I think that we must be going through the same thing, I have been a royal b*tch the last fews weeks I just want a little time to myself, which seems pretty much impossiable with five kids running around..... It just dawned on me lastnight when I went pee and couldnt even finish before my husband and four kids where literally in the bathroom with me asking me where this is or that!!!! Then when I tell my husband thag I need just a mintue to myself he says thats why you work and go to school! Really are you kidding me ! Im with the kids mon-fri , with class MTW 6p-9p. Then I work Sat and Sunday
6am to 11pm, 34 hours in 2days is exsausting! But Im rambling on my point is that I made me a nail and hair appoitment Monday and am so excited!!!Oh and th EA Actives is a good game to have you will enjoy it!

Ladies, you all seem to be doing great! Keep up the good work!

Hey everyone!

Had my first official weigh in with the Dr today

And the verdict is.... -20 pounds for my first 28 days on Phen!!!! My Dr was blown away. He said it was really rare for him to see someone take it this seriously. Blood pressure was looking perfect, so he told me I don't have to come back for another 2 months.

I want to lose 15 pounds in Feb and another 15 pounds in March. That would put me in one-derland right before my next check in. I am alone for the night

So I am gonna go do a little extra workout right now. Will check in with you tomorrow!

I feel ya on the mama needing a break. It's been nice having my husband around these last few weeks tho. But he leaves again for a week or two then he'll be home for another week or two then gone for a few more months. I haven't been on because I'm just doing horrible and it's pointless to come on here and keep saying I'm in a slump when I'm obviously not doing anything about it. UGH

But a girls got to vent.

Wednesday we came home early so that we could beat the snow storm and when we were about 5 miles from home our truck broke down. Yep nice. Our transmission went out. AWESOME.

We were planning on saving our tax refund and then saving money from my hubbys checks to get us a New used SUV. Well yeah that didn't happen. So now we have to use all of the refund to buy something. ugh. So I'm going to be car less for a week waiting for our money (we are filing in the morning whew) oh well maybe I'll workout instead of making excuses and going places I don't need to go.

I can tell I need to get back to working out so I don't feel so dang lazy and so I can tone up and finish losing this weight. You would think these last 16 lbs would be gone. Yeah nope. sigh

Anyway everyone looks great and is doing great!

(Tex have you tried the 5HTP? I've been taking it and so far I think it's made a big difference. You can get it at Wal Mart.)

Anyways, good news

I lost another 1.5lbs today, bringing me down to my lowest weight of 224.9

woo hoo! so that means now that I am back on track, I have lost 1.1lbs so far this week..I still have 2 days left to weigh-in so I can make good progress this week still!! I have lost 11lbs out of th 17lbs now so 6 more to go!! In 2 days?? haha not gonna happen but I can try!! I gotta go get my hair did now so I'll be back on later..

Tex- Its a natural supplement that is supposed to improve your mood. It also says on the bottle that it helps curb appetite too. I didnt see any difference in my appetite though just my mood.

Happy Sunday everyone!

Does shoveling snow count as cardio LOL??? We have about 6 inches here this morning. SO, I have been playing all day with my 2 year old. Its so pretty!

Well, I had the house to myself last night. I rented a bunch of movies and walked on the treadmill for a while as I watched them. It worked out pretty good. I wasn't even paying attention to how long I had left to walk.

After my DRs appointment yesterday, I splurged and had a 3 Musketeers (loves those things). So, I wanted to be sure and burn enough calories to get rid of it. I was down -1 pound this morning

So, I am glad it worked.

That puts me to -21 for January and -12 of the 17 to lose with HONEY and TEX. Think I can lose 5 more for tomorrow???? Yeah, prob not LOL. But it was a great challenge!!!

Hey gals! So I have missed a few days on the posting.... I've been busy with dr appt's and some bad weather came in so I have been cooking, cleaning, etc. and since we don't run trucks in bad weather, I had to get all caught up on month end stuff on Wed.

