    Hi guys, i'm back. Sorry i've been lost. I took a week off of phen and dieting to see if I gets things moving again. Good news is that I did not gain any weight and hopefullythe pounds start dropping again. I'm so wishing to be under 200 by Jan 1st. I need to make it happen! Wish me luck!

    Hi everyone,

    Val - praying for you. Been there done that with a BF of 6 years. Married now, but my hubby is insecure sometimes about me loosing weight. He is overweight and likes me as a FULL-FIGURED BOMB SHELL. LOL. Hubby does not get home until late on Mon, Thurs, Fri & Sat and most times he likes for us to eat together. But I usually monitor what I eat. Friday night, I went to Pappadeaux's and had the Cedar Plank Grilled Salmon with Asparagus. It was so good. He wasn't the wiser.

    Good news - I am down 7 pounds despite TOM starting Thursday. I have not been getting my water in like I should. Work in a busy office -- last week, we had so many things to get out the door, I did not have a chance to eat a good meal while at work.

    I actually put on a pair of dress pants I was given that are a size 18W. It is a little sung in the thigh but I can actually zip them up. Even though the fullest part of the thigh is snug it is not like it was a month ago. I like small victories!

    I have not told hubby I am taking Phen. Going to wait another month or so.

    Everyone is doing so well. It helps a lot when you are just starting. Thanks everyone.

    I finally went to the gym last night and got my workout on! I had a grilled chicken salad for dinner and a mango for dessert, yum. I feel so much better today. My clothes are fitting loose (more than usual) but the scale isn't moving so that's kind of weird.

    Suite - what's up with the chips-ahoy? lol
    - Thank you for the kind words, I'm also sorry about your loss. It did have a different effect on me. He was a great outgoing and very fit guy (only 41 yrs old and looked 31 and was a personal trainer on the side) but ate all the wrong foods. The hard part is: he was having bad indigestion for the past few weeks and came to me just about everyday asking for pepcid or tums (I keep a small bottle in my purse). I suggested to him that he see a doctor. He jokingly replied by telling me to make an appointment for him and I said to him that I wasn't his wife, GF or his momma (he loved getting a rise out of me). He had a heart attack and died on Sunday. Then I found out yesterday afternoon from his sister that he had a heart attack 7 years ago and was aware of his condition. Yesterday was kind of surreal but, today is a new day.

    Default Down 12 pounds

    Good morning everyone!!!

    I know we are not supposed to watch the scale but I met my goal before the end of the month and have lost the 10 + 2! I got on the scale Monday morning and I was down 7 pounds and between then another 5. I am happy! I have several 18's that were given to me and I am so looking forward to getting into them soon. Yesterday was two weeks since I started Phen.

    Hopefully I can do another 20 before Thanksgiving. I am definately getting in the gym tonight.

    Well, well, well!!! Look what the dog dragged in....Me! LOL! (I don't like cats)

    Please forgive me in advance if I miss something. There has been a lot going on since I was last able to log on. Plus, I'm at work and have to post quickly...and maybe minimize my window from time to time. LOL!

    Val - I hate to hear that you have been going through it with your SO. And it's nearly impossible to separate different areas of our lives because they always tend to affect each other or somehow run over into another aspect. It's a process and forcing yourself to change the way you think and regard certain (stressful) situations, but think about what's most important to you and your kids. Concentrate on what makes you feel stronger, love harder, appreciate greatly, and BE better! If it doesn't add value to your life... If what you're putting effort into doesn't do ANY of those things...drop it! I don't care what it is. (((hugs)))

    Brooklyn - Congrats on your loss, girl! That is so awesome and gives me renewed hope that I can in fact get to my goals! Thank you for that!!! And I have to agree...your family is beautiful!!! How have you been doing the last few days?

    Newbie - Where are you? Are you hiding out like me? Are you staying on course to get to your goals? What am I asking?! Duh! Of course you are!!! LOL! Please come share some good news with us. I NEED the words to move my feet towards the gym.

