Lost Weight: 40 lbs. since 11/17!

Default 25 lbs. lost...only 1 jean size down?!?

I've lost 25 lbs. & have only gone down 1 jean size! I went from a 16 down to a 14. I can actually put on a 12 but I have major muffin top (lol) so those won't be going back on for a while!

Is this normal? I know everyone loses weight in different places but it just seems like I should be at least down 2 sizes by now! How many pounds did you have to lose to get down jean sizes?

Thx!

Yes, it really is dependant on the person. I have lost 34 pounds and I'm down 2 sizes. I have lost more weight in my waist than in my hips/thighs so it makes a difference. Also, it would depend on the brand of clothing.

CONGRATULATIONS on the 25 pounds!

Thanks!

I've lost a ton in my waist so that's probably it! I've got my hourglass figure back but I wish the bottom half would go down a lot more!!!

Yep, I think that's it - I always lose up top alot faster than "down there" LOL

If you go to www.zafu.com you can put in your information and it will let you know which jeans will fit you best. I always have that dumb gap at the back cause my waist is smaller than the rest. So it will ask you a series of questions and then come up with a list of jeans which are rated to percentage of fit. I didn't buy any of those jeans cause I do not want to spend alot since i'm still losing. But i might just go try them on to see how they fit me.

I checked that website out before! It said that Gap jeans were good for me. I got some in a 12 I can't wait to fit into them. I think I'm actually like a 12 1/2 because my 14's are getting baggy but the 12's are too tight. Ugh!

when I was 140 lbs I wore a 11/12 or 13 in like MUD jeans and at 200lbs I wear a 16/17 so even though I am up 60lbs I only went up 3 pant sizes, so it all depends on your body shape

Are you doing any type of toning or strength training? Losing weight doesn't necessarily translate into lost inches.

Of course! I work out at least every other day. I walk/jog pushing my double stroller, I do my Wii Fit & Personal Trainer & also work out using DVDs.

Jenn

Edited to add: That I forgot to say that I do weights as well!

Thanks!

I went to the doctor this morning & I wore the same pants that I wore when I first went in there...I can't believe how baggy they are & most importantly, I can't believe that they were actually tight on me! So I am losing...! I guess I just need to see jean #'s fall faster! lol

i feel the SAME way as you do! i lost a total of 38lbs (2lbs the wk prior to getting the script, 36lbs since starting phen 11/22/008). i was wearing a size 18 - comfortably - and now i can wear a size 16 comfortably. i could probably squeeze myself into a 14, but, i definatley want COMFORT and not to feel like i can't move lol. i guess everyone is different though! hopefully by the end of summer we will be in one digit sizes!

Talking I think you're doing well...

I've lost 45 lbs. so far on Phen and am only down 1 size of jeans. I started much higher and I have to assume that's why, but I am grateful for the decrease in size anyway. I think that the 10-lbs-is-a-size must only pertain to those that start out at a smaller size, like a 14 or 12 and go down from there. You'll make it!
