Shoefiend: Hi how are you? I'm glad you got a kick out of last week. I was really really tired. My mgr laughed at me most of the day. I'm thankful though that in just a few weeks I will start working at home, YAY!!! So my exhaustion should really subside. YAY!!! As for the Zumba...lol..all things in timeI hope you do take the class on day and I hope you like it as much as me.
Xblackbettyx: 20 lbs gone for good, woooo whoooo congrats!!! 17 lbs will be gone before you notice. I don't know what I'll weigh on 2/15, I've been at 210ish for 3 weeks now. Hopefully the scale will start moving again. I'm trying not to weigh in until 2/15, but I jumped on the scale 5 times since I last said that.
Sosassafrass: Hiya!!! Gongrats on 208. Believe me I understand the love/hate with the scale, because it's always playing tricks on me. I've seen myself gain 10 lbs over night (at least now I know when that happens it's all water). Congrats on getting to the "moderate" activity level too, that's a bigger deal than some people realize. I have noticed to I tend to do more since i'm focusing on working out. I actually feel bad if I stay in bed all day.
Mrsace: Looks like the scale is playing tricks with everyone. I'm right there in the same boat with you. It seems I've been stuck at 210 forever. Just keep pushing, it will change soon. You can do it!!!
KaysKidz: Wooooooo whhhoooooooo!!!!! Way to go One-derland. YAY!!!! WOW you're doing great. Can you believe you've lost almost 100 lbs?????? That's freaking crazy and amazing. your such an inspiration. YAYAYAYYAYAYAY!!!!!!!
Ok, here's my update. I know I said I wasn't going to weigh myself, but I'm scale obsessed, so of course I've weighed myself daily. I am only using the number to measure my water level, I'm not using it as a measure of how I'm doing. I started my current eating plan yesterday, and if I can stick with it hopefully with that and the 5-6 day workout schedule the scale will move again.
I'm not sure if I'll make it to One-derland in 2 weeks, but we shall see. I refuse to count anything out. Make last week was enough to pull my out of my plateau.
***The diet I'm trying is a modified Slow carb diet. I found on this site

Wish me luck
Thanks Lady! I can't get down out of my cloud...and quite frankly, I don't want to! It's an amazing feeling for sure! And yep, I realized this morning that I'm only 9lbs away from 100lbs lost! I never in a million years thought this is where I'd be today. I thought I was destined to spend the rest of life heavy. I'm not genetically meant to be big...but after I had my son I suffered with depression and packed on the pounds. Then I got 'comfy' with my size and just wasn't motivated to do anything about it. I didn't realize how much my weight was affecting my daily life until I started losing it. The first time I could get up off the floor without having to use something to help me get up, was a major turning point for me. And going to an amusement park with my teenage son...and instead of sitting there watching everybody else have fun...I WENT ON THE RIDES...and fit in every one! What a rush!
I wish everybody nothing but the best and hope you all have success!!
KaysKidz~You know I am proud of you from the other post, you have really inspired me. I just seen your post here about going on the rides, that is so exciting!! I would get so scared of when you get on and the bar goes over you and you hear the others going click, click, click, click and mine would just go click, that is all it would close and I would be scared of dying through the whole ride!!
My update, I did gain 3 pounds but I knew that when I walked in but my Drs office was still talking so positive to me and made me feel it was OK, it was really nice. So I am still on for another month!! Now I need to step it up!! I have what, 13 days on this challenge? OK, I will give it my all!!
Thank you Teresa! I'm glad you aren't beating yourself up over the 3lbs. We all gain/lose throughout this journey. Myself included. I use those days when I see a gain, to just focus and work that much harder. I up my water, walk even when I don't want to, be even more vigilant about what I put in my mouth...and it always pays off. Maybe not right away, but it will. YOU CAN DO THIS! Just believe in yourself and your body! And do not be afraid to nourish your body! Sometimes I think people get afraid to eat. I love food. Always have, always will. I just have a healthier relationship with it and I don't let it rule my life.
KaysKidz - Congratulations!!!! I am so happy for you.
I am down to 217. I do not think I can do 1.5 pounds a day and make it to my goal by the 14th but I am going to give it everything I have.
Training is going good. Being able to work out with friends on the weekend is a major boost. We have one that's an over achiever, me the comedian, and the other just wants us all to succeed.
The gym I am at is having a biggest loser contest. Whoever looses the most body weight in 6 weeks is the winner. I have list 15 pounds so far since January 4. My trainer was blown away.
I was wiped out yesterday. Now I am back the point, I don't want to eat. Everything is starting to taste like dirt. Well not everything. We went to souper salad the other day and it was like they had just dug the spinach out of the ground. YUCK.
I hope everyone is doing good. I am headed to Los Angeles in a few weeks but my workout buddies are going with me. It will be a working trip--no play.
I hope I can drop another size--I would love to surprise my mom with my new figure.
Oh, I have to go shoe shopping again because the shoes I bought back in December are slipping off of my feet so I should be in a size 9 now. Wow.
Hubby is on the same plan I am now. YIPPEE and he has lost some weight--he hasn't worked out yet but miracles do happen.
Talk to you all later--making reservations for the guys.