    Suite - The only thing that disappointe ME is that you didn't mail me any Chips Ahoy! That's just downright selfish! I mean... I thought you and I were MUCH better than that! LOL!!! Seriously, I'm sure you are fine! You're constantly being good so one bad even will NOT negate all your progress, girl!!! And try not to do so much that you forget to do the things that you love and make you feel better. Trust me... I should be taking my own d*mn advice but...you know how it is when it's you. You can always help someone else even before you help yourself. LOL! I WILL listen to my own advice! (((hugs))) You are the awesomest! And while I know that's NOT a word, I think it describes you....our resident cheerleader!!!

    Janell - I'm so happy to hear from you!!! And I know what you mean... I love it when I lose weight but I am SO totally okay with at least not gaining!!!! January will find you UNDER 200 for SURE!!!

    LeJune - I couldn't be happier for you!!!! 12 off?! Way to go! Isn't actually seeing progress the absolute BEST motivator?! I love it!!! And congrats on those 18s!!!! Watch out 16...LeJune is coming for you!!!!!!!

    Tequila - I'm sorry to hear about your car and even sorrier to learn of the loss of your friend. (((hugs))) Death is such a scary thing. It's unpredictable but always certain. It can bring people closer together, rip families apart, encourage positive changes, yet emit negative reactions all at the same time. I will pray for his family and friends' strength, peace, and understanding.

    Congrats on your strides in fitness too, girl!!! Woo hoo! Check you out! I love it!!!!

    I've been incredily tired the last week to the point that I'm falling asleep while driving. One day I was so sleepy that when I picked my son up from day care, I just started crying before I even started the car. All I could think about was, "What if I'm so sleepy, I fall asleep while he's in here with me?" I broke down like a basket case and was afraid to drive the 7 minutes to our house from his school. I prayed about it and called FI. I made it home safe and sound and without incident. Thank GOD!!!!

    Our little guy is feeling better. He still has a cold but at least his fever is gone. Today was his first day back at school since last Thursday (morning) when I was called to pick him up. I have to assume he had a pretty good day since no one called me. LOL

    I am retaining water like NOBODY'S business! Between TOM and (seemingly) uncontrollable salty food cravings...I'm awfully d*mn puffy! I have NOT been to the gym in longer than I care to admit but my eating habits are somewhat "better." They are rocky more than anything. *sigh*

    Okay... My manager is coming! Love you bye!!!!

    Hey Ladies!!!! I havent signed on...I have been sickie...just really a sore throat and right now I dont really have a voice..well, one minute I do and then next minute nothing..if I am not better by Monday going to have to call the Dr. Been seriously stressed and not sleeping at night. Got drama with my daughter and her Bio Dad...he pops up every now and then and naturally she gets upset...he is a loser...and I just hate that he is that way with her. It just weighs me down - my heart aches for her. She calls my husband Dad and feels like he is her real Father and always has her back..but I know inside she wants her Bio Dad - nothing can fill that void for her. So, it just takes a toll on me. THEN - my 3 yr old is going through separation anxiety and cant have me out of his sight..he pulled a huge stunt this morning for the first time..when I dropped him off at pre-school - he was fine when I picked him up his teacher said he was fine 2 minutes later....I am just a ****a for my kids - they are my entire life..and I am the biggest chooch..lol..

    Physically, I feel much better today and got in a great workout..just still have an annoying scratchy throat and its a little sore...it sounds much worse than it is..when I talk.

    SuburbanMom - honey, trust me...I WAS looking out for you by not sending you any Cookies...lol..sharing is caring but not when its being naughty....

    I havent gotten on the scale..and probably wont until Tuesday...I doubt I will be making my goal by Halloween..but as close as I can get to it is awesome with me. =)

    Suite - I hate that you've been sick. I hope you feel 100% again soon!!!

