    hi ladies hope everyone is doing well..

    sorry i wish i could be mrs. positive but i'm here to vent!!

    i never go to the gym in the evenings bc i don't really like the girl who is in the nursery at night but this morning i had to file my taxes and the daycare is open a few hrs in the morning, then closes and reopens in the evening so i had to go tonight... well i'm in the gym doing my thing and the girl from the nursery comes in and says "we have a problem with kaylee," now kaylee is only ONE so i'm thinking she's fussy bc she didn't get a nap OR maybe she fell OR maybe she used the bathroom and it was up her back and on her clothes or something like i really didn't know so i clean off my machine and run in there.. where the girl proceeds to tell me that "kaylee isn't being very nice to the other kids." apparently kaylee had a toy and another girl wanted to play with it and when they tried to make kaylee share, she started crying... okay i'm all for my kids sharing but when u take a toy away from a ONE year old baby to give it to another child what do u think she's going to do?!? ethan my 4 year old is my aggressive child, kaylee is very passive and usually finds one toy to play with and she's quiet and plays.. the ladies in the morning never have any problems out of her.. i was P1SSED! i knew i better leave or i was going to blow on that girl and then be banned from my gym! i'm there six days a week and have been going for about a year and the supervisor of the daycare works in the mornings and i definately plan to go to her in the morning.. BUT first i want to ask u ladies, tom is here so i want to make sure i'm not overreacting. i know most of u have kids so what do ya'll think??

    I would of been mad that I had to stop my workout because they cant do their job. They shouldnt take a toy away from a kid and give it to another child. They should of told the other child that when she was done with it they could have it. I def wouldnt want her watching my child.

    Howdy Girls!!!

    ethansmommy23...I would do exactly as you said!! There has to be some other reasons of why this chick "rubs you the wrong way" and I would go in and talk to the manager in the morning. Just tell her you're not trying to start trouble, but these are my concerns ___ ___ ___. If she's a good boss, she'll understand where you're coming from. I have a one year old, as well, and I've had the problem with kids doing the same kind of thing to Lexie. She gets upset and cries, too. What pisses me off more is when the other parent just stands there like it's no big deal! UGH...hello! I'm right there with ya girl! Stand strong!!!!

    ok...not really venting, but needing some encouragement, I guess. It's really sad that I've only been doing this for about 3 weeks. Today was the start of week 4! I REALLY wanted something different to eat! I searched through a bunch of websites to see if I could find any good recipe's to try for dinner and such. Obviously, I need to find things low in carbs...especially at night. I was so bummed today that I REALLY wanted Taco Bell. I didn't go, but I REALLY wanted it!!!! I ended up coming home and eating a sandwich on my low cal/carb bread with mustard, slice of cheese, and fat free turkey. I also had a dulce de leche sugar free cup of pudding. All in all...I think I'm at about 1310 cal's for the day. I ate peanuts when I got home, too! They were dry roasted and no salt. I thought that I wasn't doing too bad! I got on the Fit tonight and I was up 181.2!! I wanted to CRY!!! I did the fit for 30 minutes and I had to come back here and read your posts to make myself feel better!! It's so frustrating and stupid for me!!!! I need to go grocery shopping, but I don't know what to buy!!! Tomorrow's going to busy busy at work, so I probably won't have time to look for recipe's and even if I do, I get so frustrated! Advice please???? I feel so pathetic that I look at all of you and you started a short time before me and I have no excuse!!! I've eaten pretty darn well in three weeks. I think I've only veered twice! UGH....just UGH!!! Sorry all!!!!

    Anyway, I need to go read, check on rugrat, and go to bed. Hubby's at a board meeting for our homeowners association, so I could really just crash!!!

    Default First Time Poster!!

    Hi Everyone -

    I have been following the posts for about 3 weeks and have been on Phentermine since January 7th. A little about me: I was married for 9 nine years and have a beautiful almost 7 year old son (been divorced since he was 2). I quit smoking 3 years ago, turned 40 a year ago and, I'm sure you all know where I am going with this, gained 30 lbs. without blinking an eye. Have had all of the tests, hormones, thyroid, etc. and they say all is well.
    So, fast forward to today...first week on Phentermine, I lost 10lbs!!!Yeah!!! Week two has not gone as well, only about 2.5lbs. I have only been eating about 600 - 700 calories a day. I am thinking that is too low. I could use any advice anyone will give me.

