    Amen to that! If you don't like the taste you can put some lemon, lime, honey (just a bit), Crystal Light (which a umpteen flavors, or Nutrilite makes several flavors of twist tubes that taste great & have vitamins http://nprevatt1.qhealthbeauty.com

    There are a lot of things you can do to get it down. My only prob is after downing my H2O I have a hard time bending over and doing anything because it wants to come back up! Yuck!

    Hey all!!

    Sorry I've been MIA the past few days! I went home to go to King's Island and then yesterday I was going to go to the fair, but it rained and stormed all day, so I just came home instead. I thought I posted on here Friday night from my phone, but I don't see it anywhere, so I guess not. I did ok eating the past few days. Not great, but ok. Gotta get back on track tomorrow. I go back to the Dr. on the 20th, so I need to have some good numbers to show her! Speaking of which, I need to get my chicken going to take to work tomorrow.

    Well week two is down and I weighed in this morning. Down to 197 another 5lbs lost since last week. That is a total of 11 lbs in two weeks. I see the Dr. tomorrow so maybe I can be down another lb or 2 by then. My husband was saying this weekend how he can tell my face, arms and legs all look thinner. That was nice to hear that a difference can already be seen. I am excited to continue this journey!

    Morning folks, today I'm weighing in at 216.8, down 15.2 lbs since I started on July 2! Not bad 15 lbs in 11 days. I'm increasing my exercise and continuing to watch my diet. Exercise and water is key!

    Good morning! Well my weight has been the same for about 9 days now! I was a little disappointed to say the least this morning. I don't see my doc for another 11 days. I am wondering if I've hit my plateau already.

    It's great to see so many of you droping lb's really fast. Keep up the good work!

    Default Blah, Blah Blah . . .

    Well, TOM is still here and I haven't dropped an ounce. Bummer. But at least I am still holding steady. I haven't taken Phen in SEVERAL days now. My doctor's office swears she called it in, and supposedly tried more than once, but my pharmacy still doesn't have it on file.

    I haven't eaten one single bite of anything that I shouldn't since June 6, so I'm still doing pretty darn good. If you think about it, coming from where I was that is really saying a lot. I made Mac & Cheese for my hubby over the weekend, and that is a big weakness of mine. I wanted a bite soooooo bad. But I didn't. I just ate my little dinner and I was fine with it. I had an appointment with my doctor this morning, but I had to reschedule. I'm kinda glad of that. Maybe by Friday when I do go in, I will have lost a little more.

    Hubby and i started exercising together over the weekend. He's in awesome shape and he gets a lot of exercise at work. (He builds, repairs and inspects cell phone towers. He has to climb at least 350 feet on a tower before he can even start a job, and sometimes it's a lot more than that.) But he knows that I have kinda been at a loss as to where to start, so we jumped in together.

    He's really great about it, too. I don't get any sort of condescending attitude from him, even though he is in such great shape. And he doesn't yell or bark orders either. He just stands there and helps me make sure my form is good, and then shows me how to make an exercise tougher. He used to be a Muay Thai (kickboxing) Sensei, and I am thinking about getting him back into it by teaching me.

    I'm hoping that my hiatus from Phen will do me some good. It's a little difficult to keep my mind where it ought to be without it. Maybe once I finally get it refilled, that won't be an issue.

    Carolee im sorry to hear the the pharmacy hasnt got the scipt yet .... just keep calling your doctor or give you doc the pharmacy hours so he/she can call directly and speak to a pharmacist! Keep up the good work.....btw do u find yourself not hungry when ur not on phen? some days i dont take it and im not hungry at all!

    I would like to join in if that's ok I love these boards, there's soo many inspirational stories and it keeps me motivated! I started phen on July 5th @ 235lbs and have dropped 12lbs.
    I have a question for those of you on the depo shot, do you stop losing or gain when it's "supposed" to be TOM?



    My second time around and this time NO excuses! Lost 23.5lbs in a month and a half then blew it and gained almost everything back

    I am still on TOM as well so I have not lost anymore wieght. I am still at a 7lb loss but i am hoping my Friday I will have lost more, that is my 3 week mark on phen. I go see the doctor the following Tuesday, hoping I will have some good news to report to him.

    Hi everyone I'm new here, I've been reading a little bit but finally decided to join and post. I started phentermine on June 29th along with lipoetrics shots. I went for my first weigh in on Sat and have lost 8 pds . I couldn't believe the scale, but I did notice it on my clothes fitting better and a few people commented on it too.

    I'm looking to loose about 45 pounds. A little backgroung on me, I've been thicker than most all my life. I was already overweight when I got pregnant in 2007 then I gained 54 maybe even more with it but thank God lost like 40 of that with ease then the other 14 I lost though diet and exercise so I've been stuck at my pre-pregnancy weight for a while. I finally decided to get a little jump start with phentermine, after my doc told me I am borderline diabetic, I also started to have chest pain.

