Smile Lost 14 lbs my first month~only excercised the first week!!!!

I am so excited! I had to post because I wanted to hear about some of you guys success stories. I only worked out and followed a diet the first week and I stiil managed to lose 14 pounds! I LOVE it! I only have 40 pounds to go and I think I can knock out another 15-20 pounds this month if I work hard.

I posted below, but i'll do it again..I was in the hospital with my son for about three weeks out of the month. THAT is why I didn't work out like I am supposed to. Now that he is home and things seem like they will stay steady for awhile, I can work out on my elliptical and with my weights 5 days a week. Thanks to all of you who have posted, but please don't recommend that I work out..I do, but i got sidetracked for 3 weeks. Thanks!!!

Congrats! Not to be a bummer- but i would suggest you start following a diet/exercise program on a regular basis because phen (unfortunately) starts to be less effective the longer we use it. I would just hate to see you so gungho about it, and then not lose very much and quit. Most people lose a ton the first week/month and then even out to 2 or 3 pounds a week.

Once again, congrats!! 14 pounds is awesome and it is 14 pounds closer to your goal!

Congrats so far- I agree exercise & diet are important to keeping it off long-term.

I know you have to excercise to keep it off and to continue losing weight. The only reason I didn't keep it up the first month is that I spent most of that time at the hospital with my son. I literally lived in and out of Egleston & Scottish Rite in Atlanta for about 3 weeks and when I wasn't there, I was at school. He was having some issues, but now things seem okay and everything is back to normal. I'll be home more and have more time to work out.

Congrats and welcome. 14lbs is awesome. I agree with the other ladies though, you need to make changes in your lifestyle that include eating habits that you can follow for the rest of your life and incorporates some sort of exercise atleast 3-4 times a week. Good luck on losing the rest of your weight.

I'm glad that your son is doing better. I to haven't been able to really diet right or exercise for the past month or so because of medical problems. I'm actually sick at home with Shingles right now and while it isn't a bad case the meds are really whiping out my energy. Hopefully next week I'll be able to get back in there. You'll get there...I promise! Please keep us posted on your progress!