    PoisonIvy, here's a website I've been referred to. It's got 100's of low carb recipes with pictures, ratings and any adjustments or suggestions she has. It's a lady who runs it, and it's a very nice site. To make it covenient it's broken into categories and then subcategories whether you need only poultry or ground beef, etc. I can't wait to try some of them.

    Welcome Christilo!!! Great to have you here! Yes 6-700 caloires is WAY too low. Most doctors tell you to eat around 1000-1200 calories on Phen. And to especially eat during the morning, afternoon hours while you are awake and don't eat at least 2 hours before bed. Also, be sure you drink half your body weight in water. Helps with drymouth and any headaches. I think your body is wanting to go into shut down mode this second week, because of the lack of calories. If you boost it up some you will see some awesome things start happening with your weight. Hope that helps!

    Tex - I am weighing tomorrow naked and I'll let you know how it goes. I am also going to weigh with my night clothes which is most of the time what I weigh in unless if I forget and I weigh in my work clothes.

    I weighed in at the doctor's office and I am generally 3-4lbs heavier in the afternoon. His scale and my scale are equal and I weighed 213lbs in the afternoon. I cannot wait to see what I will be in the morning.

    Thanks Honeybaby!! My doctor told me to take my pill 2 hours after I eat breakfast but not much else. For the last couple of days I have upped my calories to be closer to 1000 a day. We'll see what happens!! Thanks for responding to my post. I haven't told alot of people that I am taking Phentermine to help me lose weight, so it is nice to have people to talk to about it.

    600 Calories... Your body needs more then that. Also the first week your on Phen, most of the weight you lose is water weight. Realisticly 3 lbs a wk is a good amount to lose on phen. Try upping your food intake, make sure you are drinking enough water and are you doing any exercise?

    Hi -
    Yes, I have been taking 3 - 60 minute kickboxing classes a week. I have also been jogging on the treadmill about 40 minutes 2 times per week. I usually try to drink at least 3 - 32oz weight watcher cups full of water a day. I definitely think that I was putting my body into starvation mode.
    Hard to wrap my brain around the fact that I need to eat more to lose weight!!

    hello ladies,
    I just wanted to check in with everybody, I have been reading all the post but havent really had much time to reply, we had a busy weekend with all of the kiddos and then work was hectic today. Ev, erybody is doing sooo freakin good...its so nice to come here when I am feeling down and read all of your post for encouragement and see that others are going thru the same thing as me.
    Tex....you are doing sooo great!!! you have really given me the inspiration to finally start working out. I started doing cardio last week and have done it everynight, then tonight I worked out for the first time on the gazelle for about 25 minutes and I have to say that I feel great!!! hopefully the scale will reflect that tomorrow morning.
    Ethansmommy...you have every right to be mad...you are not overreacting I would be p1ssed if that had happened over my child, you def need to talk to the supervisor tomorrow.

    Well so far I am down 12lbs since 1-13-09...we are going out of town on friday and i was hoping to be at 15lbs by then maybe i can get to it or really close....lets hope so. My phenrage has gotten sooo much better, now im only getting the headaches and a little bit of dizziness.

    The only other problem i am having is my wonderful hubby being not so wonderful, I never thought i would say this about him because he is such an awesome guy....but I think me losing weight is bothering him. We have always dieted together and this time I started without him and stuck to it, in the past it has been too hard to diet with him because he never wants to stick to it and always wants to cheat. So I just decided to start on my own and have stayed strong this whole time and not veered or cheated once, and I think he is resenting me for it. He told me that i was being a little selfish in expecting the kids to have to eat healthy all the time...WTF?? is it really going to hurt the kids to eat healthy??? So I finally talked to him about it and he admitted that he did have a little resentment and he felt horrible for feeling like that, that he knew he should be doing this with me but just wasnt ready yet and it bothered him to see me doing it without him. It just really really ****s not to feel like i have him in my corner....I know he is proud of me because I heard him bragging on me to our friends the other day...anybody else ever dealt with anything like this?