    Anyways after seeing those 8 pounds come off it gives me even more motivation to give it my all and make a lot of lifestyle adjustment.

    Looking forward to going through this journey with you all.

    Well after my first week on Phen, I went to the Dr. this morning and weighed in and got my second B-12 Shot.

    I LOST 5LBS, I was so excited That means I have 7lbs to go until I reach my mini goal of 12 by my birthday 7/28/09

    Hi all-I started phen on June 14th and so far I have lost 5 pounds =( - I haven't been able to excercise as much as I would like to though - I get to the gym about 2 or 3 times a week and focus on cardio with some weights added as well. I eat extremely well during the week and give myself a LITTLE slack on the weekends. I started phen bc being as I eat very healthy during the week and get to the gym every week it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to lose weight.

    Are the people who are losing alot of weight using doctor prescribed phen or are they buying it on the internet? I take 37.5mg of phen********the white pills with blue specs...anyone else? Also- what are you doing every week in and out - how many times a day do you eat and what do you eat? What sort of excercise are you doing too? Hopefully I can start to have more time to get to the gym after this week...(going to ocean city, MD thursday).

    Yeah, it kinda stinks. But it's ok. I am not really hungry. I am getting a little craving once in a while, but definitely nothing that I can't handle. I still haven't strayed, even with hubby's Oreo Cookie Pudding Packs in the house. I think perhaps I am married to the devil. LOL!

    I'm glad to know that I am not the only one who won't lose anything until TOM is totally gone. I hate that. But at least I didn't gain anything. In the next day or so, I hope to see that scale drop a little more.

    Carolee, I'm with you on the temptations, I have devotedly (not sure if that is a word but you know what I mean) turned away from temptations, it's unbelievable! and each morning when I get up I think "wow I did it another day!" it's wonderful. I'm staying away from the scale until Friday so I don't get disappointed if I haven't dropped in weight I feel so good I want to continue to feel this way and I know I am being true to my diet and exercising so I have to lose,,,it is just going to take time.

    I'm in my fourth week.

    Well I'm taking PhenD. I take 1 35mg pill twice a day at 10am and again at 4pm. I usually eat a light breakfast around 8am at my desk. That will be either yogurt, pineapples or granola bar. I'm also drinking tons of water, I'm always running to bathroom at work and home. I usually eat lunch around noon and that is maybe a lean cuisine or a salad at home with fat free dressing and plain tuna. I get off at 5pm and I usually go for my 20-30 min walk around 6:30 pm and I'm eating my light dinner at 7pm. I've been eating either chicken breast, salmon or talapia with a salad. The last two days I've tried long grain wild rice instead of salad just to mix it up. That is what I did for one week and I lost 5 pounds. I was actually only able to walk three times last week because I work a second job. The nights I work my second job I'm eating kind of late but it's retail so I'm walking around the store a lot.

    The main thing that has helped me is putting smaller portions on my plate. I make sure and drink a whole bottle of water before I get up and that way I'm not wanting to go back for seconds.

    I'm sorry you have that stall there Carolee. Hopefully med issue and all will be fixed soon. I have added the 5-HTP and wow I think it has helped the cravings and mood so much! I had to find out how to take it because it made me sleepy during day, as it is a sleep aid too, but now I take at bedtime and sleep good to. It's sure worth a try if you haven't already.

    I haven't tried it. I looked into it last week and wondered what benefit it would be since it is for mood and sleep. I don't really have trouble sleeping - Thank God. But I guess the broken scale in my bathroom tells the tale of my moods sometimes. haha!!

    Although I broke the scale, it still works. Kinda. The cover is gone. I stepped on it immediately afterward, and it gave the same reading. Who knows. I'll find out for sure on Friday at my doctor's office. One thing, a trend really, that I notice is that when I stall, my body realigns the fat. It's weird. It's like I lose, lose, lose, and then my body rearranges the fat that's left while I am on a stall. I am wearing a pair of pants I was only barely able to get into two weeks ago. Another week, and I might not be able to wear them at all. I washed them, and so I was worried that they would shrink. They are a summer weight wool, but supposedly washable. This morning, I was prepared to do a little bit of squeezing to get the hooks latched, but nope. They aren't tight. In fact, they are baggy as all get-out. These are 14s I'm talking about. You know what this means? It means that I am just about ready to try on my old favorite pair of size 12 Old Navy Jeans. WOOooot!

    You see, I am comfy at a 12. I can breathe. I can dress up and go out and be perfectly happy with how I look. Everything beyond that is just a bonus.

