Default What kind of exercises are you doing?

I take a pole dancing class 3-4 times a week, I also take an bootcamp style workout class 2 days a week, play softball 1-2 times a week, and ride my bike 2-3 times a week (5 mile ride minimum).

Some occasions I'll take a once a week dance class and water aerobics class.

    I'm usually busy.

Right now I'm doing weights and cardio.

4 days of weight training upper body 2 days and lower body 2 days...(abs on all 4 days)
    Cardio 2x's a week for 50 minutes.

In the gym I burn an average of 10 calories per minute according to my HeartRate monitor....

I should start walking the beach, but it's so hot and humid lately...ugh.

    Started on June 29th.

I do bootcamp twice a week lead by my trainer, a "booty" class once a week, also with my trainer, yoga twice a week, I try to work out at the gym 40 minutes a day, and then my husband and I generally walk a couple miles every night. I also ride my bike alot.

I walk 6 days a week--I'm up to 5 miles a day, today I started jogging part way. And I do the 30 day shred 3x a week. I need to get into the gym to switch things up, I just don't like doing cardio indoors.

Sunshine--I know what you mean about the heat/humidity b/c I'm in S. FL., but I use it to my advantage...it makes you sweat more and makes the workout harder. I figure more sweat and hard work equals bigger weight loss.

I have to ask - how is that pole dancing class. I soooo want to do that. But do you feel totally stupid doing . My Dh said he would love to put a pole in the room for practice which is really surprising to me.

I do Biggest loser bootcamp 3 days a week and Shred 3 days a week

It's actually really fun and very tiring. I leave classes sweating a lot. In the beginning I felt pretty stupid doing it to because in the class I take a lot of the girls already know what they're doing...I've been doing it for about 3 months and at the beginning I couldn't do anything on it, now I can climb the pole, do basic spins, and even 'pole sits'. So I do feel myself getting stronger.

I have a treadmill so when the weather doesnt permit me to hit the pavement I run on that...3 miles - I do that everyday without fail-Occasionally I take a day off from working out totally.

I do the firm workouts 4 days a week and then follow that with step aerobics. Spinning twice a week. I workout sometimes twice a day because I just love it.

I work out 6 days a week (and try to take my dog for an extra long walk on the 7th day)

I do The Firm 5 days in the AM when i wake up, but I am doing the light weight/cardio ones (old Firmies know this as the Hare tapes)

Monday nights I take kickboxing and pilates
Tuesday nights I do the stair climber and take Zumba class
Thursday nights it is Zumba and power yoga
and on Saturdays I do pilates and ball sculpt.

I really enjoy my workouts and now I have the energy to keep up with them.

I love my 30 day shred and I try to do it 2-3 times a week. When its nice outside I try and speed walk 3-4 miles and if its raining or nasty outside I do 30 minutes on my exercise bike.

Just started walking in the neighborhood, 3.22 miles last night with wrist weights. It doesn't seem like much compared to others here but I am barely starting......

What is the Shred that everyone keeps talking about? I walk my three dogs twice a day for several miles (never clocked it but know it is far). I also use my stability ball and bosu ball for cardio and toning. I am going to try and make my morning walk a jog by the end of July. I plan to start now by jogging until I can't and then walking to recover and then start jogging again and hopefully by the end of July I will be able to jog the whole walk distance and then add some more distance.

I am also doing the 30 day shred DVD. As for what it is...This is video by Jillian Michaels, the trainer from Biggest Loser. It is a 20 minute workout, doing high intensity intervals of cardio, strength, and abs. I didn't think it could be that bad, since it is only 20 minutes (everyone can find that much time), but you get a real workout!! The first time I did it I almost died (felt sore in places I didn't even know I had muscles!), each time since it is a bit easier. The DVD has 3 levels. I even made my husband do it, he is in good shape and found it tough! The nice thing about it is you don't have to spend a lot of time, the exercises are basic (no moves to learn), only thing you need are hand weights and a tv. Try it... it is great. She also has other DVD's I have heard great things about, but I like that this one doesn't take long and I can do it while the kids nap.

Aside from that I walk 4.25 miles in an hour and 15 minutes every day.
