    Default Just starting week 3

Hello all. I'm not sure what to think. I am taking 1/2 pill daily (37.5 mg) and I am just beginning my third week. I got on the scales today and I haven't lost ANY weight. None.
I do, however, feel thinner. How does THAT work?
I have definately been eating less (and healthier) and making my workouts more of a priority. Today I overslept my step class, so I did the eliptical for TWO HOURS. According to the machine, I burned 1,057 calories. Then I did my push-ups and stretches.
I don't get it. The scale is very discouraging . . . errr!

Your doing great so dont be discouraged, are you eating enough? If you burned that many calories you have to make up the calories burned with more food to fuel your body. You dont have as much weight to lose as many others on here, the less you have to lose the harder it will be to take it off. Did you measure yourself when you first started? Often we may not lose lbs but lose inches instead.

Well, I just had coffee with cream for breakfast, then a subway sandwich meal after the gym. I am trying to eat enough to keep my metabolism from thinking that I am starving, while still having a big calorie defecit.
No, I didn't measure myself. How can you get smaller but not lose weight? That doesn't make sense to me . . . unless the fat just changes to muscle. But I know that is not the case for me . . .
    I guess I will just have to be patient . . .

Well the bigger deficit u may have might acctually retain you from losing weight, I know I have to eat to lose weight, if I dont eat around 1200 calories a day while exercising I dont lose anything. My metabolism loves food and I see as long as I exercise, eat right, and get to my calories I do lose weight. You can lose inches, meaning your body decreases sizes, are your pants getting bigger, face getting smaller, sometimes we dont lose weight in lbs of fat. Well your body needs to eat more from the looks of it, eat small healthy snacks like cottage cheese, yogurt, fruit, protein shakes and bars to keep hunger at bay and burn more calories, you should also eat 3 hours before a workout and around 30 minutes after a workout from what I have heard .