I want to work out, I plan to work out, I get ready to work out, then.....always something!!!
I packed my lunch for work today and told myself on the way to work that when they start ordering lunch I was going to say NO, I brought my lunch and then we had a lunch meeting where we were all eating together and they got one of me weakness foods and my lunch is still in the office fridge!!
So, I woke up with my healthy plans made and then failed all day. I came home, changed out of my work clothes into my sports bra and workout clothes, got my daughter to bed, my husband was out and a friend called that I couldn't hand up from for TWO hours, now it is time for bed!! I did 100 jump and jacks but that is it.
OK, I will try this again tomorrow, at least I did pack my lunch and didn't forget to bring it, lol, there is one start. My life doesn't seem to be real busy besides the normal work, take care of family thing but I can't find time or I make excuses to not find time. I should have tried to let her off the phone.
I don't know where I heard this, it sticks in my head (even though I don't listen to myself). I heard someone/somewhere say...When you say you don't have time to work out, a work out should be at least 20 min. It takes you at around 20 min to take a shower. How often do you leave the house or go without a shower? You don't, you make time for it. If you have to get up 30 min earlier to take your shower or stop what you are doing when you get home or before bed, you always will schedule in your shower. So if you can do that, you can schedule in your 20 min workout. So, so, so true, just need to do it now!!
I didn't get a shower this morning. LOL Baby woke up at 5:24am...6min before the alarm was due to go off....I look like crap today! LOL
My point is, sometimes things happen beyond our control. Tomorrow is a new day...and I WILL get a shower.![]()
V-Day weigh in......195.8!!!!! I tried on a size TWELVE yesterday....and aside from being too short...THEY FIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I began this challenge in January at 217lbs. I weighed in today at 200lbs. Almost to ONEderland!!!! One more pound.
This challenge ends tomorrow, I don't think I can lose 4.7 by tomorrow!!
WTG to those who did make it!!!!! I'm joining you soon!!!!
I have finally been better about bringing my lunch and it feels good. We are still remodeling my kitchen and it makes things so hard but I hope we get a lot done today. We were supposed to be taking the grandkids and my youngest to Animal Kingdom but the weather in Orlando was too cold to spend the day out so we are working all day on getting this kitchen done. We still do not have a countertop so we can't finish but at least maybe I can cook, but I have no water!! Can't put the sink in until we get the countertop!
It will be worth it in the end!!
Today is the final day of the ONEderland Challenge. I did not want to get on the scale because I weighed in yesterday at 200lbs. so I didn't think I would lose anything else prior to the end of the challenge. But guess what.......I DID IT!!!! I am 199.4lbs this am. I am sooooo excited.
These challenges definitely give me a motivation that I don't think I would have otherwise. Congrats to all that made it.....and keep going to those who didn't.
Now on to the Easter Challenge. I have 22lbs. to go by then.

