Good afternoon everyone. Well, I lost four more pounds! Woo-Hoo! I really see my goal in sight now. I joined an African Dance Class and it kicked my butt, but I felt good afterward. I also started an African Dance Workout in between days. So, I really feel like doing better with the exercise. I was going to go back to Phase I of my high protein diet, but I decided just to cut out one dairy serving a day and I started drinking more green tea. I feel so energized now that I am losing again. I also posted my BMI on my weight scale, because I have really made great gains on lowering my BMI. I am going to my husband's sister's birthday party in Brooklyn on February 6th, hope to get down to 205, by then!

Brandnew - you are on the right path! Good for you. It's wonderful to find an activity that you enjoy. I did kickboxing while living in CA and that made me feel confident and empowered. I wanted to take some ballet folkorico classes (traditional Mexican dance) but they don't have that here in NC.

Morning, Ladies!!

School has got me so busy right now. It figures my last semester would be the most demanding. I have 3 law classes..and so it is a lot of reading and writing. I really dont have time for much else.

I weighed in and I am down 1. I will take it because I am PMS'ing and feeling bloated and just yucky..lol..anyday now it will come and I can get on with the month..lol. I thought for sure I would be up. =)

BrandNew - You go girl! I am so happy that scale is moving right along again. Lots of hugs to you. =)

Tequila - ChaLEAN is going great. I am thrilled to say that I am actually completing my SECOND week...I have been doing it and folowing her rotation..so we shall see.

I have been doing much better with the eating. Eating every 3 hours and stopping a few hours before bedtime. I hope that makes the difference on the scale. I have a week to drop 5 lbs to meet my first goal..and if some of this bloaty feeling goes when my you know what comes..I think I will make it. =)

Okay...just had my cafe..off to do ChaLEAN and get in a run.

Hi Ladies, How has everyone been? Im good, and the scale if finally moving again !! I'm so happy for that. The weekend is here and im looking forward to moving on with my weight loss because usaully i goof up on the weekends. Seems like i can do much better throughout the week and on the weekend i mess up but not this time , im keeping my head up.
I was back up to 232 pounds last week after gaining for some reason , but i started a phen break where i only take it every other day and today im back to 226.0 on the scale.YaY!!!! I would like to make it to 220 by the 29th of January thats 1 week away. Let's see if i can do it , i'll keep you guys posted with results.

I found out today, that my co-worker who has family in Haiti, has lost ten family members. My co-worker is very sweet and I my heart goes out to her. People at work are gathering up donations for the Haiti crisis and making a donation to her as well.

On a lighter note, I weigh in tomorrow and hope to have lost at least 2 more pounds. Well see!

Vals-I am keeping my head up and "yes" we all can do this!
Suite- Congrats on that pound! You are probably down much more than that, but with the bloating you just can't see it yet!

Yae! The scale finally moved in my favor within the past 3 weeks. I gained some weight after the holidays (of course) and I lost that weight plus an additional 4 pounds.

Brandnew - when I saw on the news that Haiti had a 7.0 I cried on the spot. I immediately knew that quake would be of apocolyptic proportion. I made a donation the very next morning. Prayers for your co-worker, her family and everyone involved.

Val & Suite - you ladies seem to be on the right track, that's awesome. Stay positive!

Hi Ladies, I have been MIA. I have had a lot going on in the last few weeks. But things are getting better. I am in the process of moving. Once I get settled with this move, I am determined to start back with my weight loss goals. My weight is back up to 196. I haven't been taking the phen which is a good thing because I think once I restart it will be like jump starting my body again. Congratulations to all you ladies who are losing!!!! Hi everyone! I will check back in tomorrow. Hubby is on my computer most evenings and I can’t figure out how to use the site on my blackberry. I will download a different browser and see if that works.

Everyone at the office is starting to notice my weight loss now which is good. This weekend was beautiful, me and my friends actually jogged/walked the bayou Saturday. It is supposed to be colder this weekend. BUMMER!!!! I am at a stall—I got to up my cardio and see if that gets me over the hump.

Funny side note—Drama with MIL this weekend. My workout buddies and I had decided we all with families were going out Sunday after church. Well, hubby’s uncle came in town with his new wife. The new wife bd was Sunday and his was Monday. MIL wanted to go to eat and told me after church, I let hubby know and he was like we already have plans. I told him—if we don’t go with the uncle it will be ugly. Well, he didn’t believe me and told MIL and she had a fit. Needless to say, my plans was rescheduled and only one of the buddies went with us. Okay, I know everyone thinks I exaggerate and no family could possibly be like this well. There were 10 us at the table. My friend saw everything and said—I thought you were exaggerating but OMG!! She told me she will never go out with me again to a family function with his family. Especially since hubby and another family member were snapping pictures like crazy at the table like it was a game—who can get the best surprise photo. She sent me a text message saying I can see why you get frustrated. We laughed so hard during our workout yesterday about it. I keep telling her before you get married—you need to do a thorough investigation of his family. LOL.