So the mammogram went very well. Doc says my boobs are in great shape (well, other than they sag too much for my liking). She says that since I have lost weight, that I am now able to feel things I hadn't been able to feel before. What great news! I was so relieved. Later that day, I had an ultrasound on my "oven" and found I have a cyst on my ovary. The nurse says it's no bid deal and gave me some meds to take when I start my next period.

I only ran once this past week (on monday). *sigh* But the good news is that on Friday, I weighed in 184. So that is 31 lbs lost! Not too shabby.

So I have cooked up a lot of low cal food since we have been snowed in. I finally got out and about today, but I made some enchiladas, chili, and chicken noodle soup that's low cal and pretty good.

Tomorrow I will finish it up with some apple pie things that are supposed to be low cal.

I hope everyone has had a great weekend so far. I have just skimmed over the posts (sorry ladies), but I noticed some had gained a lb or so, but seem not to be discouraged. I say we all seem to be on the right track. I have done well with not cheating

but I have had some high cal bevarages the last few days, but only two.

I hope you all are enjoying your Saturday evenings.. I will check in on Monday!

I would say shoveling snow is a great workout! On Christmas Eve, we had a blizzard and I shoveled up a storm around then. My arms were sore! I hope to do some shoveling tomorrow as we got another 6 inches on top of 2 inches of ice!

Ok, so I tried not to laugh, but..... LOL!!!! I sooo know the feeling. I can just picture you getting your 45 seconds of peace and quiet when suddenly the troops come barging in! I haven't taken a nice quiet bath in sometime. They have been 15 min quickie showers with the door wide open because my 4 y.o. is in and out and when I am in the shower, that's when both of my little turds like to argue. But I sure love them though.

I have the phen rage, so much so that I went to a med plus doc (quickie appt with no emergency) and said I was too stressed out. He put me on celexa and clorazepate. It seems to be working alright, but I wonder if I need something stronger than celexa because I can still get pretty agitated. The Clorezapate helps, it's a weaker form of valium. Some days I don't need it, but it sure helps on the days that I do.

If the agitation is too much for you, then maybe talk to your doc about an anti anxiety/anti depressant like celexa.

WOW, Everyone has had some pretty hilarious posts on here! Thanks for making me laugh you guys. Totally feel you ladies on not having some personal time or just some down time from the kids. My daughter takes up all of my time and I'm a single mommy too so I totally understand.

Well, I weighed in today and I am down to 206 - WOO HOO! Then I got to meet my guy/friend/date I told you guys about! Woo hoo! Anyhow, he came over and my friend watched my daughter for me. We went to eat, to the Kimball Art Museum and to The Modern Art Museum. It was a blast. We had a great time. I wanted to go grocery shopping before I went to pick up my 14 month old because she doesn't really like grocery shopping. She gets bored rather easily. So he even went with me to do that without even minding at all. Ladies, I tell you - he opened all the doors, gave me his coat, warmed my hands up by blowing on them and rubbing them in between his hands...very sweet! And one thing I LOVE from a man is if he takes charge as the leader. So he planned the entire day of where we were going and everything. It was really fun.

Ok, well I am going to weigh again on Monday and I might not be on here tomorrow so I hope you all have an awesome Sunday!!!

haha ughhhh I have the bathroom problems too! I have 2 boys and a cat that just have to have my constant attention and Im not kidding, I cant go pee w/o the cat all over me meowing all over my legs wanting me to pet her, and then the boys come running in fighting or just wanting to know what I am doing and they sit there and stare at me lol Then there is the shower...My cat has a freakin fetish with the shower lol She KNOWS when Im getting in the shower so she darts in the bathroom and jumps in the shower like she wants to take one with me until I turn on the water and she freaks lol Then she just stands on the edge of the shower playing with the shower curtain, meowing her butt off becuz she really wants in the shower and then the boys are constantly coming in trying to get a peek at their nekked mother (yes, they are at that age, 6 & 7, that they are curious and its embarrassing lol) so I just have NO PRIVACY at all lol Even if the boys go to their grandmothers, I still have the cat to deal with! lol oh well...I DID get my hair done yesterday though and the boys were pretty good so I took them to Chuck E Chz after...Im fixin to post a pic of my hair when I get a chance today...