Hi ladies! I've been missing, but thinking of you all and our challenge daily. I'm going to try to catch up with everything now to see how everyone did, so stay tuned...
I didn't make it, but I am so happy to be closer than I've been in a VERY long time. I'm not beating myself up over it either as I did lose 18.2 lbs during the challenge. I am NOT giving up on making it to the goal within the next 2-4 weeks though. I've gotta eat more, sleep more, and get back on my exercise. I know that's what's holding me back.
Now, for you guys:
Teresa, I LOVE your pictures. I wish I could do this, but I'm too camera shy. Congratulations on doing such a great job. I also hope the remodeling is done soon.
toyamcgee -- congratulations to you! I'll have to look for the Easter challenge and join in.
KaysKidz - You did it girl! Congrats, congrats. How does it feel to be down 94 lbs? Your are an inspiration. Size 12 too? Wow, wow!
LeJune - Hey twin! I'm so glad you have some workout buddies and are enjoying yourself. I think this is a big plus for anyone trying to work out. Definitely keep us posted on things. I must've missed the plan you and hubby are on, so let me know when you get a minute. I need an eating plan BAD! Also, I'm glad to hear people are noticing the weight loss. It's such a great feeling to get a compliment, isn't it? The ones I hate are the "wow, you've lost so much weight." Ummm, what? What I an elephant before? ::snicker, snicker:::
Ladys - Keep that positive attitude and I think you'll be just find. We have a tendency to beat ourselves up and it backfires on us. So, I'm going to try to be more positive too. Even one pound should be celebrated. Thanks for sharing the eating plan too. I'm going to take a look at it. (And yes, the keys story WAS funny. I hope you're getting some rest.)
Shoefiend - Check ebay for Zumba, that's were I bought my set.
Sosass - I don't agree with the once a week weighing either, so I weigh myself daily to help me know where I am.
XBlackBettyX - celebrate every single pound!

Okay all, I found the Easter Challenge and after the Onederland Challenge, I know it's probably best for me to stick with a few threads so I can stay on top of things with my hectic life, sooooooo I'm going to do an 8 week/20 lb challenge, starting 2/18, but instead of posting a new thread or joining the other one, keep it here and it'll end on 4/18.
I have gotten to know most of you (even in my absences) and what I like (no offense to the other thread) is that most of us are pretty close together in weight, so to me there's more of a connection because we've been there or are currently there. It's one thing to be 125 lbs and wanting to be 100 lbs, but totally different to be over 200 lbs and struggle with it--as far as understanding completely. Not saying that 125 lbs person has less to worry about when it comes to their weight, but personally, I can't relate to being that small and wanting to be smaller.
I may join the work-out challenge, but will sleep on it.
So, who's in? For those of you who are, I'd like to officially dub us the ONEDERLAND CREW (OC for short).

Hey count me in. Congratulations to everyone!!!!
Hey everybody. Still crazy around here.
I was so hoping to be a 199 by now but and my next goal was for 210 by the 2/14 and I was kind of bummed by both. I had a little set back last week with my leg. I was limping something terrible and I probably pulled something and I am doing better now. Hubby in his own way tried to encourage me by saying you weren’t this size when we got married, when was the last time you were 215 in the 90’s? I wanted to hit him but you know, it feels good to have some of your 18’s fall off of you.
I am headed to LA on Thursday so I will be out of pocket for 6 days. No, hubby is not going. Me and workout buddies + a couple more people. Still eating right working out. Getting enough water and pooping is still my issue.
I am so thankful for workout buddies they have really helped me alot. They are really sweet one is single and the other is married with 2 kids. You know we will be working out because all three of us are in the room together AND the one with kids is an over achiever—she has to feel the burn and be tired before she will let us stop. She will probably have us in there twice a day.
My weight loss has been really noticeable lately especially here in the office. LOL. So I calculated it and I have lost a total of 45 pounds—35 since phen.
I will read the boards and check in.
Dang Emcee--we really are twins!!!!