    Hey Tosh- I can relate to you in the husband department. Well its my sisters husband. Everytime she starts to lose weight he starts to resent her for it. She finally had a talk with him about it and what it came down to was him being insecure. he thinks that she will try and find someone better once she gets thin. As for the kids eating healthy. It wont hurt them but benefit them. We now have our 4 yr old daughter eating alot more healthier and she has gotten use to it and likes it. i think it teaches them the right way to eat for life. I let her have mcdonalds once in a while. I still think they need to be kids and have unhealthy stuff too, Just not all the time.

    So this morning i weighed in at 194.0 I was down 1.1 lbs!! for some reason once i hit 200 the weight has literally started to melt off. I never thought i would lose 26 lbs in one month. It is a lot of hard work and dedication but you guys are such a big help and checking in her daily keeps me focused. Thanks and hope you guys have a great day too.

    UGHHHH. first off, since everybody else is venting right now then Im going to too lol My freaking student loans were supposed to come in yesterday, but they didnt. So after calling, and calling, and calling the school, I had to go up there and find out wtf was going on. There was a "glitch" in their system so some ppl arent getting their funds right away they said...BUT, she looked mine up and said "hmmm, urs have already been released so u should get them today still and if not, then definetly in the morning" guess what?? No funds STILL! Ugh!! I was depending on that money to pay bills!! and such This is so annoying...I went from working 40hrs a wk, to working 25hrs a wk so yea, that money is a big part of my life right now...Anyways

    So I lost .5lbs today putting me at 225.5lbs! I didnt get to work out as hard as I wanted to last night becuz my rugrats (thats putting it nicey right now) were up my a**, twisted in my intestines, and coming out my nose last night..hehe every freakin 5 seconds, I would have to pause my dvd to yell at them or seperate them, or whatever...I finally just quit the dvd after about 10-15min of this and waited til they went to bed and then I did a 20min run...But today I plan on locking the kids up in their room with a dvd to watch while I exercise lol They usually know the consequences for interrupting me when Im exercising, so I dont know what had gotten into them yesterday So losing that .5 today brings my total weight loss for the 17lbs to 10.4lbs and leaving me with 6.6lbs more to lose...Hope I can get there by monday!! lol

    RYRY- ur weight really is melting off all of a sudden lol U used to complain to me that MY weight was coming off fast, now look at u! Im jealous! lol Im so mad that I gained so much extra weight cuz we used to be the same and just thinking that I could be right there with u makes me mad that I let myself go so much, but I will be there soon enough 25.5lbs to go till ONDERLAND! Keep it up girl k? I need my buddy to be in this with me for the long haul! MUAH!! ::kisses:: lol

    ETHANSMOMMY- girl, I would have told that chick OFF!! lol WHen it comes to my kids, u dont mess with them, and especially since I PERSONALLY know how my kids behave since they LIVE with me 24/7, I would know if my kid(s) were acting up like she said or not ya know?? lol I would have told her to give my child the toy back and get over urself lady and gone back to working out hehe...but thats just me lol

    TOSH- I know when I first started working out my legs and butt and arms hurt soooo bad...I just wanted to give up every time I tried working out, but I didnt...and although it is still hard on me doing the Biggest Loser dvd and such, it is SO good for me and the scale and my measurements tell me so! I feel my day is not complete anymore if I dont get exercise in...and it might take a couple of days for the scale to really start reflecting ur weightloss cuz ur jump-starting ur body k? But once u get going, and u keep it up and dont cheat, ur weight will drop daily I promise! I only weigh daily becuz of the wii fit plus game...It wants me to weigh-in daily to keep track of my progress.

    CHRISTILO-Everybody's bodies are different, so the amount of calories u consume will depend on how u feel...I probably rarely get up to 800 calories a day and that works for me becuz I have tried eating around 1000-1200 and when I do that, my weight starts going back UP instead of down, so u will figure out whats good for u sooner or later by playing around with the amount u consume k?

    Anyways, off to work...I have class from 11-3:30pm today so I gotta get my butt in gear!

    ethansmommy - i worked in a gym daycare last year for almost a year as a second job (can we say free membership?) and i don't see why the girl came to get you. we would typically only go get the parents if there was a serious issue, like a kid getting hurt or needing a diaper change (we weren't allowed to change them) or crying for a really long time straight or whatever. sounds like she should have resolved the issue herself and not bothered you. the last thing we wanted to do when working there was bother the parents (if we could avoid it). maybe a conversation with the manager might set your mind at ease, or at least provide insight as to how the daycare should work and/or provide you with a chance to voice your concerns. good luck!