So I ran for an hour and a half yesterday burning 804 calories and I lost 1.4lbs today

bringing me to 223.5lbs and losing 12.4lbs out of the 17 so I have to lose 4.6 more to meet that goal! lmao BY TOMORROW! haha yea right..but maybe I can lose at least one more or so by the morning..crossing my fingers!! Man, the more I think about it the more I get p1ssy becuz if I didnt GAIN that 3.5lbs and LOST that instead on top of what I already have, then I would have probably met that goal! grrrr! lol Oh well...anyways, I hope everyone is having a good wknd!!

TeX- Wow girl you look incrediable in your updated pic, you can really see the weight lose showing in your face ! Keep it up girl your such an insperation.

Honey baby- I would dif be planning on the 2nd date with your guy, opening the doors thats one in a million theses day! And congrats on the 21 lbs so far YEY!!! Keep it up!

I go back to the Dr this week for my weigh in , and a new prescription although I havent taken my phen in two weeks or so.. ... But I think that I'll start it again. Wish me luck with the scale, Ill post afterwards!

So I was a little irritated with the final weigh in for the week.. I only lost 2.3 lbs this week. I should of pushed the plate of homemade cookies away, but no i found myself eating them so this morning i weighed in and it was .4 higher... So the cookies went into the garbage. So lets hope i can lose at least 2.9 lbs this week to bring me in the 180s! Keep up all the great work ladies. Now time to kick butt working out lol

So, Im gonna really watch this week what I eat and how much I exercise so I can have a good loss next week...

I successfully didn't gain this week even though my husband brought Oreos into the house. Man what am I going to do with him sigh. lol

I lost 1 lb from last week so this week I'm aiming to get it higher. I'm going to try to to workout more this week and drink plenty of water and see if I can lose more. I mean after all I have 20 days before my birthday and I want to be close to goal. I'll take 135 or a little lower though

Just gotta be at goal by June 5th though.

On a bummer note though I have to wait longer for my money then planned

We were supposed to get it today but they said the bank denied our RAL loan because of our Child Tax credit

Which is bull crap. Oh well I guess.

I weighed and I was still 206 so I guess I lost 11.5lbs. That's ok with me! I'm totally ok with that.

Congrats Tex on how well you did!!! Keep it up girl. I wish I could lose like you are! Your hair looks really cute!! I need to get my hair done too.

Shawn - That was so sweet of you. Thanks for the encouragement. I totally don't know if I'll go back out with him. He wants to, but I'm not sure if I am ready to date or not. I was thinking of my daughter the entire date, but still had a great time so I am not sure if I am ready to get "involved" with someone. We'll see... Very excited at the possibilities!!! Keep us posted on what the dr.'s weigh in says!!!

Ryleigh - You still did great! Don't beat yourself up! 2.3lbs is amazing!! You'll do better next week, just keep your chin up.

Christy - I have to wait longer for my income tax return too, because I didn't get mine in by the 11am cut off point for the last distribution date so it's coming in this friday..when I expected it last friday. Totally understand that one.

I got my tax return on friday!! I filed Jan 15th and received the child tax credit and education credits and got a hefty chunk too and still got it friday

Honey- Don't rush into a relationship if you aren't ready. You are absolutely right that your daughter comes first and she most definitely should. The problem with so many single mothers is that they get so obsessed with meeting a guy who will be a father for their child that they forget the most important thing that their child comes before any guy. I have a friend like that who drags her 2 year old out on dates with all these guys she met online and stays at their house with her little girl! What does she think? It makes me really sad and disgusted to think about what she does. Anyway.. I'm just glad to hear that you're putting her first

When the right person comes along, you'll know it and if he's mister right, he'll understand you wanting to not rush into anything.

