Red face What am I doing wrong?!
Ok so it is the middle of my second week and I am losing at a snails pace. I have been watching what I eat, 800 to 1000 calories a day. Doing the treadmill for 30-45 minutes a day and drowning myself in water. I am losing like .2lbs a day maybe. Is that normal and I am being impatient or am I doing something wrong? Its such a big change from last week when I lost over 9lbs. I knew I would lose a lot at first so maybe I am settling in and I am being impatient, what do you all think?

That sounds perfectly on track to lose 1 1/2lbs a week, if not more. It does slow down after the bigger loss the first week (lots of water loss) so you are doing great. I know that it gets frustrating losing at a "snails pace" but its a loss none the less. Keep strong and you will be at your goal soon !
Goal- 135 by Christmas but would love 130

well I am only on day 4 taking Phen. but remember the first week was more than likely water weight, and it may be possible that you are not getting enough calories...My Doctor suggested that I eat no less than 1200 calories a day, I am ,finding that very hard to do..Meaning that I am not getting enough calories...Good luck to you..

Bummer, I was really wanting to lose more than 6lbs a month. How in the world do people lose so much. I read one post where a lady lost 50 somthing in 3 months. That would be awesome. I have 56.4lbs to my goal, thats going to take awhile. At this pace it will take me 9+ months to get to my goal.

Hey girl, dont worry about it...You KNEW the first week would be the water weight so just keep exercising and eating right and it will continue to come off...I just hit my week 1 yesterday and as of this morning I am only down 9.4lbs but I know that since I really JUST started eating right and exercising that it might take a few days or so to kick your body into high gear...be patient and stay on the right track, slow and steady will pay off in the long run k?? Keep in touch still!!

I think you will lose it faster than that...It seems like evryone is losing very fast, I hope I can lose as fast as everyone else! My Doctors is only gonna let me take Phen. for 3 months...

Well, I have to say that I'm on Phen for 8 days now, and I didn't lost anything. I don't feel that my appetite is supressed. I excersise every day on Powerplate, not eating sweats, and I have cut my meals. Nothing! Should I be worried? Sorry about my English!

Everyone is different i eat 300-500 calories a day and exercise 4-5 days a week. 2 lbs a week they say is "healthy" weight loss but it all depends on what you are eating also. Yes you are eating 800-1000 calories a day but are you eating red meat? Salty foods? high in carbs? sugars? are you drinking half your body weight in water? sodas? all these things might play a part in you not losing enough. If your exercising as much as you are there has to be something else thats not letting you lose enough weight. Dont give up though. Like they say anything weight loss is good weight loss. and .2 is alot better then gaining .2 so always think of it in a positive way. Also iam not sure if you are eating the same thing daily but if you are try to switch it up a bit trick your body and that will help also. Good Luck

I am eating very little red meat, really watching my salt, and I don't drink soda. I dont drink anything other than plain water, and I drink about a gallon a day. I also watch my carbs and don't eat the same things everyday. I am going to stick with it though. I know that the weight has got to give and if I don't keep at it I will gain and thats the last thing I want. If I don't see results by the time I go see my doctor at the end of the month I will talk to her. I am GOING TO lose this weight, no more going to TRY! Its on!

If I hadn't seen your avatar pic I would have swore that I wrote your post and forgot that I did! Tomorrow it will be 2 weeks since I started taking the phen. The first week I lost 8lbs and then proceeded to gain 2-3lbs back depending on what day it was. I was very disappointed becuase I too expected faster results with the phen. HOWEVER....I've been reading the posts on this site and applying various tips and suggestions and now I'm down to my origional 8lbs lost. I've come to the conclusion that phen affects people in different ways. Some people lose a ton of weight without effort and some people have to struggle to lose every ounce. At one point I thought about quitting the phen and just trying to lose the weight on my own but with phen I have little to no appetite and I decided that if that's all that it would do for me then I would take advantage of that and do the rest myself. I really think that my attitude got in the way during the first week and a half becuase my expectations were not being met. Don't get discouraged. You should ask yourself if you would have been able to lose what you've lost on the phen without it. If the answer is no, then the phen IS working, just not the way you expected it too. You can still reach your goal! This site is full of experiences that are similar to yours and there are a lot of helpful and sincere people here who wish you success. Keep up the good work!

Onmyway- you WILL lose weight if you continue what you are doing, it just may not be as fast as you want it to be. Hang in there. Have you ever watched "Biggest Loser" ? Those people work their a**** off and still sometimes they walk away from the week with only a few pounds lost. Do you think that you are working out more than they are ? If your answer is no, then understand that what you are losing is great progress! You didn't put this weight on overngiht, so its not gonna come off that way either.
Goal- 135 by Christmas but would love 130

yes dont give up! everyone loses at their own pace. we are all different some lose quicker then others. You know iam not sure who you were refernceing about over 50lbs in 3months but i also lost over 50 lbs in 3 months just started my 4th month but iam not sure if i lost quicker because i had my daughter 2 years ago by c-section? maybe once i started lifting a finger and stopped being lazy the weight just fell off? dont know either way please dont give up

Hey Mommy2Belle- I'm curious, do you ever wonder what will happen when you bump your calorie intake up to a normal amount once you are at goal? I noticed that your intake is awfully low ( I would be starving, lol) and I would think that once you do start eating a "normal" amount, you would gain. Just curious and a little intrigued
