    This thread is actually just for myself, although I would like others to comment whenever they feel like they have something to say, or advice to give whatever...

    I don't know if anyone else has ever done this, but I want to keep a constant record of my progress on here, but I also want it to be open for everyone to see. That is one way I can keep myself on track. I hope no one minds my making my own personal thread either.

    I want to keep track at least once a week of my weight loss and eating and exercising habits. Having others see what I am doing will make me want to work harder. This will also be a place I can look back at and see what I was doing, what worked and what didn't work.

    Today I weigh 159.2 My weigh in days are Saturday, which will also be the day I track what exercise I did for the week and the average calories I ate a day. I will do this in the manor below. I will not post exactly what I ate bc it will take up too much time and space. If anyone ever wants to know, feel free to ask. I'm starting on week 12 bc that is where I am currently on this cycle of Phen.

    WEEK 12...

    Weight 159.2
    Exercise - 3 hours 12 minutes (4 days) treadmill mostly and some crunches one set of weight training on my arms.
    Food average of 1200 calories/day

    I will also add any out of the ordinary things that may have happended that might have affected my habits, i.e. holidays, finals etc..

    As I said above, I hope no one minds me doing this. I really think it will help me. Thank you for understanding.

    oops I forgot!

    Week 13!

    Weight - 156.7 Down 2.5!!!
    Exercise - 2 hours I only worked out three days!
    Food - Still averaging 1200 calories/day. Sometimes a little moe sometimes a little less!

    Tomorrow is my update or week 14! I will remember this time I hope lol!

    This week was really good! I was worried I would be up because of Christmas but I ate good most days and I am down 1.9!

    Weight - 154.8 (-1.9)
    Exercise - 2 hours 10 minutes
    Food - average of 1200 calories still!

    I should have updated this on the 2nd, but I have much better news to update today so I'm glad I forgot lol.

    This past week I did really good, until New Years Eve which I drank alcohol and ate too much junk. I was down 1.1 on Thursday morning but friday morning I was up 3.3 from there so a total increase of 2.2! By saturday morning it was down 1.5 from the day before so i had my first gain of 0.6 total!

    As of this morning, my New years gain is gone and I'm down to 153.2, which is my lowest weight yet!

    I went to the Dr. this morning and according to his scale I have lost exactly 70 pounds since starting this in September of 2008!!! (only on Phen for 6 out of 15 months) I was stoked. The Dr. and nurse went on and on about how great I look and how good I am doing with the exercise and everything.

    My husband I then proceeded to the mall where I tried on a size 10 pair of jeans just for shits and giggles. No intention to purchase because we are broke and I really needed bras. THEY FIT GREAT!! I knew I could easily get a 10 on but they gave me muffin top so I would never wear them. Today NO MUFFIN TOP! There was actually even some extra room in them.

    I could not possibly have had a better day but then I did! My husband had a big beer with his lunch and forgot we drove the jeep (standard) which I cannot drive. So, we had to kill time while he sobered up and we went to another store just browsing when he saw a nice sexy underwear and bra set he liked. he had me try it on and well, we spent more $$ than we should have! Not only did it fit but I have to say I looked pretty good in it.

    With the day going as it was I was super motivated to work out so when i got home I did! A total of about 2.5 hours of exercise today, not counting all the shopping time. An hour of it was sled riding but it all counts!

    So other than new Years Eve, my calories/day have maintained about 1200. I have kept up with my minimum of 3, starting this week 4 days of exercise a week and my weight is still dropping! Now I'm really looking forward to seeing what the scale says next week!

    Tried on a size 8 today, just for shits and giggles. I wasn't giggling though. I had to lay down on the bench in the fitting room to zip them up lol. I knew they wouldn't fit, I just got into a 10 and only in some brands at that, but I wanted to see where I stood. I never wore a womans size 8. I went from girls cloths to a womans size 10 and it wasn't long before I was a 12. That was where I stayed through most of high school and then it was all gain gain gain from there.