    Tex- OMG I'm so glad I'm not the only one who can't eat 1200 cals and still lose!! I see everyone on here talking about it saying you should eat that many and I'm like woww I would so gain if I had that many cals a day!! I usually have around 600-800 and I feel just fine with it!

    and wow I never heard of unsupportive husbands but that does make me wonder if that's why my fiance hasn't said anything to me about noticing?? I am down 16lbs and my pants fit so much different but he hasn't said anything! Do you think it could be for the same reasons????? That would really **** if he wasn't backing me up

    Ok, so I am so incredibly happy today I cannot even tell you how wonderfully happy I am!!!

    Tex - I weighed in today with and without my clothes. With my clothes I was 210!!! And without my clothes I was 209!!!! I am pretty sure I lost some of the water weight from TOM over the last two days and it is awesome!!! Anyhow, I am so excited!!! So that's 7.5 lb loss for me since I've been weighing with my night time clothes on. I am so extactic!!!!!

    Ok ok enough of that.

    Southern- I don't know why your hubby hasn't said anything. Maybe since he sees you everyday its harder for him to see the change. No one really noticed a big difference in me until just recently.

    Anyhow, can't talk long so have a great day everyone!

    Thanks Tex- Last year we were at the same spot with weight loss but we both looked at it diff. This time is diff. We both let ourselfs go but now we are back on track and you know we can do this. You are doing great and dont be mad at yourself, you cant change the past but only improve for the future.

    SOUTHERN- Being as heavy as we are, I think we are gonna have to lose a little more weight than 16lbs for ppl to notice...I have lost 24.1lbs and NOBODY has noticed lol I know its becuz I am carrying around a little more weight than others so it will take time to actually SHOW in other ppl's eyes...I KNOW that in the next 15-20lbs that ppl will notice though..it just takes time

    HONEY- I told you there was a big difference on the scale when u weigh without clothes! A pound is a pound! You dont weigh at night do u?? U keep saying u weigh in ur night clothes so I just want to make sure u arent weighing in at night cuz that is when u weigh the heaviest!

    Morning everyone!!!!!

    Just wanted to come here and see how everyone was doing...I am soo sleepy today, hubby has been snoring terribly lately and keeping me up every hour or so, so I tried to sleep on the couch last night so now I am sleepy and incredibly sore. So tonight I am wearing earplugs and if that doesn't work he is sleeping on the couch!!! lol.

    Honey: CONGRATS!!! thats awesome!!!! Im so excited for you, I also weigh in the morning with my nighttime clothes still on...maybe Ill try the naked thing and see if there is a difference for me.

    Tex: did you here anything about your loan? hopefully that will come thru for you today.

    Well lets see...I weighed this morning and I am down another 1.4lb from yesterday so I am only about 2 lbs away from the 15lbs I want to lose by friday....hopefully I can do it. I am going to try to go about 10 minutes longer on the gazelle tonight ( I really love that thing!!)

    Tex - I weigh in the mornings. That's why the dr's scale was about 3lbs heavier because my appointments are after work for my weigh ins every month. I weigh right after I wake up and go to the bathroom.

    Tosh - You crack me up!!! My ex-husband used to snore soooooooooo loudly it drove me crazy! I would literally push him over to wake him up and quit snoring. Then 15 minutes later he's snoring again! You are doing so awesome on your weight loss!!! You go girl!!! I'm so proud of you!!!

    Christina- I would be soo mad too. Deacon my 1 year old ( i think our kids are close in age, july baby here) has an absolute fit when his brothers take toys from him. You would think they were dismembering him haha. But I can't believe they would have tried to take the toy from her, I tell my boys to give the toy back til his brother is done playing with it. Ugh!

    I still can't get very motivated, but I need to be. I'm going back home probably Thursday night ( to a nice winter storm I might add ) so I think I'll do better then. I've been here a week and still have yet to hook up my Wii. Man it's going to yell at me bad! haha

    Sorry I haven't been around as much and that I don't chat as much. I guess being in this rut just makes me silent. I still read everyone's posts though. Everyone is doing great!