    I know what you mean about being a s*c*k*r for your kids! My baby is the center of my world too. And he's first all the time. I offer no apologies for it either! I too hate that your ex is such a poopy head. My heart always breaks for people who cannot have their father (or mother) the way they truly deserve and I thank my lucky stars all the time that I have both my parents in my life who have always done the very best they could by me. They were together for 20 years and then divorced when I was only 6 but they made sure to put MOST (not all) of their differences aside for the sakes of me and my older brother. I am so happy that your daughter has your husband who sounds like a TOTALLY awesome guy! I know he can't fill that void, but he can show her what it is to be loved by a "daddy" and that there are some wonderful men in the world. Okay... I'm going to make myself cry now. LOL!

    I ate entirely too much for lunch today. Even after my tummy was telling me to STOP eating...I kept right on!!!! Ugh! Well, I will have a VERY light dinner tonight!!!! Fruit, veggies, and water, I'm sure. I won't make my Halloween goal... Heck, I don't even remember what it si. I guess I'll have to go back and look. But, I digress... I won't make it but if I can manage just to get back into the swing of things, I'll be happy with myself.

    Hi everyone. I have been reading everyone notes and it sounds like you guys have a nice group here. Are you guys doing another challenge? I would like to jump in if I can. I have been on this site since the beginning of August and it has truly helped me. This last week, was the first week I did not lose anything and I was so down on myself. I am going to re-group and go back to what I know works for me. I normally weigh in on Mondays, but this whole weekend I will be reuniting with old college friends for the Homecoming weekend. I am sure there is going to be lots of eating and drinking. I really do not want the scale to move upward this weekend. I think I might weigh in next Friday!

    Brand New - Welcome to our circle! We're always glad to have new people join us!!!! Congrats on your 41 pound loss! I know it's a lot easier said than done, but try not to beat yourself up over not losing one week...or even in a month.     SuburbanMom - Yes, you are such a chooch like me!! I love it. Get your behind back in gear because Halloween will be here..lets work on trying to fit into something new for Thanksgiving..lol..even though we might have to unbutton after dinner..lol What are your plans for the weekend?

    BrandNew - Welcome. This is a great group. We are going to start again on November 1st - till Thanksgiving. So, take this time to get to know us..so that during the challenge you can give out some tough love when needed..lol...thats what works for some of us... =) You will love it here. You are doing great so far...and dont beat yourself up for staying the same..just switch some things up..be honest with yourself and think of how you might be able to do something a little differently to kind of trick your body.

    Fine!!!!!!! Suite... You really know how to get to me! LOL!!! Argh!!!

    I told FI that I really, really want to go to the gym tomorrow. However, we have SO much crap to do tomorrow!!! Argh!!!! So... Since the baby wakes up up by 7 on the weekends, we decided to get up and get to the gym by 8 so we can get our workout done! See? Aren't you proud of me?!

    Well... This weekend -

    Tonight:
    Spending some *ahem* "Quality time" with FI. (I have some clothes washing and drying for tomorrow while I'm at it.

    Saturday:
    8 AM - Gym
    10 - Best Buy
    10:30 - Looking at a property we're considering moving to. MAYBE! Story for another day...MAYBE!!!! LOL!!!
    11:00 - Visiting with FI's grandmother
    12:30/1:00 - Lunch w/FMIL
    3:00 - Shopping for FI's trip to Florida
    4:00 - Quick salon visit for me
    6:00 - Dinner with girlfriends I haven't seen since January!!!!
    After dinner... We haven't decided but I THINK we're supposed to go bowling at a late night spot.

    Sunday:
    11ish - Gym
    1:30 - Visiting w/best friend and kids
    4:30 - Visiting w/grandma again
    After that.... Who knows?

