No experience here either. I hope he gets better soon and I hope you find some answers! I am assuming you have done some research online? What have you found out there? How old is he?

thank you for your well wishes! Danny is 6 years old. On June 17 we removed a tick from his arm.. It was so tiny I was surprised to have found it!. we kept a watch full eye on him and as of this past Wendsday we found a rash on his arm at the tick location. Doctors here are so back woods. there attitude is his symptoms are atypical. but they do present in all medical literature. they are refusing to start treatment until all lab work comes back. I can understand that but, they are treating my next door neighbor's little gorl with proper meds....she found tick 3 days before Dannys. they treated hers before her results because hers were typical. What truly ****s is how do you explain to a six year old...I know your heart is hurting, but mommy cant help you!

I work at a hospital. Things will be well as long as he was treated early. Lyme never goes away. It stays there. It was just featured on the show Mystery Diagnosis. Dont Worry! I Will keep you and Danny in my prayers!

i will keep him in my prayers as well, i'm so sorry.

i do know its managable. but i do not know much about it.

i would suggest doing as much research online as possible as well as searching things like talk to children about illness things like that. if he seams to have alot of difficulty with it maybe you can do some counciling with him.

kids are pretty tough and hes at a great age to adapt cause he wont really know what he lost hell just know its as a norm to treat his problem.

my friends daughter is type 1 diabetic, and she is 8 years old, by the age of 3 she would plug the needle into her belly on her own, she has to do this 3 time a day and check her sugars ALOT. if she gets just a small cold she has to be admitted to the er. but this little girls is happy and strong..

you son will be fine, its prob going to be hardest on you.. you are in my prayers too maybe you should see if there are support groups near you for your son and allso for you.