I'm down to 232.2 this morning. Lost .4 since yesterday so not too bad. I'm hoping to go to the gym again today because I have my monthly weigh in at the doctor tomorrow

Hello everyone

I am home sick today. My little one has pink eye, and I think she has passed some of it to me. I just don't feel right.

Anyway, I was super careful yesterday and got in all my exercise. So, I was down one pound today. That gives me a loss of 21 pounds for the month and 12/17 for the bet with HONEY and TEX.

Didn't quite make it, but I am still proud

Next part of the Friday Challenge is that you should try to beat the previous time, mileage, or pace by at least a small percentage on this coming Friday.

I didn't get to check in over the weekend, but it was definitely busy. Did a good workout this morning, and I've done well with my water intake. I did a little reading over the previous posts...and I can say they gave me the laugh I've been needing!! (Thank you--it's saved a small piece of my sanity for sure
)

Ugh its just so frustrating because there is absolutely no reason why it should have been denied. And I need a SUV I have no car right now. The tahoe runs but it wont go over 35 and will only work in either 2 or 3rd so yeah no driving it. Oh well I never go anywhere often enough anyway so I guess I should be ok. Let's just hope it comes in on the 11th and that either my husband is back by then or the lady lets me sign for him

Okay so i think i pulled another freaking muscle in my neck. It hurts so bad. I have been putting ice on it and took some advil and some icee hot but makes me so mad cuz now i cant do my biggest loser dvd tonight. I sure hope this doesnt hurt my weight tomorrow. How the heck do i keep pulling these freakin muscles. Seems like i pull one every week lol.

I still stuck at my 178-180 plateu. I think I'm continuing to build muscle, I just wanna see the scale move DOWN! I'm kinda thinking I won't be able to make my VDay goal of 170

However, some of my friends and classmates who haven't seen me in a while kept complementing me this past weekend about how small I've gotten. So that's a PLUS!!!

CHRISTY- just a heads up...I work for a CPA firm and we are head over heels in tax work right now and my boss has told us that the banks are cracking down hard on RAL loans. They wont give them out if there are too many "CREDITS" on the return. Becuz sometimes the bank will accept an RAL loan and give it to the person expecting it, but then the IRS will come back and say that ur return was denied or that u arent getting as much as u anticipated so then that leaves the bank stuck trying to get $$ back from you that wasnt urs in the first place...It can be hard to PROVE to the IRS sometimes that u DESERVE and/or QUALIFY for these tax credits and you would be surprised at how often this happens. Also, if the RAL u r requesting is higher than say, $5,000, and the bank has never worked with u personally via personal loans or car loans, they are more likely to deny u as well becuz they are taking a high risk. Banks are much more cautious now with the recession and all these banks closing k? When did u file? and has it BEEN ACCEPTED by the IRS yet? Whatever the date was when it was accepted, add 10 business days to that and that is when u will get it. The IRS only releases funds on fridays too though, so if ur date lands on a monday-thursday, it will be that following friday that u get it k? hopefully ur bank wont hold the funds too when the IRS releases urs.

So, I am down .5lbs today bringing me to 223.0lbs I cant wait to be below 220...3 more freakin pounds...UGH! lol

DIMEDIVA- Is 178-180 the lowest u have been in years?? I ask becuz the lowest I have been is 182lbs in the past 3-4yrs and every time I hit that number again, my weight loss stops. Its ur bodies way of telling u that u need to jump start it somehow to get over that hurdle...I cant remember WHY it does that, but its normal and can be broken though

Good morning ladies. I hope you are all having a wonderful day today. I did check the IRS's website regarding my return and they cannot pull up my information. However, I did my own tax return filing through H&R's free website. And it shows that they've accepted it, but that's it... I am just hoping it's here by Friday or Monday otherwise I am screwed for next week...

It's ok though, because the Lord always provides so I cannot complain.