    I imagine I need to lose another 10-15 pounds before an 8 will fit me good. I'm not sure though because it seems the lower you go, the less you have to lose to drop a size. I'm pretty sure it's because the size difference is smaller and because at this point I'm losing more inches than pounds because I'm gaining a lot of muscle. Either way I'm happy because I can clearly remember trying on my friends size 7/8 jeans when I was in like 7th or 8th grade and I couldn't get them zipped up at all. So, I'm happy to know I'm smaller than I was then. Now if only the baby sag wasn't on my belly, my body would actually look good!! Still have much work to do I guess.

    This isn't my sceduled update day, but I wanted to post this to remind myself of when it was. I weighed in at my lowest yet this morning at 152.6. My next mini goal is to be in the 140's by January 19th when school starts back up. I think I can do that. It means losing at least 2.7 pounds! I'm determined.

    I always forget to update this lol. Well last week I did really good and I had a great loss. (See ticker and Signature).

    Not sure how this week is going to go yet though. My eating over Sat and Sun was bad!! Really bad!! I'm actually sorry to even have to admit it, it was so bad. I'll update tomorrow about my weight because I was unable to weigh myself until 10:00PM tonight so I wont have a true weight until tomorrow morning.

    Ok just as I promised I wanted to update that my true weight increase from the last couple of days is 0.9. I don't like it, but I know I will have it off before my official weigh in day as well as a little more so i can see a loss. i will be working hard to achieve this this week.

    That's exactly what happended!!! I am so happy too because today I only weigh 150.8 which is lower than I was before I even went to WV and it gives me a loss for this week already! I'm stoked! I was 151.7 on my weigh in day

    This sounds insane, I know. But it is kind of fun. I did this way back when...a billion years ago, I lost 50 lbs. I wanted to be in a size 8. The pair of jeans I had I could only get on up to my thighs. I don't know why I think the way I do, but I grabbed a big stinky permanent black marker, pulled up those jeans while standing up as far as I could and put a fat black mark on my leg right where the top of my jeans hit. What was more rewarding than the scale going down was my jeans, AND that BLACK MARK going up! Those jeans hung on my bedroom door and I put them on once a week until I was actually able to wear them.

    That's not crazy I was thinking of buying a pair of jeans in the size I want to get into and try them on once a month till I can get into them but keep them hanging in my closet for motivation. I love the way you think!!

    Well it's Saturday again! I had a rough week. I only exercised 3 days this week even though I promised myself I was going to do four but I'm not mad at myself because I think considering the week I've had 3 days is very acceptable.

    My eating this week has not been good either but I also think that has worked as a shock to my body because my weight has gone down by 1.6 pounds this week regardless. My weight today is 150.1! My goal is to be 149.9 by January 19th so I have three days to meet it and I think I'll be able to without problems which makes me very happy

    My next update will be on Jan 19th so I can let everyone know if I reach my goal.

    Sorry about your rough week. Doesnt it always feel more accomplishing when you have a bad week but still lose? It is for me.

    It does feel rewarding but sometimes I feel like that's a bad thing cause then i can't seem to get out of the funk. I'm like, well I lost anyone so it must not have been too bad, yet I know it was.

    I had to force myself to exercise tonight but once I did I felt great about it. 60 minutes on the treadmill and 200+ crunches and some leg lifts etc..

    I need to get back into it before I lose it lol.

    Well today was the deadline for my back to school goal. I didn't meet it
    I am very bummed about it but it will help kick my *** in gear I guess. I was so close to reaching it too. I made it all the way down to 150.1 but then gained!! I still have until Saturday to get this gain off at least. Hopefully I will reach my goal by then at least. I will work hard to that is for sure!

    Exercise tonnight was 40 minutes (2.35 miles) on the treadmill and 20 minutes (1.33 miles) on the elliptical, as well as my usual 200+ crunches, leg ligts and back leg lifts. I also did the usual weight lifting for the first 1.25 mile on the treadmill with 2 five pound weights. My weight better be down tomorrow!