Congrats on the weight loss...even to those that didn't end up in one-der-land this go-round. I missed my goal by 6 lbs...but as I said in another post. I'm alright with that because I lost 31 lbs in 3 months.
I'm still up in the air about the Easter Challenge, i'm leaning towards just being a cheerleader and checking in on everyone's progress and i'll share my own from time to time...I'm learning that the weight loss challenges stress or frustrate me a little more than motivate me. I will do the exercise challenge...however, i've upped my time from 60 minutes 5 days/week to 75 minutes 5 days/week since I already do 60 minutes.
Well...Today is Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday)...tomorrow starts the Lenten season, so I have decided to give up idle time. Last year, I gave up meat...which was fine. However, this year it was advised by my doctor not to give up meat because I am not doing well with my iron supplements (can't keep them down) and since i'm way more active, I need to keep what little meat I eat in my diet.
With this idle time i'm sacrificing...i'm going to exercise more, become even more organized and do all the things that need to be done that I put off doing by procrastinating and wasting time.
I have taken a 2 week phen break...and I've lost 3 lbs which isn't bad. It feels good that my 16s are getting increasingly loose. I haven't tried on any 14's and I don't plan on doing so just yet. I am waiting to try them in April. I will start back on my phen (if i don't forget to take it in the morning) tomorrow...and see how many pounds I can lose by the end of the month.
Goals...everybody's gotta have them
Phase I- 199.0 lbs- completed on (3/14/2010)
Phase II- 179.0 lbs
Phase III-164.0 lbs
Phase IV (the home stretch)-150 lbs
Lejune, you have a great time girl! I wish I could go, too. I'm so glad you have some workout buddies too as I know this makes you more accountable, plus makes it more fun for all of you. Have a safe trip and definitely tell us all about it when you get back.
Sosass, congrats congrats! 31 lbs in 3 months is wonderful, girl. Keep up the great work. I love your idea about giving up idle time too. Also, I think the challenges both motivate and stress me out, but I do want to keep doing them to keep myself accountable.
So far it seems LeJune and I are the only ones who have weighed in about a new challenge for us, so I think we should hold off until next week. I go to the doctor tomorrow and I'm a bit scared to hear what he has to say since I've only lost 5 lbs since my last appointment. I know the not eating, sleeping and all the stress has really taken a toll on me, plus I haven't been exercising or drinking my water. Hopefully he'll let me stay on it another month, but if not, I'm still committed to meeting my goal.

HIYA everyone I know I haven't checked in and was rather quiet last week, but I felt like poo. I agree with Emcee post and would like to continue on this challenge if ya'll want to. I did join the other 25 lbs down by Easter, and the workout 5 days a week...but I haven't updated anything on either. I think I'll just be a silent cheerleader. Anyway, it is more comforting being on a challenge with people with similar challenges (I hope that makes sense). So way to go OC crew and how is everyone doing???
LeJune: Are you back yet??? If not I hope your trip is going good and that you're getting some workout time in. I'm so happy to hear about your 18's falling off. Isn't that the best feeling in the world?? YAY way to go!!!!!!
SOS: How's it going? Are you having a better time with your Iron pills? Have you tried taking Geritol? I used to be really iron anemic, and the only thing I could take that didn't make me feel really bad was liquid Geritol. It taste gross, but it did the job. Now I'm pretty much able to get by with just my normal multivitamin. Also do you take it with food? WAY TO GO 31 lbs is AWESOOMMMEEEEE!!! I'm doing my happy dance for you. You're sooooo close to One-derland, you'll be there in NO TIME AT ALL.
Emcee: Hi. I hope your doctor's appointment went good. I was just looking and you've lost 51 lbs, that's awesome. I'm so happy for you. YAY!!! And the water thing s u c k s, I actually can't wait until I'm 180ish so I'm only required to drink 64oz. Just keep working hard and you'll be there soon.
As for me, my scale finally started moving 2 wks ago. It's moving slowly, but at least it's moving, maybe it picked up that it was about to have a date with the dumpster if it didn't go down. LMAO. So as of Saturday morning only 7lbs to One-derland. I'm happy but I'm trying not to be too happy because that 7lbs could be 2 weeks or 2 months. I'm praying for 2 weeks though.
I still haven't started working out 5 days a week yet. So I went ahead and grabbed my clothes this morning so I don't have any excuses at 5 when I get off. If I can make myself go on Mondays, the rest of the week is ok.
Well I hope everyone else is looking/feeling/doing good.
Hey there LadyS! I dunno where everyone is, but I'm glad to hear from you and that the scale is moving again. I'll pray for the 2 weeks for you too! Did you make it to the gym? I think I'm going to start back going to the gym next week once the weather gets a little better.
For the next challenge, let's plan to start March 1st and do 8-10 wks for a Spring Challenge. That'll give everyone time to check in if they're interested and then we can go from there.
My appointment went okay, but I had only lost 4 lbs since my last appt, so he got onto me and I promised to do better. So I've been getting rest and getting my water. Which I don't mind, I just have to remembet to drink it. I love water.

