New outfits, including dresses!

Ok so I finally went out and bought a dress to wear to the courthouse in 2 weeks when I get married. Now I havent worn a dress since prom and I was a bit bigger then. I am a bit self conscious as always.I bought two dresses and I dont think I will wear the blue one out into public until I feel comfortable..my family tells me I look amazing but I just dont see it. I also bought a skirt and a shirt from rue 21, the skirts a 13/14 and I never thought I would fit in them because the store tends to run small..so anyways enough of my babble..tell me what you think. The blue/green dress is sort of a "goal" dress I think. I want to wear the red/purple one to the courthouse..Ignore my greasy face..I was sweating to death!

Aly, girl you know you look amazing in all 3!!!! yes, i love love the purply,rosy one for the courthouse,,,,,, very ladylike, and Congratulations to you and your honey by the way....... the blue looks hot on you,,,,, but I know how you feel we have the same body type,,,, and I know I am very self conscious about my thigh,butt,hip area,,,, trust me it looks good,,,,,,, but to me that's more of a club dress,,you should let me borrow that for Vegas,,, ha ha !!!! and the skirt and shirt,,,, is sooo cute, i would love to get someting like that,,, it reminds me of junior high.... i love it!!!

hehe thanks! Yeah I am aiming to wear the blue dress maybe for the club or something on my birthday in october..we'll see..yes I am very aware of my lower body..I guess I just have to think of how far I have come and how much worse stuff I have seen others wear out in public lol. I love that the 80's are coming back somewhat..I love the bright colors and animal prints lol.

, the braces are getting my smile better and better every month giving me more confidence. Were gonna get married in the courthouse in 2 weeks but going to have a wedding in a year or so.

girl you can wear that dress to the club now! I hope what i said didn't come across the wrong way,,,, I just meant that i know how we tend to be so self conscious about it so we don't see ourselves the way others do.... I think the dress looks great NOW!!! and yes, You have come a long way, and you look great! YEAH, i love the 80's too,,,,,! take care!

Aly, LOVE the blue dress--va va va vooom!! You're smokin' hot in that dress and I totally think you could wear that now, but you need to feel comfortable. And the pink dress is SO pretty on you--love it!

I was suprised to see you were getting married so soon b/c I thought it was several months away, but that makes sense now that your wedding is in a year. Glad you're having a wedding too! You'll be a beautiful bride both times. Congratulations!

Thanks everyone who commented! I had to look at those pics over and over to believe it was acctually me in them. I wore the skirt and shirt all day on Saturday and got a bunch of comments on my weight loss and a couple of head turns from my bfs coworkers. I'm very happy to have come this far, especially after going through a misscarriage.
