking positive then you will succeed. It gives you something to work towards.

    Waiting- your welcome I really do enjoy doing the hip hop one but oh boy does my stomach hurt afterwards I love mixing up what Dvds I do so that way I dont get bored. So far my favorite ones are the Hip hop one, the biggest loser cardio max, and the taebo : billys favorite moves!!!

    Hey everyone! I have been a bit stuck for a few days. I am hovering at 217ish. However, I am leaving for the weekend in Chicago tomorrow. I will be on my own, and going to a technology conference for teachers. My hotel has a nice gym, pool and sauna. So, am I setting a goal to use this time away from home to really focus on exercise. Its SOOO hard to get it in at home. My little one HATES when I am working out (she is just 10 months). I will be back Friday night. I want try and be down to 215 by the time I get home.

    Sandie: Congrats on setting such a great goal. Don't let others tell you what you can and can't do...just use that as more motivation to get there

    Tosh: I think that your change was a good idea. It seems like when I tried no carbs, if I EVER had one carb it made me gain like a pound the next day.

    Justa: Can you take water pills with it? Sometimes I take them a few days before TOM to help with the swelling.

    Ninic: Don't feel bad. 1.8 for a week is great

    RY: 2 pounds in a day WOW! Did you do anything different yesterday? You are doing great!

    Tex: I am glad to NOT be spending money on the gym right now too. I am so glad the wii and stuff I have at home are working for me. Plus, I live like 15 mins out of town, so a trip to gym would be a several hour process for me Oh yeah... when you go see RY, you will prob pass by me in Southern Illinois LOL.