    I am doing Callanetics every night now. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Callanetics. I swear, there is nothing that compares to it for tightening everything up. I mean, my legs are getting noticeably more toned, my arms are less flabby and even my belly is looking like it's being pulled up and in. If any of you have never tried it, please do. In 4 weeks, you will have results that take months with regular exercises.

    Hi all, i'm new to phen. I started June 7th, and have lost 8lbs. I guess thats pretty good, but i find myself starving myself. I'm just not hungry. last thurs (i work nights) night i realized i had only had a sandwich with mustard in a 24 hour period. Then another day, before i realized it, i had only eaten an orange and a banana...then made myself eat dinner.

    The dr wants me on a 1200 cal diet with 1 free meal per week. He said i can go to a restaurant, not do this at home and have anything i want to eat, including alcohol while im sitting at the table. I tried this one day..i ate 1 cheese enchilada and some chips..lol...that would have been a small appetizer in previous life.

    Anyway..my friends are losing more than i am...i'm a big girl..205 5'6"...down to 195.5..but i once wieghed 275 (lost on atkins 10 yrs ago)...they eat more than i do.

    I'm also 45 yrs old, so i know my metabolism ****s...plus i have polycistic ovarian disease, so im insulin resistant (hence atkins works so well..but i cant do it anymore, to restrictive).

    What are you guys doing to make yourself eat? I dont want to slow down because the body goes into starvation mode! I chase around a 16month old all day, so i dont really do any excersize but that. Wonder if i ate 2 more calorie laden meals..and 1 snack?

    Its the noon meal i cant eat...just can NOT eat it! I did go to chickfila and got a fried chicken sandwich for 450 cal and a fruit cup 70 cal yest morning..but then didnt eat dinner. ugh

    I went through that with not eating. It eases up. Now, I eat all my meals. For me, what worked was planning everything ahead. I buy all my meals for the upcoming week on Friday. I get frozen diet dinners--one for lunch and one for dinner each day. I drink a protein drink every morning for breakfast. I keep fresh fruit and raw almonds for snacks. If I have everything ready ahead of time, I don't have to think about it. Sometimes I still forget to eat, but it's not as bad as it was. But you have to eat. If you don't, not only will your loss slow but you'll start losing healthy muscle mass. If you can't eat a traditional meal, try very small meals throughout the day. I could never ever do a "cheat" day. That would wreck me. If I am changing, I need to totally change. Having a cheat meal would make me constantly think about that type of food.

    I'm 41. I know everyone talks about the metabolism thing, but I swear--from everything I read here, age doesn't seem to make that much of a difference. I just started exercising a few days ago, but I'm losing a lot faster than some really young people here who exercise religiously. I can't say enough that muscle is the key to a faster metabolism. Build up the muscle and eat right, and the rest will take care of itself. Cardio is important for other reasons. I wouldn't count on it for using fat stores, though. Building and strengthening muscle is what makes the permanent difference. Cardio only burns up fat stores while you are doing it and shortly thereafter. Build that muscle, and your metabolism will take off and stay that way 24 hours a day for as long as you keep your muscles in shape.

    Here is my big theory about being over 35 and having a slower metabolism. I believe it has happened because of years and years of yo-yo dieting. Each time a person loses a lot of weight in an unhealthy way (aka-starving) that person loses a tremendous amount of muscle bulk along with the fat. Then we all know that the weight often comes right back on, and often with a few more pounds than before. But when that weight comes back on, that person is not returning to his or her former self--they are enlarging those old fat cells again, without enlarging those muscle cells too! So what they have is a larger, flabbier body than it was before the last starvation diet. Muscle uses fat stores, but with the next diet there is less muscle to use the fat so it's harder to lose. So more starvation and more muscle lost on the next diet, and each time it gets worse and worse as the muscle tissue goes away. So it makes sense that a person over 35 would have a harder time losing weight, but not just because they are older. It's because of the damage done from previous diets which wrecks their metabolism by muscle loss.

    I got so toned and fit when I lost 50 pounds several years ago that I became one of those people who could eat anything. I was that way for probably 5 years. When it started creeping back was when I took a desk job and stopped exercising.

    On another topic, I haven't lost an OUNCE since July 8, but I measured again tonight and I am seriously losing inches! I've lost an inch off my waist, 1 1/2 inches off my hips, an inch off my bust (Thank GOD) and lots of little half and quarter inches off other areas. From the places I measure regularly, I have lost a total of 5 1/2 inches. For not losing one single pound in that same time period, that's pretty darn good. I wish I had started measuring at the beginning. It would be nice to see the comparison from then.

    I took my first phen pill today. I am at 175 and looking to lose at least 40 pounds. I can only hope that this works as well for me as it has for others. In the meantime I have started back walking and drinking lots of water. I think all of you guys are GREAT and this web site is even greater. I look forward to posting my winning numbers along with all of you.

