Hi all, hope every1 is doing well... Just thought I let u know, that I have been off phen for about a week now. After taking it daily for a period of 1 month, 30mg capsule , coming to the end of the month I was worried and in some way interested about phen's withdrawals. In the end I was really suprised. There was no withdrawals at all. I did not expect this to be that way so I prepared for the worst, got script for valium, xanax, temazepam and doxepinWhen expecting any sort of withdrawals regardless from what medication these meds are a key to smoother survival.
I was at least expecting to feel anxious but even anxiety was not a factor. I aint new to withdrawals, and unfortunately experienced more than a few substance abuse related withdrawals... Quitting years of methamph use is nothing compared to quitting buprenorphine, durogesic or oxycodone. Needless to say alcohol is one of the worst and hardest to give up due to severity and easy availability. This is a bit off the topic but thought i mention it.
I understand medications effect each and all of us slightly differently but the main chain of actions is the same. Some may have different side effects some may not have any. I guess after taking phen for a year daily and then suddenly stopping may be a different story to mine , quitting phen after only one month. It is a good tool to get started with dieting as it creates this routine eating less due to appetite suppressive actions and to consider eating healthier. It has done exactly that in my case. Yes Iam losing weight slightly slower but Iam still losing it and not gaining. That is the part which is important in my view. Im now at just under 90kg, when I started I was around 96kg's. So on average I lost 6kg in a month and still going. After not taking phen I feel better I got to admit. MORE human in a way. When on it u dont realise that some of the feelings are numbed as with all amphetamine related meds. I feel more alive, and a lot of senses returned as Im sure dopamine and norepeniphrine / epinephrine levels came back to its normal levels.
I shall round off and hope you all are doing well with or without phen, I did admit it was a great tool in beginning life of dieting as it made things easier, but its not something I WOULD want to be taking for years. PS/ I have 40mg unfilled script for phen in my safe but do not even feel the need nor want to pay $100 for.
ALL THE VERY BEST TO U ALL AND DO LET ME KNOW YOUR OPINIONS OR IF U THINK I MAY HAVE SAID SOMETHING WRONG. IM OPEN TO ALL VIEWS.
(!!!ignore TICKER AS IT HASNT BEEN UPDATED FOR SOME TIME NOW!!!)
