I started on June 8th. So today is officially my 3 weeks. I've lost 12 pounds so far. I actually have to weigh myself again today because of the 3 weeks but I don't want to wake anyone up (it's 7:30 AM).
As for the water.. I would start drinking this much on a weekend. Because I know where you're coming from. I've always been a person that drinks a lot of fluids. But never pure water. Juice/soda/Kool-Aid etc. So when I started phen I started drinking about 3 liters of water daily. The daily recommended amount is 8 cups.. so about 2 liters. But supposedly you should be drinking more than that if you're overweight. So basically just half your weight in water.
I say start this on a weekend because the first few days when I started drinking this much water I was going to the bathroom every 15-30 minutes. It was just ridiculous. But I was very thirsty because of the dry mouth so I continued to drink. After about 4 or 5 days, your body gets used to it. I now go to the bathroom a normal amount of times. It lessens over the course of a week. So give that a try.
Also, as you know, water is very important to weight loss. When your body gets used to having enough water it begins to let go of your water weight. Also, if you don't drink enough, the sodium you consume absorbs what little water you do drink and causes you to start gaining more and more water weight. Weight loss aside, water has helped me feel less sluggish, made my face clear up considerably, made my skin feels much nicer, and has curbed my cravings for sweets.
