    Default Starting 10 day challenge .. Anyone want to join me?

    Hi everyone,

    Ive been on Phen for 3 months now but ive seemed to stall with my weight loss a little. I'm thinking that i need to shock my body with something new so im going to do a 10 Day challenge to challenge myself and see what results i can accomplish.

    Here's what im doing... Cardio excercise 40 minutes 5 times a week
    Calorie intake of 1200 calories a day (High Protein low Carb)
    Drinking at least 120 oz of water daily
    No eating after 10 pm
    37.5 mg Phen every morning before breakfast

    This will be something new for me to stick with because ive only been excercising 3 x a week now im going to try 5. Im hoping to lose 10 pounds in 10 days.

    What a great idea! I'm in! I've been working out 2 to 3 times a week at the gym and I try to fit in my ab sets and lunges durring the week. I just increased my cardio on the elipticle to 40 minutes yesterday. I haven't kept track of my water intake because I drink the stuff ALL DAY and with my meals. And I already eat a low carb / high protein diet (or I try to anyway)

    -I will keep track of my water consumed to 120 oz per day
    -Work out 5x per week
    -phen 37.5; I split mine and take half when I get up then 1 hour before lunch.

    What day did you want to start this challenge?

    I'm in! I'm in!!!

    For me:

    Starting tomorrow...
    - No coffee (I have a BAD habit of high calorie, high fat coffee drinks)
    - 8-10 glasses of water (I don't even drink 1 right now! TERRIBLE I KNOW!)
    - Exercise at least every other day with walks on the days in between
    - In bed and asleep no later than 10 PM (Another bad habit I've developed lately)

    Ok Val, Dallas, Suburban, & Janell- We are doing this!

    As of today I'm at 224.5. It's also my birthday on the final weigh in day so I'll have my cake after I weigh myself.
    Just kidding. (I'm only cheating myself)

    Val - I'm excited that you started this challenge! I've been wanting to kick my b u t t in a higher gear and I needed something short-term like this.

    I'm in I got on the scale at 229.2 this morning! My husband gets two weeks of leave starting next weekend lol I havne't seen him in 8 months so I wanna look my best hehe

    1. Walk both morning and afternoon to get hails from school (3.6miles)
    2. Do my taebo 4 times a week instead of just one lol!
    3. STICK with my low carb/high protein diet and now eating after 6pm! (i go to bed early when the hubs is deployed)

    I am IN!!!!

    I am following Weight Watchers and making it mostly protein and lower on the carbs. I work out everyday...doing the Firm Workouts/Running/Slim In 6 - and lots of stretching..I had been stuck and the scale seems to have finally moved again..LETS DO THIS!!

    My Weight this morning was 190.5.

    So next weigh in is on Tuesday - September, 22. How awesome I really need this kick...this motivation. =)

    i did 30 minutes of cardio and took my kids to the park and around 5 o'clock im going to do another 30 minutes... what are all of you doing for today. i ate a salad and a apple and water.....kinda hungry but imma wait around 5 after i workout. hope you all doing good. what a good idea val~<3, tequila, suiteady,hissug, married2asoldier, suburban mom, we are in this to win this good luck to all...

    I walked Hailee to school yesterday morning. It was raining yesterday afternoon tho so couldn't walk to pick her up.
    Ate Bacon for breakfast
    Turkey Burger (seasoned for beef lovers) so yummy for lunch
    Salad
    And Roasted Lemon Pepper chicken for dinner it was so yumm!!
    Lost 1.2lbs since yesterday!

    Good Morning, Just checking it. Had a great day yesterday...just got back from a 4.5 mile walk with my cousin. They are visiting for the weekend and now we are heading to Cracker Barrel for breakfast/lunch. We got up late..I just wanted to check in and see how everyone was doing.

    thats good were on top of this, and married2asoldier, i wish i lived where it rains it hot in central california and i hate it, but 1.2 pounds is good wonder what our weighin going to say. suitelady 4.5 miles is good and have fun with your cousin, having visitors make youso busy.....

    Good evening, ladies!!!

    It sounds like you all are off and running to a good start! Yay!!!! That motivates me to keep going too! This is exactly what I needed. Thank you so much!

    Well, I weighed today. I'm at 205.6 (on my home scale) My fiance and I went to the gym today and I was very forgiving of myself. LOL I was able to get about 30 minutes in on the treadmill, intervals of course! Then we worked on chest, back, and shoulders. Wow! I'm really, really out of shape!!!