    He might not know what to say because he doesn't want to hurt your feelings by saying the wrong thing, and having you think he didn't like you before. Maybe you should bring it up? Make it safe for him to say what he thinks by letting him know you won't take it the wrong way or something. I've just been noticing a lot with guys, that they would rather say nothing than risk having what they said hurt your feelings when they never meant it that way. Not every guy, but some for sure are like this.
    I do not condone the use of any online websites to purchase Phentermine without a prescription. As far as I know this is illegal. I obtain mine only through my doctor.

    southern- my husband is completely oblivious to weight... it was great when i was heavier but when i was losing he never seemed to really notice.. he got a tad bit jealous for a minute bc i'm kind of obsessed with hair, makeup, clothes, tanning and all of that but once i reminded him that i've ALWAYS been like that (come on i used to get spray tanned when i was nine months pregnant) and it has nothing to do with the weight loss or wanting to find another man, it was just my out of control vanity he was fine.. i also have to eat UNDER 1000 in order to lose or it's just not happening for me... i usually burn 700 with just cardio at the gym but if i eat like 1400 calories i actually gain!

    tex- we had a problem with the remainder of my hubby's student loans too... he thought after the school took their cut for this semester we'd get the left over, but for some reason the school just applied to his next semesters tuition. then they acted like they were doing him a favor!!! no the way we have his loan set to disburse they would have gotten payment for next semester when it starts. ugh p1sses me off!

    well the supervisor was not at the gym this morning so i didn't get a chance to talk to her but i'm definately going to.. poison ur right there has to be a reason why she rubs me the wrong way.. she doesn't have kids and she doesn't really seem to understand kids at this age so maybe she's just better suited for the older kids room.. idk.

    anyway i better get off here and get my potato soup going in the crock pot!

    You know i was just thinking about it and I have lost 26 lbs and NO ONE has noticed either. I wish someone would lol and I still havent gone down a size in pants wtf?!?! just irritates me! how long before the change will be realized?

    Hello gals... I have sort of skimmed, I am swamped at work and we have a big winter storm moving in and that means we will probably shut down Thurs and Fri.

    I went to my Gyno today and she isn't concerned about the lump. I had to really feel around to find it and she said it felt like the normal lumps and glands. She told me that since I am losing weight that I will feel things that I wasn't able to feel before. Plus, the lump is in an area where there could be scar tissue due to an injury a few years ago. But I am going ahead with the mammogram tomorrow morning to be safe. I also have an ultrasound later in the afternoon to check for endometriosis. Don't know how I am going to pay for all of it, but I need some piece of mind and no more painful periods.

    I have done well on my eating, mainly because I have been scared and nervous. That's the ONLY good thing. I weighed in at 185 and that's exactly a 30lb loss since August. BUT my official weigh in day isn't until Friday.

    I hope everyone is having a good week so far. Mine just got a little better, Monday ****ed for me! Anywho, let's all keep up the good work and don't forget to take a minute to count your blessings

    Ladies: Don't worry about no one noticing if you are losing. If people see you everyday, then they may not notice, or just not pay attention. I'm sure there are lots of reasons, but who knows.
    My man friend doesn't really say much. But the first time he did, he was checking out my rear and noted there weren't anymore dimples. Wasn't that sweet of him to say? LOL.

    Justa- LOL I guess that's just how men are! I'm not going to say a word about it to my fiance and see how long it takes him! He knows I've been eating healthier and I correct him A LOT when it comes to foods he THINKS are healthy ... like he bought me some fruit cups from the store trying to be helpful and they have 26g of sugar per cup!! He didn't notice the ones I got were sugar free!! It's okay.. he tried. but those fruit cups are his!

    I've noticed that my 16lbs didn't come off of my waist much. It mostly came from my thighs and butt! I guess weight comes off differently and not really evenly :-/ I just hope my boobs don't go!!! I *finally* made it to a C cup and i'm scared they're going to deflate when I lose weight I'll have to get started on those boobie exercises haha

    No one really said anything about my weight loss til just recently. Of course I don't see a lot of my family often so one day I looked pregnant and the next I was skinnier! LOL People will start noticing and then you'll feel great!

    First day...

    So I know Im fat. I know I have to buy xxl clothes... but I DIDNT know until today that my 26 year old *** cant even do jumping jacks anymore! Im so pissed I could just cry.

    What a wake up call. Its no longer about wanting to look good. Im 26 and cannot do as much as my 2 year old.

