Weight loss clinic in Memphis area?

Does anyone know of or go to a good weight loss clinic in the Memphis area? I'm thinking of switching. The one I went to, I was not that impressed with. I thought it was supposed to me more of a program kind of thing. This was more like.......eat less bread, more meat and here's your pills come back in a month. Took like 5 minutes total. Maybe that's a good thing....lol. Dr. Miller's weight loss clinic in Cordova Tn is where I went.

Are you talking about The Mid-South weight loss clinic on Walnut Bend? Because me and everyone else I know that takes Phen goes to the Cordova Medical Clinic on Bonnie Lane.

And if you are looking for a program, these are NOT the places to go! All they do is get your paperwork and make sure you are right for Phen, and then they fill your prescription there or give you one to take to your pharmacy. It isn't a place that will talk to you about diets or have you come in weekly for weigh ins and progress checks and all that. You just go monthly to get your Phen and that's it!

Yes, that's where I go. I'm sure I'll continue to go there, just wasn't sure if that was the norm for weight loss clinics.

The clinic I go to in Jackson, Tn spends alot more time on nutrition and exercise. The counselor was a certified personal trainer at the biggest gym in town. She also gave me a food diary to fill out and gave me her personal email to stay in touch with her. They also gave me a one month membership to the gym and a free session with the trainer.

what gym do u go 2? I belong 2 Maximum Health & Fitness. How are u doing on ur phen; I was doing good until by body start to crave 4 some carb. But I have gotten back on track. I just only need 2 lose 8 more pounds. At a stand still. Have any ideas?

I go to Jackson Sport & Fitness. Try taking a couple of cycling classes each week. They are extremely intense but burn around 800 calories per class!

what are cycling classes? Is it the same as riding the bike?

No its a 45 minute class on cycling bikes. The front wheel on the bikes weigh 45 lbs and the instructor has you change resistance to make pedaling harder throughout the class. Very intense!

Doctor's Diet Program has clinics all over Tennessee now. I know Jackson one so I bet Memphis does. It cost $59.00 and they give you the pills there (37.5 phentermine for 1 month supply). It's easy and no hassel. Here's anumber you can call and ask. 731-285-0425. Good luck!!!