    OMG - SuburbanMom - I am tired just looking at your schedule for the weekend..lol Well, as for me - my daughter has her Homecoming Dance tonight...so my day will pretty much revolve around her after my workout. I might get a head start on my laundry this way maybe we can all go to the movies tomorrow. My lil one wants to see AstroBoy...my daughter and hubby can probably go see something else, its difficult to accomodate both kiddies sometimes since there is a 10 yr gap. I am still feeling a little strange...got a stupid cough..and its so annoying. Well, my darling Diva - enjoy your weekend...I shall check in sporadically to see if anyone else does.... (((hugs)))

    I would join your challenge, but I have been doing exactly that for 2 weeks and I've stalled on my weight. I don't think my body is use to losing 34 lbs. in 3 months... and is holding on to everything it has right now because I've had this comfort zone for so long.... I'm looking for something even more of a challenge.... good luck to you and others joining, and if you think of anything I can try, please let me know.

    Good afternoon, ladies! I'm trying to "sneak" a post in before FI and baby wake up from their naps. And wouldn't you know it? Now I want to go back to sleep? I really shouldn't though. They let me sleep until a little after noon. LOL! Ha!

    How was everyone's workouts this weekend? Well, I went pretty hard in the gym yesterday. 45 minutes of interval cardio and legs and glutes. Argh! I'm so sore today! I slept too long today and didn't get anymore time in the gym today but that's fine. It's a lazy Sunday anyway, right? Tomorrow is a new day and I'll be on it!

    Default Time to Get Back On Track

    This weekend I had a great time. I got to see people from my college that I have not seen in 17 years. We had a good time! I overindulged on the alcoholic drinks, but maintained good eating habits, so this morning I am up only a half a pound. Today it is time to get back on track, I have been slacking for the last week. I need to get it together so I meet my halfway goal of 50 pounds. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

    Suburban, girl when do you find the time to do EVERYTHING??? Wow, talk about SUPER MOM.. lol. YOU GO GIRL, you are working out like a crazy woman, I LOVE IT.. keep up the great work.

    Suite - Hi lady, glad to hear you are feeling better and are working out, thats always a good thing. Dont even talk about being a ****** for the babies. Those two I have are my life. It dont matter to me, If we dont spoil them, who else will??? LOL
    On a more serious note. I too was like your little girl, with the Bio Dad not in the picture much. The worst part was my Bio Dad remarried, had more kids and just forgot about me like I was not his first born I had many many therapy sessions to try to get over that hurt I felt because him. The void is totally real, and nothing can totally fill it. but thankfully I had the most wonderful step dad EVER!! Unfortunately we lost him to lung cancer 2 years ago (the absolute hardest thing to deal with in my life) But It looks like your hubby is providing that security that she needs which is awesome!!!!! (GREAT GUY)

    Tequila - sorry for your loss, I hope you have been hanging in there girl. Wishing you nothing but the best!!!

    Weight loss update:

    Friday was 4 weeks since starting Phen and I am happy to report I lost a total of 19lbs (WOOHOO - doing my happy dance)
    It is totally enjoyable to have hubby comment on the weight loss and to be able to fit into jeans that were a bit snug just 4 weeks ago. So needless to say I am totally excited and more motivated to keep up the journey.
    The only thing that bothered me was that hubby said he didnt want me to get too SKINNY...LMAO. He said when we met you were like 180 and a size 10 and thats what he liked about me. Ive alway had a flat/firm stomach (well until the kids...lol) and butt and thighs (genetics im sure). So he says he doest want me to lose to much. Well I told him that I wont stop until im satisfied. For now the goal is 170lbs which is really still considered overweight according to my doctor's charts, and I do like my curves, just not sooo much of them...LOL

    Thursday I had a little piece of my daughter's chocolate birthday cake, I didnt trip because I worked out like a maniac all week and I kept to 1000 cals a day, so I allowed a little piece of heaven....IT WAS SOOOOOO GOOD...lol

    Today is my Birthday (33 years young today..lol) and it will be a tricky day. Bday cake with co-workers later today. Bday cake at home dinner at favorite restaurant
    If I can make it through today, I PROMISE I will be good from now on...lol
    But I will take a cardio kickboxing class at 12:30 pm today, so i hope that negates some of this...LOL

    I hope all of you ladies are having a great day!!!!!