Hi All,

I have spent the last few days packing and more packing!lol. I have not been doing much of anything lately. I am not sure what my weight is, although I did weigh myself at work a few nights ago and it read 197. I'm up, but I was happy not to see the scale over 200.lol. I have not made it back to the gym yet. However, my weight is still a priority for me and I am going to join the gym once again in the coming weeks. Oh well, I'm rambling. I hope that you ladies are doing well. Although, I don't always post, I do check in to see how everyone is doing. Ladies, summer will be here before we know it and I have definitely got to bring my sexy back.lol!! Will check in later!

Hi ladies,

I havent forgot about ya'll , How is everyone doing? Im good, just still here trying to make it out of the 220's . Seems like it'll never happen but i know it will. I was just thinking ive kept a journal from day 1 phen and was reading it , i struggled through the 250's and made it! The 240's and made it ! The 230's and made it! Wow even though 30 pounds don't seem like much when i read my journal, i have to pat myself on the back. Ive really done good and proud of myself.
When ever i hit a stall to get out of those numbers i read that i had to push myself to do more excercise and that's what got me into the next numbers, so i know just what ive got to do. I'm pushing myself to get to the 220's by February 22,2010 , i can do it !

I don't know why i doubt myself sometimes, If any of you ladies have ever kept a journal , i would suggest you read and study where you went wrong to get to the next level.

Val, you are doing such an awesome job. You only have about seven pounds before you are out of the 220's and I know you can do it. Hey Val! I know how frustrating it is...BELIEVE me...we have to stay focused. My friend with the lap band just hit 100 lbs lost in 11 months..and my sister just had her surgery last week...she is already down 20..because of the liquid diet she was put on before the surgery...ugh...it makes me so sad inside...I know they have help but geez...I am trying..I wont give up..I just cant.

Hi Suite ,

You know i was thinking about surgery , then i decided that it's not for me. I can do this on my own because this will be something for the rest of my life that i have to learn how to control without all the ups and downs surgery don't tell you about. My girlfriend had surg back in june 09 and she's loss over a 100 pounds, which is great but people who have surgery go through alot and it all boils down to an eating disorder, Now that im sure i dont have. My problem was making the right choices and excercise. The full feeling comes with the Phen but even through my breaks with phen i learned to train my stomach after every bite of food to feel fuller.

Plus i don't want anymore surgeries, last year before Phen i was down 4 months because of 3 abdominal surgerys. The only surg i want to have is a (TUMMY TUCK) OMG do i want it!

Good morning ladies,


I went to the doc on yesterday and got another prescription of phen. I told her that I wanted to start working out again but she suggested that I work on my food program first. I can totally agree with that as I have been eating like food is running away. Over the next two weeks, I am going to eat better. I really would love to get the rest of this weight off. Sometimes this weight struggle can really make you look at surgery twice.lol. It would be so much easier...oh well, a girl can dream! Will check in later and see what everyone is up to.

Hi ladies! I'm back and trying to stay on top of things a bit better. I haven't been eating enough, sleeping enough, exercising OR getting my water over the last month, so my weight loss has been very slow, but I am grateful I haven't gained. I'm down and going to step things up in the coming weeks. I'm also re-evaluating my goals and starting a new challenge later this week with the ladies I met via the onederland challenge I started.

So, I need to catch up:
Val - congrats, congrats! I'm so happy for you. Best of luck getting to the 220's next week! Will you exercising more or what?

Waiting2Exhale - I need to work on a food plan too. What type will you be doing?

Suite - Don't give up, you are doing wonderfully. Focus on how great you've done vs comparing it to your sister's surgery.

Hi Everyone,

Emceee2u: Sometimes it is so easy to get thrown off track, but we have to get back in the saddle and keep moving forward. I have been drinking a lot of sodas lately and it really does seem to me that they have me tired all the time. Has anyone else experienced this? Or is it a fragment of my imagination.lol. On a more positive note, I made it to the gym yesterday and worked out for 30 minutes on the TM. Perhaps, we should start a challenge. Any ideas? Oh well, will check in later.

Hey everybody. Still crazy around here.

I am headed to LA on Thursday so I will be out of pocket for 6 days. No, hubby is not going. Me and workout buddies + a couple more people. Still eating right working out. Getting enough water and pooping is still my issue.

I am so thankful for workout buddies they have really helped me alot. They are really sweet one is single and the other is married with 2 kids. Well, we one the challenge at the trainers. Matter of fact, one of the trainers wouldn’t speak to us and was hanging over me as I weighed in on Friday. LOL. Why was he hating!. We beat his client, I believe he lost a total of 7%. One of my partners lost 8.11% and I lost 8.9%. LOL Too funny. I trainer who we call Bob now, actually lost his mind the last two weeks because he wanted the prize for the trainer whose client one. Well, they say technically it was a tie but I say let her win. We get ½ off next month’s fee. LOL

You know we will be working out because all three of us are in the room together AND the one with kids is an over achiever—she has to feel the burn and be tired before she will let us stop. She will probably have us in there twice a day.