Hi Emcee, Well I'm glad your doctor's appointment went good. Anyloss is better than a gain. I am happy I convinced my doctor to give me a 2 month refill in January, now I don't have to go back until the end of March.
Exercise will come. Are you doing any type of exercise right now? I think especially when your first starting off anything is better than nothing.
So about the challenge? What's it going to be? I'm fine with either 8 or 10 weeks. 10 weeks would stop 9 days before my birthday, I think (May 19th). I know I'm shooting for 25lbs down on the Easter challenge (only 5wks to lose 20.6lbs...uummmm realistically I don't see that happening). I think I could do 20 lbs in 10 weeks though. That would leave me feeling great for my BDAY, and have me dancing off the walls. I know I'm going to have to buckle down though.
Hey LadyS, thanks for chiming in. Let's start March 1st and do the 10 weeks, to make it more realistic to hit 20 lbs.
I haven't exercised much since right around Christmas, but I was doing a bit of everything, mostly cardio. I have a few new exercise CDs I'm going to try and more games for the wii. With the weather getting better, I hope to walk more too. What about you? What will you be doing?
How is everyone else? Anyone heard from Dee? Is LeJune back from her trip? Sosass, how are those 16's fitting now?

I didn't know this thread was still alive...barely.Nice to see you all! I've been bad and not around much. I'm sorry about that! I pm'd Dee sometime ago and never heard back.
I'm actually kind of worried about her since nobody heard from her after her trip...at least not that I'm aware of. I hope he wasn't some freak, kwim?
Anyways...these last few pounds are slow going. I'm at 190...I need to lose another 10lbs minimum...but I'd like to lose another 20. Don't know that it'll happen. But for me, my height etc....170-180 is perfect. I can live with it. Now just to get TONED. And tan!
At a stall again. I haven't gained but haven't lost either. I have had to get back on iron because I have been so exhausted. The past few months have been okay but I have noticed over the last 3 months or so I haven't been the same. My levels have been low since my accident. My doctor put me on a supplement which got me back to the normal range but I know its low again so I have been taking them this week, especially since TOM is near.
I am in between sizes UGH!!! My 16W's are loose and my 18's regular are loose as well, especially in the butt. LOL. I have dropped a band size--yippee! Oh, did I mention, I have went from a size 10 shoe to a size 9.
My trip to LA was good. Not sure if we will do anything for our anniversary next month or not. Hubby has picked up most of the weight he lost.

You are looking good! Can definitely see a change! WTG!!! I know what you mean about band sizes...my wedding ring has made 2 moves already to other fings...and is about to make yet another. I'm trying to wait until I'm done losing before getting it resized. I only want to do it once. Right now, it's upside down on my middle finger...right hand. LOL
I haven't dropped a whole shoe size, I don't think...but I no longer need a wide.![]()
And I say, go buy yourself a pair of pants that fit! Nothing better for self esteem that a pair of jeans that FIT. I refuse to wear pants that are too big now...even if it means rewearing the same jeans a couple times a week. Or only having them for a month or so. It's worth it!
I wanna do it!!! but it is going to take me a while to get there since i have right at 100 lbs to go. I was listening to something earlier that seems to fit thisit is from the new alice in wonderland movie...and one verse states:
I found myself in Wonderland
Got back on my feet, again
Is this real?
Is this pretend?
I'll take a stand until the end
so here we go folks!!!!