    Well, as for me - I am officially stuck at 187 but I know that I need to start tracking so that I can see where I can make changes. So, as of today I am back on point with the tracking. Hope to have a loss this time next week. =)

    Sherri - WELCOME!! You are going to really love it here. I do and I know that the others share that sentiment. As for hitting your plateau I was there at 193 and I am back there now...but what worked was changing up my routine. Which is exactly what I am going to do starting today and being honest and tracking every bite. What kind of diet are you following..maybe I can help?!

    Happy Belated Birthday Brooklyn!!!

    Hey everyone!!!

    The weekend was good. I went to a banquet with MIL on Friday night—the two piece I wore was noticeably big. I left there and stayed up late Friday night working on school work and didn't get to be until 3.

    Well, I woke up late Saturday and took hubby to work around 10 so I didn't take my pill on Saturday. Yesterday was church and hubby had to work from 3-7. I made him chicken alfredo and had just a tiny bit because of the carbs and I was fine. I had hubby to look at the scale Sunday morning with me and he was giving me high 5's and said he was proud of me. Even one of my church members asked what I was doing.

    OH, I almost forgot. A non-scale victory--I had been wearing wedge sandals and open toed shoes for the summer. Well, since my accident last year, I haven't gotten back in my heels. Well, I wore a pair of closed toe shoes to work on Friday and they were slipping off my feet and when I went to the banquet my heels (closed toe too) were too big. So, I am down a 1/2 size in shoes!!!! I got two new pair on Saturday.

    Clothes are a little bit looser but nothing that warrants me buying a new set of clothes—not yet anyway. A friend of mine is coming in town on Friday. So we are all getting together Friday night. We have been encouraging each other via text messaging to get the weight off. I am so looking forward to seeing her and some of my other friends—I haven’t a couple of them since December of last year.

And tell your husband to hush! LOL!!!! Men!

    Suite - I hope you get your voice back soon. In the meantime just use sign language to communicate with people. And me? Look at YOU! Not feeling 100% but still getting your workouts in? Awesome!!!! Knowing you, you'll break through your plateau in NO time!!!!

    LeJune - Yay!!!!! Doesn't it feel amazing to see your clothes getting too big??? And when other people notice...that's definitely a bonus! Congratulations on your progress so far!!!

    Nothing new to report with me. I'm back at work today and sneaking on to post to my girls. LOL!!! My heart has stopped at least 3 times since I started this post. I keep thinking my Director is walking up. He needs a freakin' bell arouns his neck! Sneaky creeper! *gasp* Crap...make that 4 times! Ugh! False alarm. LOL!

    I got on the scale and I noticed that I'm fluctuating between 198 and 200. TOTALLY my own fault!!! I need to be like Suite and be more conscientious about tracking meals and miles. Okay... I'm off to plan my week sliding into Halloween.

    I, too...will be back!!!

    Suburban....uhh..not so fast...I ****!!

    I dont know why the heck I let PMS get the best of me - after having a great day yesterday..I made my husband go to the dang store and buy me these little apple pastries that I love..he went and I ate each and every one =( I was so mad at myself afterwards...well, thank goodness today is a new day. Going to take a few days off exercise and really seriously focus on my diet since that is my biggest issue. I am going to get this right..I will...

    Suburban Mom and Suite - I so understand about stress and PMS.

    This weekend I gained 3 pounds. I guess it was the soda, and chicken pot stickers and was too embarrassed to say anything. I was just going to work my rudy tootie off and get back down. I got on the scale this morning and I am down 236.8. So, its okay to veer off momentarily but get back on.

    Everyone has been such an inspiration by keeping it real.

    Hubby is excited for me. He asked me today when was the last time I was 230 something. I told him, I think we had a fast and I starved myself and got down for a week and picked it all back up.

    Now granted you may be telling me all this stuff next week before I start.

    Good Morning Ladies

    Thank you for the birthday wishes ladies I had a great day

    Ive survived the birthday festivities...lol a small piece of strawberry shortcake and had a salad for dinner. Hubby order my favorite drink (cosmo) but I really didnt want it. But I felt bad, so I took a few sips only. Ok I got through that day.