    How did I let it get this far?

    Sandie its okay i have a hard time with the jumping jacks too. I have bad knees ever since i was preggo and gained to much weight and now my knees kill. I try to modify them if i have to do them. You dont notice how out of shape you are until you are pushed to exercise. Keep up the good work and it will improve with time.

    Thumbs up The Benchmark results are in!

    [B] Hello hello! Hope everyone's doing well today and so far this week! I am pretty stoked about my first benchmark weigh-in (keep in mind that it was done in the AFTERNOON after lunch and after drinking a ton of water all morning long)! Dropped 10 lbs since I started on the Phen!!
    I know it's early to be getting too excited, but that's pretty significant for me since I've never been able to drop more than a few lbs in a longer span in comparison. Something is finally working !!! I've managed to nail down a good schedule as well, balancing the synthroid and taking the phen in the mornings...still dealing with the insomnia though.

    Reading up on the posts from the last day or so (I know I didn't get a chance to jump back in yesterday)
    Hopeful- I didn't get a chance to reply to you from your words to me, but your strides are definitely inspirational.
    On the taking notice of the lost weight--people don't really see it much, and even then most people (especially the significant others) will usually want to be polite by not mentioning it right away.
    Personally, my boyfriend is comfortable with me no matter what, but he's also supportive of my lifestyle changes and of me all the way around no matter what happens.
    Overall, when one person starts to notice, you can guarantee that everyone else is picking up on it!
    Justa--got a chuckle out of your post about the missing dimples!!
    Sandie-- I understand your frustration believe me. I'm pretty close to you in the starting weight department except for the abilities...but last year around this time I was just learning to walk again after having surgery for an ankle rebuild...just starting to walk again with a cane and a brace was tough, much less jumping jacks. I had to do it a few years prior for a knee reconstruction too. Start slowly. Set your next goal, and pick your head up!! You'll get there. If you'd like a few ideas on modified exercises, I can give you a few I learned in PT that are low impact and work really well to build core strength.

    Good morning everyone!

    Ryleigh - I haven't went down a pant size either after losing 22lbs, but I do notice that my hips are the only thing holding my pants up now!!! I will have to drop a size here soon. I am guessing by the time I am 200lbs I might be able to drop a size, becaues that will be a 35.5lb loss at that point. Keep it up girlie.

    Southern - I wish my weight would come off my thighs! I like my butt though so I don't want it to go away. My thighs used to be really muscular in high school, because I did stunt rollerblading and did it everyday. But, after I got into a big accident on a half pipe I had to stop rollerblading, because I was too scared to get back up there and do it again. Well.... next thing you know my muscular thighs turned into mush! Now, it's taking FOREVER for the weight to come off of them! I even do a ton of cardio and squats and lunges with the Biggest Loser dvds. UGH! I don't even like to wear shorts anymore.

    Christy- That's crazy no one noticed your weight loss. You look amazing I can totally see how much you've lost!!! Then again all I have to go off of is pictures whereas family sees you on a more frequent basis.


    Sandie - My knees hurt so bad when I do my Biggest Loser dvds and they ask me to do jump rope or jumping jacks. I do the modified jumping jacks and for jump rope I run in place and do the jump rope motion with my arms.

    Maybe when you were doing the 30 day shred and miss perfect looking Jillian was telling you that 400 pound people could do jumping jacks you probably felt worse. I know I did.

    I'm not sure that kind of motivation works in every situation. Yes you can do them regardless of your weight, but there is a difference between being fat and being in shape. My father is one of those 400 pound guys who could do jumping jacks. He has a very physical job. I could not do the jumping jacks very well when I did that video.
    So... instead of letting Jillian tear me down, I decided to work on stuff I could do. Can you walk? Do some walking. Maybe you can't walk a mile even, do what you can. Celebrate what you accomplish. (Think positive thoughts, wow I walked a half mile, I am awesome. Tomorrow I'm going to try a little more.)

    I know it sounds silly but it works. Try one jumping jack or maybe 2, next day try just one more. I started out doing elliptical doing just one song worth of time. That is about 3-4 minutes. People on here are talking about doing an hour of cardio then the 30 minute shred, and I was doing my 3 minutes. So what? I'm not them. So over time it has increased, and I can do a lot more now. I'll get there.