    I think I am starting to come to a plataue in my weight loss but I am hoping I am still dropping inches at least. I will be doing measurements tonight and then I am going to make a habit of it every Saturday when I weigh in.

    I will admit I am stoked that I can wear a medium shirt in Aeropostle cloths!! Not all the shirts are medium there for me, but I did buy 4!! All my shopping yesterday i refused to buy anything larger than a medium. i have some room to shrink in them all without them looking sloppy but they also all look good now too.

    The best part of my shopping trip yesterday was that I fit into and purchased a size 8 levi brand jeans from the salvation army!!! I know it's possible that they have been stretched some but I don't care! They say size 8!!!! I can no longer wear 14's but I do fit into 10's and 12's good. That said, at aeropostle, I had to wear size 13 still. Only place I have found like that and so I refused to buy them lol.

    Thats some good exercise! Is that how long on each you usually do?

    I read that if you do interval training on either the treadmill or elliptical you will burn more and helps get off that plateau in the same amount of time you usually spend exercising.

    I did it with walking and jogging and in 2 weeks I lost 7lbs. Maybe its coincidence but idk. I walked a nice pace to warm up then jogged for 2 minutes then walked for 3 then repeated the process for 30 mins. Something about getting ur rate up then letting it slow then getting it up again burns cals better.

    Personally inches are more rewarding to me... I have always said idc what the scales says as long as the tag on my pants is a good number. LOL

    Arent levi's awesome? I love them they are so comfy. Aeropostale is one of those place that run small. My sister is a size 3/5 but there she wears a 9 i believe. Dont let that get you down. Your doing amazing

    I have lost 3 inches since January 7th, so thats two weeks. I really thought I would have lost more but I'm still happy with the 3. My weight is down for the week so far but I didn't eat good today. I had a reuben for dinner and some fries Then we also had ice cream and to make matters worse...I didn't exercise tonight either.

    I'm not too mad at myself though cause I have exercised 3 days this week so far and as long as I exercise tomorrow I will have met my four days of exercise goal. I also did do the wii active this morning as well, so in reality I did do 20 minutes of exercise.

    To answer your question, yes my regular exercise is what I mentioned above. I usually walk on the treadmill for at least 40 minutes and do 200+ crunches, leg lifts and holds, back leg lifts, and the side leg lifts. I was also doing the wii active before all that but now I am doing the active in the morning to get my blood moving and kick start my matabolism. I don't always do the elliptical but I am going to try to make a habit of that as well. I work my arms with 2 five pounds weights while walking durning the first mile of exercise.

    You're right, you do lose more calories by putting intervals in your cardio workout. I can't run much though. I was trying to get myself to be able to run for 2 miles straight but it was so hard. I found myself dreading my exercise because I didn't want to run. So I told myself all i was going to require of myself was walking a minimum of 2 miles at 3.5 mph and a level 4 incline. Now once I get into that I often keep going and end up walking 3.5 miles.

    I have great nrews for my update today! I have lost 2.2 pounds this week and I am FINALLY under 150 pounds!!! I also took my last dose of Phentermine today, so I'm going it alone from here so wish me luck! I have decided not to ever take phen again either. Not because I don't believe in it or anything like that, but I have to prove I can do it myself from here. I also have to prove that I can keep it off without phen. I look at it this way, if I do gain the weight back then I didn't do what I was suppose to do in the first place. I don't want to take a pill for the rest of my life. Phen was only meant to help me get to the point I am at now. It's up to me to keep eating right and keep exercising. I need to know that it was me that got me here and not Phen. I believe I did this and so I have to prove myself right now. I plan to take pics of myself tonight while out with friends. I will post them in the morning.

    I also want to thank all my phen friends for all their support too. I don't plan to ever stop posting on this site so I will be around to give and recieve support forever. Thanks Again!

    You are doing so good!! This was a good idea, we should all make a little thread of our own for our thoughts and goals and a way to keep up with yourself as we get to follow your progress, good idea!!

