    Default Question about a phen break

    This is my 3rd month on phen, it has worked great up until about 3 weeks ago. I am thinking about taking a break the rest of the month with the exception of taking it on Christmas and the day after. Do any of you have any tips or advise on maintaining? I don't want to gain back any at all. I know I still need to eat right and excersise, but is there anything else I should be doing while on this break?? I will continue to take the B-12 as it helps my energy level. I did not take any pills today and I am TIRED! But that could also be cause it is so dreary and snowy here. Thanks ladies(& gents)

    How is it not working for you? Are you at a plateau w/your weight? If so, have you tried eating MORE for a couple of days? I'm not talking eating junk either, just more. I plateau every 20lbs lost...it's the only thing that gets me going again.

    I know you already said eating right and exercising, but that's the only advice I can give really, unless you're not getting enough water. Drink the 1/2 your weight in ounces and maybe push a little further with the exercise if you see yourself start to slip. You should be fine as long as you keep the good habits you've learned. Remember, you're doing the work, Phen is just helping you a little. Good Luck

    More than just the scale not moving. I don't have the energy like I did before, my hunger creeps up on me, not having the desire to drink excessive amounts of water,ext... Last time I stalled, I ate more(thanksgiving) and I lost 3 lbs. now I am stuck again. I also think I need to have a break too as the phen rage has gotten worse(with the stress of life)and not have taken it the past 2 days, my mood has improved somewhat. I need to give myself a diet break so to speak, then get back on the wagon. I am thinking I will probably start back the week of Christmas...

    i've taken a break from phen for about 2 almost three weeks. i changed nothing else about my program- i continued to eat healthy for the most part but depriving myself of nothing, working out 4-5 times a week and strength training. I had reached a plateau as well, and I was finding that phen was not as effective as it had originally been for me. When I REstarted it, it worked great and got me through that plateau. Now, i take phen during the week and not on the weekend. I know thats why i'm not seeing the scale drop as drastically and as quickly as I'd like it to but my whole thing getting on phen was that I wanted an aid but I did not want to get so dependent on it that I wouldn't be able to maintain my weight once I got off of it. I'd definitely encourage you to perhaps stop phen for a week or two if you've found that its not working as well as it once has.

    OMG I can soooooo relate to the rage! I have been in such a terrible mood. It's driving me nuts. I feel the exact same way you do. I am not going to take it today and see how I do. I have my healthy meals with me at work so I shouldn't do too bad. When I get home, the donut holes I have been eating are going in the trash! They were more for my kids, but they aren't touching them. Last week, I lost 4lbs. This week it doesn't look like I will lose any because I have been munching too much. I vowed to stay at 1400 cals and I haven't done that this week. I am disappointed.

    I am mainly worried about the loss of energy, but I haven't felt much of it in a while. I sure hope I don't eat everything in site. There is a lady that posts her that talks about pills that boost metabolism. I am thinking about trying those during a phen break.

    i thought my energy level was down before stopping.... now its worse. while on phen i was good on 4 hrs of sleep, now i need 7 or more hrs! but my moods are better, my eating habits are the same... i am hopeful that once i re start in a few weeks i will jumpstart the loosing again.

    I took a 3 month break earlier this year and did not have any problem with weight gain until the last month when I went on vacation and ate a lot of foods that I were not part of my healthy eating plan and I did not exercise as much. So I really do believe that phen is only there to help and your success when you are off it depends on you keeping up your healthy habits.

    3/18/09 started Phen the 1st time: weight 209 (started with 1/2 of a 37.5 pill)
    March - May 2009, I lost 30 lbs! I stopped taking phen.
    12/7/2009: 172.5
    1/24/2012: back up to 194! : ( how did I let that happen?! got more phen and am back for another 3 months (wedding in Fall 2012...not going dress shopping until at least 20lbs comes off!)