Amber - I did last Friday's challenge of 60 minute with you guys, but I didn't post that I was doing it. I think this Friday's challenge is a good one. I guess I'll just have to get lower on those squats and lunges...man.. When I first started doing those my knees hurt SOOO badly, but now they don't hardly hurt at all when I do them.

Tex - Krys - What sort of challenge should we set up for? Something by February 14th? Maybe 8-10lbs? What do you two think? That was fun except that I kept having issues, but hopefully now everything will be ok!

hey ladies! hope everyone is doing well.

christy- i have been filing taxes at the same place since i was 17 and i'm 25 now! so for 7 years (the first year i wasn't old enough to enter into a bank agreement) i've been getting the ral from chase bank.. well this year it was denied.. we have good credit and there's never been a problem before so idk y this year it didn't go through.. my accountant said it might have something to do with us owing state taxes every year but we pay them every year too. for some reason my husband's job doesn't hold out quite enough state taxes.. last year we owed 900 then we told them to take out more so this year we only owe 95 which is definately an improvement but geez! kentucky taxes the heck out of u! they have to make up for the fact that our sales tax is so low and there are no taxes on groceries in ky so it evens out i guess.

so as far as weight loss goes it's going really good actually! we've had some "issues" at my house that just kind of makes me not want to eat anyway.. last night the family wanted pizza and i got one of those little cocktail shrimp rings from walmart and it was like 100 calories for the whole ring. i ate a couple pieces of it and then ethan finished it.. haha only my son would rather have shrimp cocktail than pizza!! such a weird child!

kaylee is doing another pageant on the 13th so i'm really excited about it.. i ordered her dress off ebay last night. i had just spent a small fortune on the one she wore for the christmas winter wonderland pageant and i was gonna make her wear that one again.. but i found this one for $50 and i LOVE it.. here's a pic:

do ya'll think that's too casual for a pageant?

welp i hear her moving around in her bed so i guess i better go get her and head off towards the gym. i'll talk to ya'll soon!

HONEY- I already have a V-day challenge going on..It started last week or so for me and I chose to lose 15lbs by V-day...I have lost 4.5 of those pounds so far so I have another 10.5lbs to lose so if u wanna join in on it and lose 10lbs by then we can sure as heck try right?!

Really I just wanna be at 215lbs by then which would mean I need to lose 8lbs to succeed...whatcha think?? I also got a little February goal going on in my signature..I have to do a certain amount of abs, lunges, squats and running by the end of Feb...wanna do that too?? u know u can do it

KRYS and everyone else can try too if they want...I just wanna push myself hard this month. I know I did good for January, but thats was becuz I had just started this journey and water weight comes off easily so this month is different for me

My original goal at this point is still to lose 10.5lbs by V-day so Im gonna shoot for that, and u dont have to choose the same amount. You can do 7lbs, 4lbs, 15lbs! lol Whatever u feel is a reasonable goal k? And I just started yesterday on the February Challenge I have set up so u can set ur Challenge to be minus a day so u arent behind if u want OR if u think u can catch up, DO IT! lol

Oh and ur doc is retarded...My doc had the opposite attitude. She was ecstatic to see how I do next month! Some ppl lose faster/more than others, especially if they have more weight to lose. She should be happy for u that its melting off..UNLESS u arent eating right and doing something that u shouldnt be ya know?! geez...maybe shes jealous hehe

Ethansmommy - I think that dress is too cute! I love it, definitely eyecatching and only 50 bucks?! That's a REALLY good deal lol I've heard pageant dresses can get SUPER expensive.

Im not sure what is going on with my body... For the last 2 weeks it seems like Im just not losing and like im stuck at 192. I only have 3 lbs to go before i reach my valentines day goal and well Im not sure im gonna make it there. I am so irritated and mad. I dont know what else to do diff. Im hoping that its because i pulled something in my upper back/neck area and haven't really been able to workout to much. So I guess we will see what next week will bring.
