Phen or Tenuate AFTER prozac?

I took myself off of Prozac 5 weeks ago and I'm going to to a weight loss clinic this Friday (he prescribes Tenuate).
I'm just concerned if 5 weeks has been long enough? I'm excited to start the pills and the journey (he requires a 1200 calorie low carb diet and 4 x's a week exercising) but I know it can be dangerous if you have ANY antidepressants in your system.
AND I think I'm going through w/drawals of prozac this week

Any advice/information would be greatly appreciated and I will discuss these issues w/my dr. as well

Hi Cherri ~

I don't know about Tenuate, but my weight loss Doctor prescribes Wellbutrin with Phentermine to help off-set some of the negative side effects of the Phen. It does wonders in helping with cravings! There are also people that take "PhenPro" which is a combination of Phentermine and Prozac.

Hope all goes well at your appointment Friday! Let us know what the doc says about any interactions between anti-depressants and Tenuate.

I don't know a tremendous amount about anti-depressants but you said you took yourself off of them, did you tell your doctor? The reason I ask is,if you are taking them for the actual purpose ( I know some take it in juction with the Phen) this may be dangerous. I know a few friends that have taken themselves off anti-depressants without letting there doctor know and went through severe depression. I'm not trying to tell you your business just a little worried and concerned.

Girl, have at it!! take them together if u need to!! I have taken phenpro (phentermine+prozac) before and I loved it..It made me feel much better..plus they say that the combo of phen and prozac can actually help increase ur weight loss results by 13.3%+ so dont be afriad to try phen now either by itself or with the prozac k?
