Question Fat back and no butt....?!?
Ugg...the more weight I lose the stranger I look. I have awesome legs and finally my arms are starting to look toned. There's just my back. Well, I dunno if is the presence of back fat or the absence of a butt that is causing the problem. I have NO BUTT...I'm serious...not just a little one...like..NO...BUTT! my love handles stick out about 2 inches further that my but (no lie)...it looks as though my butt is actually concave. So here's the question:

What exercises will work to:

Gain a butt and lose back fat...I have seen no improvement. I workout on the elliptical daily and I use the incline that is supposed to tone the butt and I've seen nothing change in 6 months of works.

TIA
I've got arms and legs on my body...

The exercises that will work to up the booty are squats, lundges, standing leg lifts to the back(this you should feel in your butt right away) and walking on the tredmill at a high incline. On the eliptical, try going backwards. It works the hamstrings, thighs and butt. Then, in the weight room(at my gym at least) on the machines they tell you which body part it works so you can look for those. Oh yeah, the stairs are good too.

Tisha's got the right idea.

When I hit the 180's, I noticed similar things that you mentioned. I had these nasty "love handles" at the bottom of my waist, on my back and my butt disappeared.

I increased the incline on my treadmill to 4.5 to 5.5 percent, and once I hit the 170's and now 160's, my butt is back where she belongs (sans the 6 pack shelf-butt flaw) LOL

i do a great incline workout on the treadmill...start at a 4...and end up at a 13...and its helping with my back bacon from baby number four....and Tisha is so right...squats...lunges....and standing leg lifts...whoo hoo...those are great...and dont worry about using alot of weight....low weight...lots of reps....another great thing I have found for the belly....back...love handle fat....is to get a medicine ball...sit with your legs together out in front of you bent at the knees a bit; and lean back and with the medicine ball twist at the hips while contracting your core....it is helping with my back issues...slow...but sure.....good luck

Thanks folks! Ima try those things tonight. I still have 25 lbs to lose and since everything else is toned I feel like it will all come from my middle WOOHOO! Anyway, does anyone know if pilates helps any of these issues? I wanted to try it but I don't want to waste my limited time on just stretchin'

Hi notjustanykatie! Pilates actually will give the long string bean appearance, rather then just weights that give you the nice health toned thick appearance. Think about balleriena's, that's the shape you will have if you do pilate's since that's what a lot of their movement is.

BTW - my first time around lossing a massive amount of weight without phen, i had the same problem...i never thought my back boobs would go away, but they do...and my pouch, Dear Lord that seemed to get sagger and sagger before it started to disappear.

Don't worry sweety, it'll all go away. Keep up the great work!