    I love the pants too small ideas. When I was losing on Weight Watcher's a few years back I had a pair of jean that were one size too small and I took my pic each week of trying to get them on. I was almost in them, starting a new job and never did get in those dang pants!! Instead I gained 40 pounds in 2 1/2 years and now working back to those same jeans!! I guess I should get them out and start the pics again.

    I used to post everything on that freeweb site, I guess I should get back on that again and update everything. I thought once I lost my weight then I would post it for the public to show my struggles. That really is a good idea, a lot of people from WW had one too. I think it is www.freewebs.com or something like that.

    Anyway, you look great!!

    Hey everyone!

    I know it's not Saturday but I feel like I need to post this week’s progress. As of right now my weight is up 1.3 for the week. I'm not happy about it, but I also know that tend to lose a big number the last day or two of the week so I'm not going to get all upset until I see what the scale says on Saturday. Last week I dropped more in 2 days so hopefully I can do that again lol.

    Saturday night I went out with my hubby and some friends and had a great time! I did get really pissed at the bartender though. I was drinking water all night ONLY. I told myself on New Years that I was only going to allow myself alcohol once every 10 pounds lost cause it makes me gain 3 and then take a week to get back down. So since I have only lost 8 since then I decided not to drink. The bartender asked me if I was PREGNANT!!!! My friend and I looked at each other and then turned to her and were like WHAT!!!!! I was so bummed because I was feeling so hot in my new small cloths. She quickly backtracked and said she only asked because I was the only one not drinking and was only having water to boot. I explained that I had lost 75 pounds and just didn't think alcohol was worth it anymore lol. After that the night was GREAT. I have NEVER gone to a bar without getting trashed! I have always felt so self-conscious. This time I not only didn't drink, I got up and sang karaoke too!!! I had so much fun and without an ounce of booze! I was so proud of myself.

    More good news in my life is I got a job!! For the last three years I have been doing research to help pregnant women quit smoking and because of our research we recieved a $40,000.00 grant to do a pilot study designed to target pregnant woman and their families and help them quit smoking. So I am going to be sortof like a case worker for these families and help them achieve their quiting goals! It's awsome cause I would have done it for free because I care about it, but it's NICE to be getting paid now too. It's only part time but the pay is double what most ppl around here make so it's great. Also I'm still in school so i really wouldn't have time for a fulltime job. it's also temporary but that works out perfect too cause I'll be off to graduate school around the same time that the job ends.

    So my life is going great right now! I couldn't ask for much better that's for sure! Now if I can only get a call from a grad school I'd be on cloud 9, but that doesn't happen until around May I think lol.

    I'm going to be busy so I'm really going to have to try to maintain my weight loss goals. I really appreciate all the support I get from you all here. Thank you all so much

    Im proud of you too!!! Thats so good that you didnt drink and had the confidence! I am so scared to sing karaoke! Everyone likes my voice but once Im standing up there with the mic I FREAK out! Maybe when I get close to my goal I will have enough confidence to get up there like you did.

    WOW Good for you about that job. A job you have a passion for even! Thats so great. Im glad everything is working out for the better!!!

    Good Luck with getting a call. Im sure you will be over the moon when it comes. And I think your right May sounds about the right time they make decisions for the Fall.

    Default One week off Phen

    THANKS FOR THE CONGRATS CAS!

    I will have to say that I bet the first few days off Phen are the hardest they're ever going to be. I had such a hard time those first few days! I am feeling much better about it now though.

    My weight for this week didn't change at all! Today is my weigh in day and I am exactly the same weight as I was last Saturday. I'll admit I would have liked to see a drop in the scale but I am happy as a clam to not have gained! Especially since I had a loss of 4 1/2 inches this week!!! So I must have lost fat regardless. I could tell in my cloths that things were pretty good lol. I bought so many new clothing items over the last few days lol. My current size is an 11 in l.e.i jeans from walmart in the juniors section. I'll take it because when I first started I was wearing a size 20 in stores like Lane Bryant! I couldn't even think about cloths in the juniors section and now I'm wearing them!

