    Default Anybody else tired......

Anybody else tired of the drama? This is my forth day visiting this site and my third day on Phen. I chose to come to this site because I thought I would read a lot of inspirational stories and get advice from people who are also trying to lose weight. I am utterly disappointed in what I have found here.... A lot of grown women acting as if they are children. From what I have read is has been going on for quite some time. These are my words of wisdom.Get over it! I mean the rest of us really don't need to know what is going on between two people on here. And when one person displays what another person has said about them so everyone else can see it, that is that person trying to pull others into their mess because they can not deal with it on their own and they want to turn others against that person. I am a 7th grade teacher I deal with this type of thing everyday from 12 and 13 year olds. Is this really necessary? Really? Who cares what someone else says about you? Like I tell my students "If it isn't true why are you letting it bother you?" When you respond to someone else who childish and petty you yourself become childish and petty. Ignore it and go on with your life and leave the rest of us out of it. (hopefully I do not speak only for myself)

I am not leaving the site because I have found some very useful comments, stories, and successes that have encouraged me to continue on my journey as I weaved through the sea of drama. I want to one day be able and visit and say that I have reached my goal. I want to one day be able to share that with the people I have already met here and the people who are later to come and share my experiences with them.

But give me a break. There are pages and pages of people going back and forth worried about what someone they probably have never met and probably wont ever meet has written about them. Is this really what I am going to have to deal with, with "adults". I'm just saying............ come on people! Give it a rest.

I am also new and was getting frusterated trying to find helpful comments and stories. I understand that forums is a social place but its just hard weeding thru the useless comments to find helpful ones. Thats just my two cents!

I just look through the threads and if something interest me, or if I feel like I need to vent, then I do reply or post a thread. I have read the threads about the petty things, but I look at like this, if Im going to talk about someone or poke fun of someone, I going to do it in person, not over the internet.

I don't have any problems with anyone on this site, and I have learned some real useful information. Too me, anyone that has lost a pound or a hundred pounds is an inspiration and might have some insight that may help me! If I don't want to get involved I just dont, and move to another thread.

Im sure after 4 or 5 months of being on this site, someone may say something to me to make theirselves feel better, and when or if they do I will just move onto another thread. Im not going to feed their fire.

I agree.....I've been on this forum for awhile and every once in awhile some kind of drama pops up then it settles back down. For the most part most everyone on here seems to be very nice and very supportive. You'll get many good tips and a lot of encouragement. I agree with what you're saying I used to get on the weight watchers forum but quit because of the drama on it. I guess on this one I've just learned to ignore the threads with the drama in it and pay attention to the helpful ones.

Hmmm while I agree with what you said in your post about their need to get over it.. I do think making a new thread just to state your opinion on a subject you already said is drama filled and doesn't concern you or anyone else but the few actually involved was kinda hypocritical as it just seems to continue to add to the "sea of drama" that you said was hard for you to wade through. Why not just respond to the threads that had already been bogged down with this stuff instead of creating yet another thread about it?

I do understand your point however, there are way too many places that I would have had to add my thought and may have been misconstrued as support for one or the other. As you said their are only a few involved but it is placed where, not only those few can see it but, everyone can see. No, the situation does not directly involve me but, being new to this site and seeing that type of thing can become discouraging and can turn some people away. As I have said I have only been here a short amount of time (now five days-feeling great by the way) and have come here looking for support and advice and have, not knowing who is who yet , come across pages of people putting others down, sarcasm, and insensitivity. I can't imagine that I am the only one that is doing this (new and coming across these posts).

In no way is my post intended to be drama, it is intended to let those who are doing this type of thing publicly know how it looks to a new comer and maybe even people who aren't new comers. I have a very large amount of weight to lose (100+lbs) and I am seeing people who are very near their goals arguing over who has a flatter stomach, I mean, do you understand where I am coming from? If this is what it is going to come to, I would rather stay fat.

So I posted this in this matter so instead of being lost at the bottom of numerus replies, I placed where others, like me, can also place an opinion and they can be read collectively. So in this support forum we can recieve a little support in having to encounter these things.

I no way is this meant to be hypocritical. I am not stirring up any drama. I not trying to turn anybody against anybody else. I am just stating my thoughts about something that I have encountered while trying to lose weight. So yes I am new, know nothing about where the drama is arrived, and am not involved in the actual drama, but am involved in the drama. How? Because by reading it I am able to form thoughts, opinions and am affected by it.

I guess eventually I will know whose posts to avoid but shouldn't have had to, as a severely obese person, read about two what I consider to be skinny people arguing about the flatter stomach. We are all here for the same reason, to meet people with the same struggle, to meet people who have met their goal and are close to reaching their goal ans aspire to be like them, to meet people that may have encountered some of the same obstacles and learn how they overcame them. Not to encounter discouraging comments, sarcasm, people bashing, and plain ol insensitivity.

My advice to the drama involved.
Keep the private messages private (something I believe you questioned) and ignore the haters. Do not fuel the fire and all will be squashed. And others won't have to deal with the drama because there will be no drama.

I thought this thread was about being tired. How naive am I?

But really, is anyone experiencing a low energy drive by the end of the day? I find myself getting tired at around 8:00 pm! Which isn't bad, but after work is my time to work out, and when I'm tired I just don't have enough energy to do it.

Do you think it's because I'm eating less, which is not giving my body as much energy as it needs? Or is it that the Phen has worn down by that time, being as I take it in the morning?

    So many questions... :/

Sorry, I didn't think about that until after I had done it. But we can make it about being tired. I wouldn't say that my energy is as low at the endof the day as it was before I was taking it. But it is low, which I am happy about because before I started taking it I was concerned about the insomnia side effect listed. I wish I could give a little advice on what you should do but I just started taking it my self.

    Again, sorry for the confusion.

    No it's okay.

My friend Skye is taking Phen too, and she said her first week she wasn't able to sleep good.

I can sleep fine, which is good.

I think it's because i'm literally eating half of what I used to, somedays even less. I think my body is just trying to adjust, but I don't know.

I've only been on phen for like 6 days, and i've called my dr. almost everyday. I'm not a hypocondriac, or whatever you call those type of people, i'm just worried, because the more I read up on Phen the scarier it seems.

Although, the women here seem to give a little hope that it's not all that bad, you know.

That is what is good thing about this site. It is helpful in many ways. After you get over the depression of not being able to fight in a flattest stomach contest. (sarcasm of course) LOL.

Well clearly I am somewhat new here, but I've seen plenty of internet drama on boards over the years. This doesn't seem like a place where it would be expected.

Can someone just boil down what the issue is here? Is it like ego/power struggles where people are trying to be right and someone else has to be wrong? About dieting I presume? LOL Is it just something ongoing between a few people that keeps cropping up with those same people? Is there something that could just be said, plain and simple, everyone get it out of their system and then move the hell on? Not ALL conflict is bad, but if it starts to disrupt the normal flow of things, sometimes it just needs to be put out there.

I just can't think of what there could be to fight about.

I've noticed on other "diet" boards I've been on in the past that there are often a lot of "know-it-all" posts and the thing is that none of has "the answer" because here we are, on a dieting board, taking a diet pill because we didn't have the answers.

It's so much easier to either support each other or keep it shut. I don't understand why if people don't like each other, they don't just ignore each other's posts? It's really pretty easy.
    This is about me
