For constipation a few cups of green tea a day help me. And for the hemorhoids..whatever you do DONT push that makes them worse. Try Preparation H and sit sideways on the toilet. Hope you feel better!

I've heard of some that get constipated on Phen...I've never experienced this personally, but, I have heard its common...be careful not to strain too hard..are you getting enough fiber in your diet??? Are you drinking enough water??? You could probably get a stool softener or laxative from Walmart or one of those places that might make things a little easier! Good luck

yeah it does happen.. and quite often. If you read many forums and websites, phentermine is combined with a weekly stool softener..just to get things moooving! If you are looking for a more natural way.. Activia yogurt. This will make you flow!! and I mean FLOW!! Who ever thought little container of yogurt could be so powerful =)

prune juice is nasty but pear has the same effect.. so i would suggest pear juice, or even eating alot of fresh/canned whatever pear...

i would avoid wipping while you have the hemriods, try using a squirt bottle and just lightly with warm water spray yourself.. pat lightly to towel dry and use that cream. ( mostly advice i got from having a baby but it relates)

it will prob sting but i would use an epson salt bath too just sit your bum in there..

salt water does amazing things for our body

I learned this once in nursing school and it works really well. We would mix it for post-operative patients who haven't pooped yet.

Mix equal parts of apple, prune, and grape juice. Microwave until warm and drink. The apple and prune juces are higher in fiber and the combination of apple and grape juice masks the flavor of the prune juice if it is something that you don't like. I don't know why but it works better when it is warm. From what I have heard from patients, it tastes pretty good.

Of course, drink water and incorporate more fiber in your diet. I really love the fiber one bars. They are really good and about 30% of your daily fiber needs. You can also use things like BeneFiber that you can mix into food/drink that have no taste. If you are looking for a stool softener, anything with docusate is good. It doesn't stimulate your GI tract, it just encourages water to enter the gastric lumen and makes stools easier to pass (sorry...a little too clinical!). MiraLax also works pretty much the same way. Both are pretty safe if you use them as directed. I work in pediatrics and both are given to our kids pretty regularly.

Also, if you are taking a multivitamin or an iron supplement with phentermine, it may increase constipation as vitamins and iron supplements are notorious for causing constipation.

No prob. I am having a similar problem as well. No with the hemorrhoids but with constipation. I haven't had any discomfort per se so I guess that is a good thing! Hope it works well for you!