    But... NO COFFEE today! Woo hoo for me!!!! And I managed to drink 7 glasses of water today. I really have to work on that. It's just me and the baby at home tonight though so I doubt I'll be in bed by 10. This is a rarity so I'm enjoying it as much as I can. I'm going to watch mindless TV and Confessions of a Shopaholic!

    Okay... Sorry so long-winded.

    Dallas- Yes, I'm sore! But...not as bad as I thought I would be. This morning FI said, "Well, we'll push you harder next time!" NEXT TIME?! WHAT?! LOL!!!

    Well it's raining today so I won't make it out for my walk. In fact we're supposed to get rain every day for at least the next week. I guess I'll be forced to either go to the gym for some classes or.... *Da da da!!!* P90X with Fi. Yikes!

    Sorry guys i havent checked in but , on the weekends its so hard for me to excercise with the kids. Here's what im doing , i ecercise MON- FRI and since the kids dont give me a chane to excercise in the morning i really watch what im eating on the weekends. I try to treat my weight loss journey like a full time job because im up at 5am onthose days i have to work. So far so good though this weekend , i really need to learn not to weigh myself every five minutes though. (LOL)
    I will be weighing in tomorrow and doing my workout , talk to you then and have a great Sunday !

    I started in May and have lost 69 pounds so far. I have been at 205 for two weeks. I am not going to drink any diet soda or any drinks that contain Splenda or fake sugar. I have been working out 3 days a week, next week I will be doing 5. This is the hardest for me but no eating after 6 and my meal before 6 will be low carb.

    Hi Amanda!

    I have found a great late night snack! Sugar Free Jello!!! All kinds of flavors, cheap, and only has 10 calories and no carbs!! You should try it if you need a late night snack, or make your flavored Crystal light, freeze it and then eat it like it is italian ice pops!!

    Good morning everyone. I'm at 226lbs. I gained 1.5 over the weekend, I totally went backwards. I did my best to stick to the high protein/low carb diet and I didn't get any excersize. That means I'll be a busy girl all week going to the gym straight after work.

    3 drinks + chocolate cake + salty food = lots of water & a 1.5 lb gain but was worth the fun and time spent with good people. I had a weekend full of fun surprises. My SO took me to a Cirque show Saturday afteroon then he and some friends surprised me with an evening out directly after the show and I had 3 drinks. One of my evil friends also surprised me with a home-made double chocolate cake at the bar/restaurant. I tried to be good by eating only 1 slice and I really hope I didn't hurt her feelings by kindly refusing to take the leftovers home with me. The food at the restaurant was way too salty so I feel like I'm puckering my mouth, needless to say, I've been up all night with potty breaks because of the water I've been drinking.

    * I am dedicating the next 7 days to work & the gym. *

    Hey Ladies!! I am still nursing a little head cold. I did alot of laying around yesterday and did even workout. I will get my workout in this evening...even if it means just going for a loooong walk. I feel guilty when I take more than one day off. =( and reading this thread has motivated me. I did read somewhere..that even if you have a cold...as long as you are okay from the neck down you can still work out...

    Tequila - just put it behind you...today is a fresh new day...make it count.

    Well, I weighed in today although it was Day 3 for me. I'm at 204.4 so 1.2 lbs.

    Tequila - You can't beat yourself up! I'm certainly not about to beat myself up over the crap I ate this evening. Neither FI nor I cooked dinner so I had to make a snap decision. Not a good thing but today was "one of those days..." Ugh! LOL!

    SuiteLady - I hope you feel better soon. I HATE head colds!!! If you feel up to it, get some exercise in. If you feel like crap...get some rest before throwing yourself into it. Please!

    Janell & Val - Awesome!!! Keep going! Keep going!!!

    Well I haven't worked out since Saturday. I have no real excuse. I put my workout clothes out so I wouldn't have to bump around in the dark to find them at 4 AM. However, we are having HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE weather here and there has been an advisory for no one to drive if they don't have to. It was thundering and lightning, flooding and pouring! So I didn't go to the gym at 4 AM. When I got off work it was even worse. I really could try working out at home. Right? *sigh*

    Well girls I didn't check in yesterday but I weighed in at 227 so I was happy with that Now The bad news is its raining this morning no walkin to school butttt The hubby should be on his way home so I'm trying to get the house spic in span which is a pretty good workout in itself!     okay..so, I weighed in this morning and I am up 2?!?! I know I ate alot of salt this weekend..too many canned soups...but 2??!?! How frustrating...I just want out of the dang 190's..its like a tease..lol Oh well, I gotta work harder now...I am feeling MUCH better so I shall get rid of it....today is a crazy day..going to be running around and will be home pretty late..I will try my best to check in.