    I have multiple sizes in my cloths though based on brand. I have ONE pair of size 8's which are Levi's, but I have not wore them yet because you can still see my muffin top in them. They are my smallest pair so I am working down to them. I also have a pair of Old Navy slacks size 10 which fit really good. Most of my cloths fit best at the 11/12 sizes, but I do have 2 pairs of jeans that still say 13. One of those I really shouldn't wear anymore cause they are just getting too big and saggy after about 30 minutes, and the other pair must be cut smaller because they still fit really well. Like I said on an earlier post I would have had to buy a 13 in Areopostle if I wanted to buy jeans there.

    My shirts are getting much smaller. 99% of what I buy is a medium, however I have bought a few smalls. I got a jacket the other day that is an XS!! I'll admit it is a little small on me but it still looks great so I'm thrilled!! The other coat I bought in the Fall for this winter is a large and is already way too big! With all that said, I bought a bunch of tank tops to wear under my cloths from the junior section at Walmart the other day and they are all large so whatever lol.

    So anyway, Things for this week are good and even though I didn't lose pounds, I did lose inches and that's more important anyway!

    The average american woman wears a size 14.
    I NEVER thought I'd be happy to say I AM BELOW AVERAGE!

    P.S. Ladies, when reading all of the above, I want you all to remember that I started this journey at 224 pounds! I am only 5'2" tall with a large frame. I spent the last 10 years of my life over 200 pounds and even before that, I went through high school weighing from 165lbs - 180lbs! I tried every diet ever and nothing worked for me! I went from little girls cloths to a size 10 womans in Junior High. I NEVER wore a size 8 ever and was only in a 10 for a short time. If I can do this, I promise you that anyone who doesn't have a medical condition preventing them from losing, CAN DO THIS if they really want it bad enough. Tell yourself, and ONLY yourself (if you're ashamed) why you want to lose and then you will find what motivates you the most and you will succeed.

    YAY for being below average! AND losing 4.5 inches!!!! Thats so good. I just showed my hubby your pics and he goes wow she looks good! No one can say it doesnt work if you try.

    Dont juniors run small? Or is it just me? LOL I dont remember the last time I wore juniors... Well other than my levi's. Which are a juniors size 17. Cant get in them yet but soon!

    Meduim shirts...UGH I cant WAIT!!!!

    I agree about inches vs. weight loss. I think you might be at the point where your body is going to start shaping and toning vs losing. [Does that make sense?] I cant wait to be at that point.

    Thinking back I graduated high school at about 190-200. I see pics from back then and I looked good not real fat... Im about 20-30lbs from that point...

    Keep up the good work! Thanks about the warning about the first 2 days.

    School is great! Best decision I ever made was to go back to school. We should definetly talk about it sometime if you're thinking of going back.

    I do know what you mean about the shaping and toning and that's fine with me. I honestly can't imagine ever weighing much less than I do now. I'll be plenty happy just to get all the flabby fat that I have become good at hiding from my waist line to go away once and for all LOL. That was a long sentence LOL.

    Tell you hubby I said THANKS!!! It always makes me feel good to have people tell me I look good. Who wouldn't that make feel good!

    I agree, Juniors do run small, especially the shirts from my experience but I also have a big top. I'm wearing a 36 D still! I was in a 42D in the expensive bras, but now I can wear the cheaper fancy ones lol. I can wear a 36C in some styles as well.

    What's funny, when I look at pictures of me from High school I know i weighed more and had less muscle cause I didn't exercise at all, but I still think I look skinner. It doesn't make sense to me. I'm going to scan some HS pics tonight and post them on my profile here as well. Maybe others can tell me if they see any difference. Were always harder on ourselves. I did see a guy I went to HS with the other night and he said I look exactly like I did then. Who knows LOL.

    I forgot to mention earlier that I climbed a rock wall for the first time lsat night and made it all the way to the top!! I'm going to try to post a pic with this post as well as another pic my hubby took today.