    Hey there everyone!

    Well...I've been doing really good till the evenings and then I know I need to eat so I eat whatever I can find. Last night I had some left over olive garden. It's like I KNOW I shouldn't eat it, but it is just so good...UGH...I HATE IT!!! This weekend I HAVE to plan what I'm going to do next week. That will help me get my priorities!!!!

    I didn't gain, but didn't lose either! So we'll see...

    Yeah, I think when we start Phen we go through that 'starvation' phase, please don't get too stressed about it, it will pass. However, you will lose weight on this part of the phase but because your body will go into starvation mode it will start keeping all food as fat because that's what your body does in starvation mode to protect itself--you really do need to try to get your 1000-1200 calories in everyday, whether it's drinking ensure, or eating higher calories meals less frequently a day. It's hard now, but you really do have to try to do so to keep your body losing fat and not storing it.

    Also a plug for water and exercise here. Both are a must to help your body change with the weight loss. This is hard but you will see the change and feel great! When you come off phen (and you will eventually) you will need to have already made great lifestyle changes that are habit and normal for you. So the faster you start focusing on eating well and maintaining these changes you will have better and long lasting success. Good luck

    And get those Ensure, those are high calorie drinks that will fill you up

    Today was my second weigh in day. I knew I had lost, but not nearly as much as last week. But hey, any weight loss is good. So anyways, this week, I am down 2.6 more lbs. I'm so close to my first goal, which is to be below 200 lbs. I haven't had the time to exercise this past week, and I don't think that's going to change in the next few weeks. I hope that doesn't affect my weight loss too much.

    I'm trying to decide if I want to just stay off Phen or go back on. I have been out for several days now and I am still doing ok. I haven't eaten anything I shouldn't, and I actually have more energy without it. I'm one of those people who doesn't get any energy from Phen--it makes me a bit lethargic.

    I finally have my first Dr. appointment on Friday. I should have gone sooner, but I had to reschedule. I'm curious to learn exactly how much I have lost based on her scale. I broke mine (with a swift kick into the wall!!!) and although it still seems to be working, I won't be comfy about what it says until I can compare it to her scale. Maybe i will talk to her about it and see what she thinks about keeping on with Phen or going off.

    Talking Hello all!!

    Well I am not sure if I am doing this the right way...but here we go. Let me start out by saying I have read most of this forum and you all post such great information. Well, I am a 27 y/o with 3 kids ages 6, 4, and 1 (as of today) and I have been married for 3 years. I have had a struggle with my weight most of my life and with having 3 kids I got up to my heaviest at 250lbs! Since then with I guess watching what I ate and taking care of all the kids I was able to get down to 190lbs. I have been stuck here for a few years and I guess thats good as long as I'm not gaining weight. So on monday I went for a check up with my endocranologist to check and see if I did in fact have a hyperthyroid. ( I was sorta told I had it with my last pregnancy). Anywho, I had seen some posters showing that the doctor helped with weight loss (I'm a tard didn't know they helped with that...lol) and asked what he could do to help me. Well he kinda blew me off and I had some blood work done and then the doc was with another pt. So as I was getting ready to leave I had asked him what he could do to help me and he gave me a script for 37.5mgs 1 a day phen. for 5 months. That was the first time that I had heard of this drug until this past monday. So I did a lot of reasearch which lead me to this forum. Now I am sorry this is so long, but I do have a few questions. 1st is, I thought that this drug was only supposed to be take no longer then 3 months? And I don't know y he gave me the strongest dose to start with. I am currently 191lbs and do want to lose weight but I am pretty scared to use a drug that I could become addicted to. He basically gave me the script and I feel he didn't really consider what he was giving me. Like I said I have done the reasearch and it seems to b a catch 22. You lose weight fast but when you come off of it you gain twice a much. Now I don't know how much of that is true but...Anywho again sorry so long, I just have a lot to say...lol...kinda theraputic....I started the phen yesterday and I noticed for the first two hours it almost felt like I was taking vicodin, but that subsided and since then just the occassional jitters and feeling pretty good. I have more questions but I will save them for another day. I feel like I have already met all of you through your posts and everyone seems very nice and to be doing well on phen. I promise I will not post another post this long again....lol

    I was down the 12 pounds again this morning! So I'm changing my thingy! Can't wait to see tomorrow...yes, I'm a scaleaholic!! Can't help it!!!

    I'm going walking with a friend I made on here tomorrow! She lives one town over from me! I can't wait! It'll be a blast! Take my daughter in the stroller and just go to town! We're meeting at 10! Hopefully Lexie (daughter) will sleep most of the time! Course, she's a nosey thing and will probably like to watch everyone more!