    Doesnt look like I will drop 10 for this challenge but I will take 5!!! =)

    I went to my Dr yesterday and the nurse was so impressed that I had lost 13 pounds. I was so happy!! She was like "You have lost a lot of weight" . I couldn't have been more happy. It's nice to hear confirmation from someone else other than your scale.

    Suburban - I'm in Raleigh, we were rained out this morning too but not as bad as GA. I read about the floods in your state. Take care of you. And, yeah for your 1.2 loss.

    Married - Keep up the good work!

    I went to the gym yesterday evening. I didn't do as much as I'd like because my BF didn't want to stay there long. He's staying home tonight. I was able to do 35 minutes on the elipticle and increased another level. I did my best to keep the sodium content down and I ate a South Beach fiber bar for breakfast, Lean Cuisine for lunch ( I double checked the sodium first) and a green salad with grilled chicken. I drank water all day and one glass of watered down sweet tea with dinner. NO DESSERT. I'm proud because I usually "need" a bite of something sweet before going to bed. I have fat free pudding and sugar free jello in the fridge, left untouched.

    This evening, I'm going to do 40 minutes on the elipticle and 20 minutes on the resistance machines.

    Tequila - sounds like you had a great day yesterday. Good for you!

    So far today is a good day..I have been running around trying to get dinner done and the house clean before I head to school. No workout today...depending on what time I get in tonight...I might still be able to do it...I surprise myself sometimes, so we shall see.

    Hello ladies I would love to join the challenge I need the motivation and help. I know everyone has already started so I will just try to be focused for the reamaining 7 days.

    I will try to workout every day for the week walking 3 to 4 miles and also to stay on point with my calories daily. i hope to be in the 190's in 7 days in away from the 200 hundreds.

    I havent been on this site in so long I hope to lose the weight I have put back on. Thanks

    Amber - Yay for DH coming home!!!! I know right now that's got to be ALL you're thinking about! How long has he been gone? Did you already answer that question? If so... SORRY!!!

    Amanda - How did I miss your post the other day? I apologize! Blame my eyes! AWESOME progress! 69 pounds?! That is such an amazing accomplishment! Cutting the fake sugar may do the trick! I read somewhere that someone was stuck for a few weeks and she tried lemon water and that helped bust her plateau. Couldn't hurt, right? Let us know!

    SuiteLady - I'm sorry to hear about the 2 pounds but I bet you're right! Canned soups have SO much sodium in them! I bet anything once you let those go, you drop some weight! Probably 2 or 3 pounds, easily. You are an inspiration to me! I wish I could take some of what you have and bottle it to take right now. Working out after busying about all day? You rock!

    Janell - Wow! 13 pounds?! That is GREAT! I would be excited too!! And yes... It does make you feel good when someone else recognizes and acknowledges your hard work! Keep going, girl!!!

    Tequila - Look at you keeping on tack with your eating! That's so hard for me after a week or two. I give in to the need for something sweet so I admire your willpower! I hope you had a fantastic workout tonight!

    It finally stopped raining here and the day was GORGEOUS! Of course now it's supposed to start raining again. FI, baby, and I are safe and sound but so many people have suffered losses or haven't had water or something. A lot of the school districts here were closed today and some will be closed tomorrow as well. My little one is only 1 so he's in daycare.

    What's to report with me? Hmm... I weighed in again today just because it is my "real" 4th day. I was down again to 204. I definitely won't weight again until Monday or Tuesday. Maybe I will actually stick with my challenge of going to the gym! I woke up this morning at 4 and just laid in bed. Why? I was awake and could have gone. I SHOULD have gone. So why didn't I? Freakin' lazy!!!

    On a positive note... I've been doing well with my eating plan and not overindulging. I'm snacking but smarter. I'm drinking more water. And still... NO coffee! Yay me!!! I knew that would be the hardest part for me! So far so good.

    Okay... I need to upload my before photos but... I don't wanna!
