ANYONE HEARD OR USED MERIDIA? ANY REVIEW ON THE PILL?

Hey guys! I am just wondering if anyone here has used or heard of Meridia? My doctor prescribed it to me and I am going to start it next week! I just wanted to know if anyone has taken it before and can give me some insight on it.

I have used Merida but for only a couple monthes and for me it didn't really do anything. I do think everyone is different and you need to find what is right for you. Good luck to you

I HATE TO BE NEGATIVE BUT I DID NOT LIKE IT EITHER. IT DID NOTHING FOR ME. IT HAS BEEN SEVERAL YEARS AGO MAYBE IT IS BETTER I WISH YOU ALL THE LUCK IN THE WORLD.

Hey,
Well I wish you all the luck on Meridia. Are you taking phen too? If im not mistaken, Meridia is the same think as ALLI but at perscription strength. So, just be careful what you eat while taking it. I hear it can make you go to the bathroom all day especially if you are eating a high fat diet. cuz its supposed to block some of the fat you eat from being digested, so it straight thru you if you know what I mean. Ive heard both sides some ppl love it and others dont cuz of the bathroom thing.

Never took it but my co-worker is taking it now and has been for awhile on a medically supervised program with support from a dietician. She has lost 50 lbs in the past 6 months. She was my inspiration to speak with my doc about weight loss.....

Tried it, didn't really care for it. Not to be gross, but depending on what you eat, it can cause oily discharge, etc.. Always need spare clothes nearby, just in case. Didn't lose weight while on it at all. People say it works though...i certainly didn't gain weight, but no dramatic weight loss at all.

Thanks everyone for sharing their exerience and also giving some feedback!

My doctor told me it was something similar to PHEN. I am in Canada and here PHEN is not available. My dco said its discountinued, so he said to try Meridia. I am going to start next week so hopefuly it works! I have also tried Xenical which worked but the side effects were just nasty! I lost 15lbs with it but couldn't take it any longer.

Lets hope Meridia doesn't react the same!

i tried meridian and it didnt work for me my friend takes it and it works ok for her so i guess its different for every1... all it did for me was make my bp go sky high ...

Meridia controls appetite just as phen does. the active ingredient is sibutramine and works in the area of the brain that signals a sense of fullness (that didn't work well for me like phen does) Xenical is the medication that works the same as alli allowing your body to get rid of a certain amount of fat and that is why when taking xenical or alli you need to watch your fat intake. I have also taking alli and had no problems but was only losing about .5lb a week.
