Differences in Phen from month to month

Another thread got me thinking. Do you guys notice a difference in the way the Phen works when you pick up a new prescription, at the same place?
I'm not sure if it's the pills or not but I noticed a great increase in energy with my second bottle. I took a week off before starting my second bottle so maybe that's it. Not sure. Just wondering if anyone else noticed this.

its why I paid the extra money for the name brand. My mom had that problem so i figured if I only have three months to use it then I'd pay the money and make the most of it. Some of the places where she got ther generic hardly worked at all.

My brother in law works for Merck & Co. who are one of the main drug pharmacutical companys in the US they are owned by Johnson&Johnson, he told me a long time ago that when pills are made they are made in large vats (sp) so when they mix the drugs they have found that some drugs are a little more potent than others depending on where the pills are taken and processed in the vat, some areas won't mix as well as others almost like a clumping effect. The reason I had asked him about this is because when I had a surgery awhile back ago they gave me some painkillers and it seemed like some of the pills I wouldn't feel the effects at all and some would knock me right on my ***. So it's possible that sometimes you are getting pills from some of the "clumping" areas. I get a presciption weekly and some pills I feel a little more than others, but that also might just be from my diet for the day ( I thought about doing a journal and writing feelings as well as what I ate so I could see if there is any relation). Anyway, just a thought.

Thanks so much guys. It does sound like they may be different strengths then. You do think that the name brand would be more consistent?

I am so glad to know that. I've always said that sometimes they seem stronger than others. Now I know I'm not crazy!!!

Wow Naomi, that kinda scary if you think about it. Dosages are based on weight, what if you get the stronger end stuff...that could potentially have dangerous effects. (not talking about phen but some of the other heavy duty stuff out there)

Oh absolutely! Why do you think these drug manufacturer's are always getting sued?Overdose happens alot especially for people that are taking more than the prescribed amout. But the cost for them to make each individual pill would be very costly so they would rather take there chances and risk lawsuits. It's just like the car manufacturer's, Ford new way back when that people were dying left and right from there faulty tires but they didn't step forward with a recall until a certain amount of people died, it's all about dollars and cents and Health insurance companies aren't going to step in because drugs are much cheaper than surgery's and that leaves more profit for the healthcare companies and for the pharmiceutical companies it's a win, win for both of them.