My weight loss has been really noticeable lately especially here in the office. LOL. So I calculated it and I have lost a total of 45 pounds—35 since phen.

I was so hoping to be a 199 by now but and my next goal was for 210 by the 2/14 and I was kind of bummed by both. I had a little set back last week with my leg. I was limping something terrible and I probably pulled something and I am doing better now. Hubby in his own way tried to encourage me by saying you weren’t this size when we got married, when was the last time you were 215 in the 90’s? I wanted to hit him but you know, it feels good to have some of your 18’s fall off of you. The jeans I bought in November are sagging, my pants and pant suit are both loose. I think I mentioned I had a dress made last year in December the shell is too big now, I needed the jacket let out in the arms but now—so she didn’t do anything to the jacket I probably can wear it now with no problems.

I will read the boards and check in.

Lejune: It sounds like you are right on track!!!Keep up the good work!!! Half off at the gym is awesome. That trainer was just mad because the three of you were doing it without a trainer and still lost a great percentage of body fat. Who says you need a trainer?! You go girl!!!!

Good morning ladies,

I made it to the gym after work this morning and worked out on the treadmill for 30 minutes. I am dogged tired now, so I'm getting off the computer and check back in later.

Goal for Wednesday: 100 ounces of water and a piece of fruit.

LeJune, you are working it out, twin! Congrats to you. I can feel the excitement in your post, so definitely keep up the good work. Sorry to hear about your leg too.

Waiting2Exhale, congrats to you too. I'm praying I get it together soon as this is the longest I've gone without working out in a very long time. I've also been vegging out on cookies the past two days, so I know I'm messing up, but I'm too unmotivated to stop myself. I go to the doctor tomorrow too, so I'm a bit nervous over that.

I like the idea of a fitness challenge too and there's another one going on via another thread I thought of joining. I'm trying not to spread myself too thin though. So definitely let me know if you're doing something here because I'll just join you and I'm sure twin will be interested. Right, LeJune?

I started phen yesterday and am determined to take this weight off. I know this challenge started earlier, but I am going to try to take 10 off by 02/27/2010!

I am currently 246 and want to be 145 BAD, so bad I can taste it!!!

Hi Brio and welcome, im sure you'll meet your goal. This is a great place for motivation and everyone here is on the same journey as you. What exactly are you doing? Calories, excercise?? I have been trying to maintain 3 times per week with excercise but im making myself a goal to excercise for 7 days straight, something ive never done but always wanted to do.

VAL--I am just watching what I eat and walking on the treadmill. My weaknesses are Double Chocolate Chip Frappos from Starbucks and any kind of chocolate and snacking a lot throughout the day. Since I work from home, it is so easy to stop and snack whenever, but I have been really good this week. I weigh everyday, LOL, I cant help myself. Monday I weighed 246 and today, the scale said 238.5! CAN THIS BE RIGHT??? My meals this week have consisted generally of a slimfast for breakfast, black pepper turkey (YUMMO) and pepperjack cheese sandwich for lunch, baked hamburger patty with 1/4 cup of green beans and 1/2 cup of garlic mashed potatoes. No side effects of the medication except dry mouth and I have so much energy, LOL. I got up at 630 am yesterday, had 2 classes, came home, worked, went to bed about midnight, watched TV until almost 5 am, dozed off and woke up when I got a text at 7 am, have been up ever since and not tired at all.

I am just wondering if this 7.5 weight loss by my scale is right! I know the first time I took this med, I didnt do ANYTHING to aid weight loss, kept right on eating what I wanted and NO exercise and I lost 13 pounds! If my scales are right, I AM HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!!

Your loss is very encouraging to me! I dont know if I could exercise 7 days, but may give it a whirl next week. Hoping to head to Savannah to see my oldest son this weekend.

Hi everyone. I know I have been gone for a while and have SOOO Busy! Being busy has completely affected my weight loss. I have only lost 2 pounds in weeks, but I am back on track. My doctor has finally put me on a higher dosage. I am taking it around 12pm everyday to stop the cravings I get at night, it seems to be working and I am still sleeping. I wanted to be 199 by now, but I am going to keep working at it. My friend has paired up with me so we can support each other. The first one to lose the first ten pounds, gets an reward. The reward is going someplace of the person's choice, the museum, dinner, the club, wherever. So we will see how that goes. I miss talking to everyone.

BrandNewMe: Glad to see you back. How much phen are you taking now? I was thinking that I may also need a higher dose. It just seems that the 37.5 is not working anymore. I think my body has become tolerant of it.
