Default jillian michaels 30 day shred

okay i'm getting super bored with the treadmill, stationary bike, pilates and just lifting weights. has anyone tried the jillian michaels 30 day shred?? it looks like a combination of cardio, weight training, and core workout. i got it last night but haven't really did it yet. has anyone used it and liked it or saw the results that it promised? i'm seeing mixed reviews on it.

Hey I just recently got a copy of it and probably should have already started it - but since you reminded me I'll get my behind moving on this - I've heard mostly good things about it. I'll start it today and see where it takes me!

    Thumbs up I love Jillian!!!

I haven't used the "Shred" video, but I do have the Biggest Winner set, with Jillian Michaels. It is AWESOME!!! She kicks my butt. The videos I have use an aerobic step at times, and light weights (I use 3lbs), and a floor mat for floor exercises. She keeps you aerobic the whole time.

I didn't know about the "Shred" video. Please let me know how you like it, I may buy it!

I've used the 30 day shred a few times, it's available on Comcast On Demand. I did feel the burn in my arms and abs the next day. I couldn't keep up with the cardio (lots of jumping jacks and jump rope routines) so I'd just run in place. The only equipment you need are dumbbells for the arm exercises. It's a good overall workout and not too long.

    I LOVE JILLIAN MICHAEL'S 30 DAY SHRED!!!

Okay now I will turn down the volume. Seriously, it rocks. It is a basic to the point, back in the day gym class workout. There are no thrills or frills. It has 3 levels. Besides Jillian, you have 2 ladies in the back, 1 beginner, 1 intermediate. That way the moves can be adjusted for people who need and keep the proper form. Most of her moves ensure your small muscles work in tandem with your larger muscle groups( truecircuit training), resulting in your burning calories effectively and efficiently in a short amount of time.

These are examples of some of the moves.

You will do 3 minutes of Cardio:
    1.Jumping Jacks-1 minute
    2. High Knee Kicks-1 minute
    3. Skaters-1minute

You will do 3 minutes of strength:
    1. Walking Push ups-1min
    2. Squats with Hand weights-1 min
    3. Mountain Climbers/Squat Thrusts-1 minute

I give it two thumbs up. I hope you enjoy it.

I also love this video! It changes everything up so working out doesn't seem so boring. I have done mine about 10 times now, and it works me over good!

I love the Shred dvd. I talked about it on the Life after Phen challenge. Its amazing how just 20 minutes of kick *** exercising can leave you drenched & panting. I have read on some other sites where some folks may do 2 back to back exercises. I feel that I am in excellent shape, but there is no way in heck I want to do that. Jillian also has 2 other dvds that I enjoy. One dvd works the front muscles & the other work the back muscles. They are about 30 minutes long with a lot of cardio like the shred dvd. Doing these dvds have gotten me in the 140s. I will keep them in steady rotation.

Question Did anyone stick with it the 30 days???

I have the DVD and am on day 4 (and loving it) I'm looking for ppl who have completed all 30 days. I'm doing them back-to-back (through sore muscles and all) and want to see what other's progress has been. I think I'll lose some fat, but gain more muscle and tone up, which is fine with me.

I hope someone responds with positive feedback. I've been on Phen on and off for about 2 months. I can't take it regulary, but see results when I do 5 days on and two weeks off. Who knows?!!

I have been doin the 30 day shred along with my bike riding. I LOVE IT!! You will be sore from head to toe the first couple of times, but that means it is working. I am going to do the full 30 days, but I read a review on it and it said that it will completely tone you up!! That is what i want, so I think you made a good choice. It is great!!!!

I do it every other day, and then the off days I do the cardio blast, weightloss yoga or power scult. I take Sundays off. I accredit my inches off my stomach to it.
