Pharmacy gave me two brands of Phen - Phentermine.com

Ok went to pick up my meds (30 mg of gen. Phen capsules) and was informed that I had two types of Phen in the bottle. Didn't exactly know what to do. It was more of course than normal. About 10$ more. Opened it at home and found 4 normal blue capsules I've been taking and the rest were the yellow ones. I believe on the forum home page it called it brand Ionamin (sp?). Are they the same? What do you think I should have done? Do you think this is gonna mess with my weight loss? I'm suddenly apprehensive and wish that they just gave me the four normal ones I've been on and ordered the others.

I think I would have had them order the rest. I don't know what the difference is. I am trying to find my neighbor who is now a certified pharmacy tech home to ask her some questions. I have to do it without letting her know I am taking Phen though, I don't think it is any business of the rest of the neighbors. I will use this as an example.

Thanks for checking on that for me Glenna. I really appreciate it. Next time, since it's out of my pocket expense, I'll call and check around to make sure they have a full month's supply before I have the doc call it in.

am also on the 30 mg from the weight loss clinic and they are yellow capsuls as well. I can't complain, I don't have the extra boost of energy that some have spoken of but yesterday started my week number three and I am seeing pretty good results. Don't know if this helps but it may let you breathe a little easier until you find the answer.

Thanks your input hmhunter. I took my pill this morning and it's going well. In fact it may have been a great thing. It's like when I first took Phen 2 months ago. I don't even feel hungry. Since I'm on TOM I decided to start off with the ones that I wasn't sure of (the yellow ones) and use the last four of the gen phen that i'm accustomed to after TOM is over. So perhaps the change up will work for me.

Glenna, I'm still interested in what your pharm friend said.

Perhaps my fears were unfounded. Just reading so much from the forums that people didn't have success with the different pills or just felt sick. Made me nervous.

Love this forum and how we all support each other!

Sorry you got 2 different pills, I have heard good things about those with yellow capsules. Maybe you'll be in onderland before me, IDK TOM is being a pain in the A*S!! Lol were still on right lol?

I get the 30 mg generic ones from my pharmacy...they are yellow capsules and I think the manufacturer is Mutual. They work great for me.

Yep Alykat06, we are on....I'm on TOM too. He surprised me tad early but I'm still losing. Hopefully be 208 tomorrow.

Okay Ally, I couldn't catch my neighbor but since I had to go to Walgreen's to pick up a script I asked them. The Pharmasist said that there shouldn't be any difference in dosage, he did say however that it is unusal that they didn't give you the option to take the 4 they had and wait for the others.

yeah I started TOM thursday and I was losing weight up til sunday, then I woke up monday and I have been 206 ever since, 3 lb gain from eating right and exercising?I didnt have taco bell like my boyfriend, bairly ate half my plate of food saturday, made chicken sunday night...healthy eating and drinking, 3 lb gain, I think not! Funny how TOM can effect our bodies so much. That and the fact I hadnt gone to the bathroom since saturday has a big effect on the scale. I am skipping phen for a few days and starting it again this weekend to see if the weight loss picks up again lol.

How frustrating! I can so relate. Just last week that happened to me...not because of TOM but for some other unexplainable reason. I knew a pound was probably bathroom related but not 4 pounds. I had been eating just the same as the previous 10 days when I had been losing weight, lol. So all of last week I was dealing with those 4 pounds. Now I'm finally on the decline again and TOM shows up a tad early. Not sure which one of us will get to onderland first. LMAO