    Ok, now things are at a stand still with my house purchase. Come to find out the damn sellers filed permits for work they had done in the home on 9/2?? WTF is that, we signed the contact on 8/14, believing all work was legal. NOW, our lawyer will not let us close until they get those permits approved by the bulding department this is stress I DO NOT need right now... 3 days before we are scheduled to close. (A BIG WOOOOOOSAAAAAAA) Need to breath because Im ready to go BALLISTIC on someone...

    Anywho, I have FAITH that it will work out. WHAT GOD has planned for me will BE for me...

    JUST VENTING A BIT LADIES, please forgive me...LOL

    Now Suburban, girl, refocus and regain your strength to KICK that STRESS to the CURB honey.. Maybe you can treat yourself to a nice full body massage and a mani/pedi. that always makes me feel better Dont eat too many of those fries

    Suite.. Dont stress over the apple pastry thing, as long as you come right back to doing what you need to do

    LeJune - great job on getting back on track after a not soo good weekend. congrats on the weight loss so far

    4 more days til Halloween and my goal was to be at 220.. Im going to do everything I can to make it there....

    Lets push ourselves over the next 4 days to lose SOMETHING
    Let try to get out exercises in, EAT good and say one positive thing about ourselves in the mirror every morning
    I know everyone here can do it.

    I am stressed out so much. My employees are messing up. My husband is so dam messy and I just tired of asking him to pick up stuff. Finances are so tight! My daughter, just had a baby, so it has been a big adjustment. The weather has been crappy, so much rain; it is miserable. I am up two pounds, mainly because I have been out with my girlfriend to get away from the house and have been drinking too many lite beers. Don't get me wrong, I love my family and husband, but sometimes...........I am sure so of you know where I am coming from. I really got to do some prayinig for strength. I am not aobut to let these things get me off track from being healthy.

    Sounds like everyone is dealing with a little stress.....I will keep everyone in my prayers.

    Bklyn - Sorry about your frustration....but I feel as you do..what is meant to be will be! I will keep you in my prayers. Closing on a home is one of the best days of your life...and I hope that it comes quickly so you can CELEBRATE!!!
    I am with you..I am pushing myself to at least lose 2 lbs by Halloween and that will put me at 185. I will take it..then I am really going to shoot for about 176 for Thanksgiving. I am on it!!

    BrandNew - Phew..you have a lot going on right now. It will pass...Sometimes things just build up..but remember that it WILL pass ((hugs))

    I have been following a high protein lo-carb diet, called the Island Diet. My clinic gave it to me. I have been following it for 11 weeks and lost 41.5 pounds so it is working. I am able to eat dairy and fruit; it is not as strict as the Atkins Diet.

    BrandNew - Island Diet? I got to look that up. My doctor just told me to take the pill and exercise. Husband issue - I thought they went to a class to be messy so that it would drive us crazy.

    BrooklynMommy - It will work out for your good. Just try not to stress too much. Getting a new home is stressful enough and now this--it makes you want to reach out and touch someone. BUT God is faithful as promised. Nothing just happens there is a reason that you can't see right now. But it will be okay.

    LeJune, I do not think the Island Diet is online. I tried to look it up for a friend of mine without success. It is based off eating wholesome, healthy foods, that are not processed. I eat lean chicken (breast), fish, seafood, turkey (white) and bison (occasionally). I eat two fruits a day, up to 15 servings of non-starchy veggies and three dairy. I can have only one egg a day, but can have egg beaters. I can have unlimited amounts of the meat if I am hungry, however, it cannot be fried or cooked in lots of butter. I do not eat red meat, rice, potatoes or white bread. I have learned many ways to cook food and flavor it without adding fat and lots of salt. It was really worked. I think I am stalling now because I have been slacking on my water intake. So I am back on track, so hopefully I see a loss soon.
