Hey, i have really severe acne on my back and my face. Did anyone here take Accutane and Phen at the same time? If so, did the medications have a reaction to you? I thinking about switching from taking the epiduo cream to Accutane since I heard its a miracle drug for severe acne.
Or does anyone have any experience taking Accutane in the past? |

I would call a pharmacy and ask, also you can go on a drug interaction checker online like medscape and type in what you are taking and it will give you mild interactions all the way to serious life threatening ones

I did a course of Accutane about 10 yrs ago when I was in college. I had severe cystic acne and had tried everything under the sun that my dermo had to offer. My skin on Accutane was amazing! Baby soft and smooth, clear, small pores, not oily anymore...really perfect. I took only one 40mg pill per day and had my blood work monitored each week. I think I was on it for 6-8 weeks. I had no headaches or other common side effects. I will say that I did experience the extreme drying of my lips, skin on feet, and skin in other areas of my body. I always had a chapstick nearby. In the years since taking Accutane I have had better skin and if I get some cystic acne it usually goes away in a few days instead of a few weeks. My skin is oily again and does still breakout but it is no where near as bad as it used to be. I wish I could do another course of Accutane but my skin isn't bad enough for that. All in all I would highly recommend Accutane if you have very bad skin problems. I think that under a doctor's care you should be just fine. I do not know about Accutane and Phen at the same time but you should ask your doctor about that. Good luck!
